It's possible they love our dog as much as we do. Great people with wonderful experience and clean play/sleep areas for the dogs. They know our dog by name and he is always excited to go, happy when we pick him up and tuckered out from a day of playing with his friends. The patties are awesome and the overnight lodging is like a Marriot!

Such a beautiful place on the outside and front inside of the building, but it's sad you can't tour the entire boarding facility to know exactly where your fur baby will be staying while in their care... Why hide how your business is run and how it looks inside to your customers?? Every other boarding facility I've been to has let their customers tour the entire building if they wish to and ask questions throughout the tour. I hope for future pet clients and for the sake of the facility this has changed since the last time I was there. (Just like a Hotel for humans... A person can complain about their Hotel Room to get a different room and fix the problem, but an animal can't complain about their room and get the problem fixed... We need to be their voice.)

Our dog Brandi was very sick after after taking her in for grooming. I should have realized that something was wrong when we were told that Jared and Jen were no longer employed at Kountry Kennels. After several hundred dollars in Vet Bill's due to Kennel Caugh, I tried to contact Kristen, but for some reason she refuses to contact me. I am one of many, many people that have sick dogs from boarding at Kountry Kennels. I'm sure that Kountry Kennels has to have some sort of insurance policy or reimbursement plan to cover boarders cost incurred by the kennels neglect.

I am coming back to edit my review and to state why we are not returning. The first time we dropped our dog off here, they treated him great and he came back a normal dog. The third time we took him, we had called once to see how he was doing becuase we were gone for 5 days. They told us he was doing great, no issues, etc. When I picked him up, I immediately noticed that he had sores on the front of his mouth that were bleeding and had been there for a few days. I asked the staff what was going on and how long it looked like that. They looked through the paperwork and basically shrugged and said we don't know, there's nothing here. I took him home and noticed that he couldn't even bark his throat was so hoarse. Thank goodness it wasn't as serious as the rest of the reviews who lost a dog, but I specifically told them that last time he was there he came back hoarse (mildly) and said that if he barks a lot he needs to be moved to a bigger suite and we will pay the difference. When we checked in and called, they said everything was fine. This shows me that they aren't attentive to their dogs and do not care about them. We have moved facilities and are extremely happy with the service and have never had an issue like this again. Travis had a great time for a weekend overnight trip! He came back after being given a bath and smelled AMAZING for over a month, we were shocked! He has food aggression with other dogs so he wasn't able to be in the pen with all the other dogs, but they let him out next to them and they said he did really well. I love that they will accommodate for issues that are manageable.

1st. Time using so of course I was very nervous. They took very good care of my Bella and she did not have to endure the horrors of July 4th. She will now vacation here yearly.

*** I have never edited a review before but thought it was appropriate today! This is what I got after picking up My Dexter from his bath today. The most happy handsome boy you’ve ever seen!***Thanks for is Dexter’s favorite place to go play with his friends. He has met so many friends there that now we go to birthday parties, training and other various activities for pups. I highly recommend bringing your animals here for baths, their nails, their teeth, play dates, birthday parties, training, and even boarding! The facilities are clean, safe animal and family friendly ❤️

Cleanest kennel I have ever seen. They legitimately love and care for all of the animals entrusted to them. My dog, who normally never wants to be more than 10' from me, can't wait to be dropped off once we pull into the lot here.

I've never had to edit a review before, but the circumstances warrant it. I spent thousands of dollars for training which ultimately failed. They will sell you a shock collar - this technique did not work and my wife and I have reason to believe the owner and staff abused our dog with it. We have documented cases and photographs. I spent thousands of dollars for doggie daycare and boarding. After several months, our dog started to become lethargic and her temperament changed. Then we began to see punctures and marks on her neck and body. The trainer, staff, and owner all dismissed our claims and we received extremely poor communication as to what was going on. We pulled her from the facility. There's a lot more that happened but not enough space here. Then, we started to hear other pet owner's stories and they seemed very similar. We reached out to ex-employees who we were close with and it turns out the level of "care" our dog received was abysmal. Our dog actually was kept in a kennel all day despite the service package we purchased. There are other serious claims of abuse. Apparently several dogs have died while in the care of this facility. There was literally a protest outside the building a week ago due to these allegations. These are bad people operating this company. It ought to be shut down. I regret ever going there and putting my dog through what can only be described as torture. Be warned.

Had our dog stay there for 4 days and 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend. Staff seemed friendly. Picked up our pup and he had all kinds of cuts and scrapes on his legs and paws and just seemed very off. 2 days later he now has sores all over his back legs. Staffs response was they didn't know what had happened. Taking to vet tomorrow. Have used Ruffners in st charles every other time and never any issues. Not very pleased and will not go back to.

I only trust Kountry Pet Resort taking care of my dog. We don't live nearby and will drive hours to have him stay at KPR while on vacation. Great staff-always nice and personable.

I boarded my 5 month old Goldendoodle at Kountry pet for the 10 day lodge and learn program. On Friday, April 16, 2021 (7 days into her program) we get at call at appropriately 8:30 in the morning informing us that our healthy puppy was suddenly not eating and was lethargic. They went ahead and let us know we needed to pick her up and take her to the vet because she had miraculously changed over night. Upon picking up my dog, Jared walked my lethargic puppy out to the door, the same puppy that they deemed “lethargic” that was visibly struggling to walk. I immediately picked up my sick puppy and was shooed out the door. Jared walked out with me and stated “we will figure out payment later.” In a moment like this, payment is the last thing they should be worried about. After taking our puppy, Duncan, to her vet, she was transferred to Veterinary Specialist Center in critical condition. Unfortunately, 24 hours later, we had to put Duncan to sleep because of the state she was in. During her 24 hours at VSC (Veterinary Specialist Center), Kountry Pet didn’t once call to check in on our puppy. In fact we needed to call and let them know any sort of update that we received about our pup. While Duncan was hospitalized, we received a bit more detailed timeline of her stay at Kountry Pet. At approximately 5 am Friday morning, the nutritionist turned the lights on and tried feeding our puppy. At this point, Duncan would not eat her food. They noted this and decided to try to make her go to outside thinking she was constipated. When that did not work, they tried to feed her beef and rice. This wasn’t successful either. After these attempts, we still weren’t notified. The last resort before informing my family of our dogs manner, the vet tech decided to give my dog fluids under her skin. These fluids were in fact her personal property that she uses for her dog. None of these efforts worked for my dog and none were okayed by myself. That’s when they decided to call my family at 830 am to let us know. Why wasn’t I asked or informed there were doing these things to my 5 month old puppy? It comes to find out that these 3 and a half hours were crucial hours for my dog and if they had notified me as soon as they noticed the change in behavior, the outcome could be much different. Duncan passed away from aspirational pneumonia. I’m in no way saying that Kountry Pet is responsible for my dogs sickness (but rethinking that after reading other reviews), but I am confidentiality stating they were neglectful and lacked urgency when notifying my family in a timely manner in response to my dogs behavior. I never want anyone to have to put their 5 month old puppy to sleep because of this facilities negligence and lack of urgency. After contacting the facility upon Duncan’s passing, we were asked to collect all medical bills and forward those bills to them and further to their insurance company. We did that as soon as they asked (approximately a month ago). A few weeks ago, we receive a message that their insurance company has denied our requests and will not be held responsible. When I came on here and saw the two other reviews and how they stated their dogs had also suffered in the hands of Kountry Pet, I decided to finally write my own review. There is absolutely some thing happening at this facility. They won’t allow any security footage to be shared. I believe something is hidden in those videos and that is their way to cover their negligence. I won’t stop until I get answers. I’ve called a handful of times to talk to management, but not one person has returned any of my calls. Sending my puppy here was a big mistake. Attached is a picture of Duncan prior to being brought to this facility.

Took great care of our 2 dogs for a week while on vacation. Going to use them every time we're out of town from now on. Dogs actually seemed to be sad to have to leave after playing with all the other dogs for a week.
