Got our dog back from boarding just fine. However watch out for lots of fees. We boarded our dog here as we couldn't find another option for the holidays. ie. Medication administration fee for giving fish oil with meals, if we knew about this our dog could've skipped the fish oil for the few days he was there. Quickly turned into $90 a day for kennel boarding, which is kind of a rip off.

I've been going to this animal hospital since My daughter was a few months old (rabbit baby). Got her fixed there as well. It was a great experience. However she recently got sick out of no where last week. And was not eating or drinking. I took her in (Thursday) they told me it was a upper respiratory infection an put her on meds. Her original doctor wasn't in that day. An I still went in, she told me to call the next day if i had any questions,so i called the next day. They took the whole entire day to call me back (Friday) . By this time 5pm and i was giving her another dose of medication. She called an said sorry she was busy which i get that but I've called and sent photos since 8am(Friday) no response from the doctor i talk to nurses. She put her on a powder/ liquid diet and eye medication. Now at this point her eye is looking very weird to me. I rushed up there to get the medication and no she did not even offer to see my baby. I started the medication as soon as i got home to her. She ate the food but was really weak. Thinking all she needed was a few doses and would feel better i made another appointment with her doctor for this past Sunday. So She could see her and why i was sooo worried. She specifically told me "their was nothing to worry about". She will see me on Sunday. Well by the next morning(Saturday)my baby was wayyy worse than she was the precious night. I called them at 6am an of course they are closed, so the reconnected me to another 24 hr vet that doesn't do any thing for rabbits. No help at all. I called back again left a message. They called me back at 8am saying who they are on Saturday morning. Saying they got my message and proceeded to talk about somewhere else i could go. And when She finally stopped talking i told her my baby had passed away at 630am. Now she's sorry to hear that and instantly talked about burial options. I'm still in a state of shock. She is my families world. An i felt hopeless an no one took me seriously. I am angry sad upset and in raged. Do not send your pet here. She died in my arms nose to nose in front of my daughter. We can not sleep barely eating. I wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy. All they are worried about is money. She still hasn't called or anything to say a word to me. And my baby is GONE.

Vets have become more interested in financials and disregard the compassion towards the animals. The vets are UNRESPONSIVE and the staff dismissive if and when your constantly put on hold. Please consider other options if you truly love your animals! I was originally a customer for many years but have seen a change in service and care which now leads me to seek another group of vets who will maintain that great passion for the animals!

I chose to give 2 stars because the Veterinarian that we worked with, Dr. R, has been amazing and she has shown genuine care and concern for our pup. However, each time we speak with a technician, my fiancé and I deal with so much attitude from them. It’s ridiculous especially when you are calling about a concern and worried for your dog. I especially don’t appreciate Tammy because she’s been rude, not empathetic, and not helpful whatsoever during this worrisome time for us and our dog. Will be switching vets and going elsewhere as this is a reoccurring issue. I have spoken with other vets and technicians and I kid you not, the service as well as their assistance has been AMAZING. I’m so blown away at the contrast from Glen Ellyn. Disappointed

They have little idea in regards to the Petland certificate.

Very disappointed with how they have handled the last two visits with our dog both in billing and service...needless to say, it's clearly good to be the Vet biz...

This was my first time at Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital. I made an appointment because I was worried about my dog and my normal vet had nothing open until the end of the month. Needless to say, if I'm concerned, I don't want to wait two weeks. Dr. Manna saw me within a day and she was a very good Doctor. She was gentle with my dog even though the area she had to poke was very sensitive. Dr. Manna let me hold my dog while she did the work. I am a dog trainer and my dogs are very comfortable with me handling them. Although the results were inconclusive, my dog is okay and Dr. Manna was able to ease my mind a bit. I will be back again.

We just switched here with our two dogs and we’re already big fans. Our dogs are antsy and anxious so the dr immediately offered to prepare the vaccines in the back and bring them in to the room to administer. Staff is great as well, our dogs barked theirs heads off at the poor vet tech that came in because they don’t love men but after I took a second to calm them down, they did great with him too. Office staff got the appointment set right away and do a great job getting you checked in and out efficiently. We’ll be back with the stinky dogs. And I’ll be giving you a call about the gaggle of cats we will need to switch as well.

Dr. Meals and team were absolutely wonderful while caring for my old pupper, Aussie, who was suddenly struck with vestibular syndrome. They did well in keeping him calm, as well as me (very nervous dog mama). Plus, ongoing communication was fantastic throughout. Truly an animal hospital that loves our companions like their own.

This is the last time I am letting them take my money. They billed me $200 for 1 stitch! ONE! They are over priced and it shows. I am never going back to them. It is sad how they think its ok to have these ridiculously high prices.

My pup (and best friend) started hacking/coughing very badly and frequently during the night. Concerned, I began my midnight quest to find a reputable Vet (something I should've done long ago). After reading countless heartbreaking reviews for 24hr Emergency Vets in the area - I grew very, very weary about dropping my little peanut off in the middle of the night to a place that Kevorkian himself would cringe at. I finally found relief when I stumbled across Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital. They were the only local facility with a good reputation that was open on a Sunday. I called first thing in the morning when my dog started hacking severly again. Many concerns were going through my mind.. Is my pup at immediate risk? Was I going to be able to get an appointment? Will the staff be overwhelmed or insensitive? What will happen if I drop my dog off? Will I be buried in bills? Almost immedietly my call was answered. The receptionist was very kind and could hear my stress and the dog hacking away in the background. She confirmed with me whether or not the dog was able to breathe and not in serious discomfort to determine if the situation was an emergency or if an appointment would be appropriate. She was able to get me in just a couple hours later and was very informative. She ended up answering all the questions i had without me having to ask and was up front with cost of the visit plus possible cost of meds if needed. After arriving and calling to check in, I was able to walk right in, where I was directed right past the waiting room and straight to an exam room [during COVID]. Dr. Meals was compassionate and informative. She took the time to answer all questions and address any concerns I had and she didn't try to push any unnecessary services. She was clear on her diagnosis and treatment explaining how/why. We were done in an hour and I walked out feeling reassured that my dog will make a full recovery. Cost of service and medication was affordable. Thank you Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital Staff. Glad to know my best friend will be in good hands anytime shes in need of a check-up!

Please read before considering this vet. My parents have been taking their dogs here for quite a while--They have taken all of our last three dogs here. Recently, my dad took his dog there to address a limp that my dog had. Knowing his dog, he knew something was wrong. The doctor claimed that nothing was wrong (they didn't even x-ray her). At the end of the visit, he paid almost 200 dollars just for some pain killers. A couple weeks later, nothing changed, he went back- they finally decided to X-ray her and NUMEROUS test, and when it was all said and done, they said it was a partial tear. In the end, he paid 300 dollars for more medicine and the guidance to have her "rest." My dad followed that order strictly. Then, my parents dog stopped using the leg (About 2 weeks later). My dad called again and after this visit they said ends up having MAJOR knee surgery and it was not just a partial tear at all. My dad was mad, naturally, because they waited so long to suggest surgery. So long, that now on top of the hundreds of dollars already spent, they only now suggest surgery...which could have been the solution since the first/second visit. My dad asked to talk to the owner. The owner, on the phone, revealed that the doctor (who told my dad she would do surgery) is not, at all, qualified to do the surgery--which infuriated him even more. Why would a doctor suggest performing a surgery she did not have the qualifications to do? The owner had no idea why the doctor would even suggest doing it. This place seems like a big mess with lack of communication and money centered thinking. Other review sources for this vet repeat the same messages. It worries me that the owner does not oversee what the doctors are doing. Although loyal patients for 8+ years, my parents THANKFULLY will never ever go there again.

I called to set up an appointment for my new puppy and the woman who answered the phone took my information and told me a practice manager has to call me back to set up an appointment!? Why are you answering the phone if you don't know how to make an appointment for a new client?! And to make matters worse NO ONE called me back to set up an appointment!!! I called on a Saturday and it's now Tuesday, and I never heard anything back from them!!! Don't waste your time waiting for them to call you back because clearly they don't!!!

Dr. Jeremy Bushias Falsified our dogs health exam records. Dr. Bushias reported that our dog had an umbilical hernia which had been repaired. After we took our dog to a second veterinarian, this exam showed that no umbilical hernia repair had been done. Glen Ellyn animal hospital claims to have examined our dog twice but the second examination report was a photocopy of the first and all they did was change the date. These dirtbags are in cahoots with Petland Bolingbrook.

Please fix your phone answering menu. I never called a hospital and had the call expire! There should be a way to opt out and reach a receptionist right away.

I am currently looking for a completely different vet. Dr Manna has consistently been uncompassionate in her bedside manner, very tardy in follow-up to procedures and x-rays, and not filling prescriptions as she's said she would. Every encounter I have had with her, has unfortunately left a very bad impression with me, and I am finally looking for a new vet altogether.

Told me fecal exam was includes go back with sample want money. Tell me vaccine is $34 which is a 2 part vaccine...wrote down vaccine was $34 went back for booster wanted another 34. All they want has money never examined my dog spent more time feeding her treats amd brushing off my questions then looking at my dog. Going elsewhere where they actually care.

Best animal hospital out there. My family has been bringing pets for several generations. Even my grandparents used to bring there dogs here. Top notch, expert care. They also have the best groomers you can find. No matter how far I live, I'll always bring my pets here.

Our pups don't see a Vet at every visit. Our old Vet that we use to go with our dog before he died saw our dog at every visit. He even got know him. I believe the charges are high as well.

They take good care of my pup, and me when I'm worried about him. I always see Dr. Manna as I appreciate her style, however I have seen other doctors on short notice.

Staff are very friendly and professional. They always show concern for the animals they tend to. We experienced first hand their compassion recently when we had to put our dog to sleep due to a serious illness. They didn't rush us to make a decision on what to do and they let us take all the time we needed after putting Lily to sleep. Afterwards we received a card from the staff expressing their sympathy. It was very surprising and heartwarming to receive the card. When the time comes to get another dog we will definitely be returning to Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital.
