Autumn Green Animal Hospital Geneva, Illinois

We went here once and everything was great. I wasn't impressed with the not wearing masks, but I let it slide. The vet was good. Fast forward to now. My lab now has diabetes, something that is a time sensitive matter and causes blindness and nerve damage if not corrected. We initially took him in because something was wrong, excessive water dinking, not eating, lethargic. The normal vet we see was sick so we got someone else. She didn't even draw blood samples. She said it was probably bad dog food and sent us on our way. Weeks later (once again it's time sensitive, causing blindness & nerve damage) he's doing terrible, can barely walk. She draws blood. His glucose is high 500s. Dehydrated. All signs to diabetes and she said it "might be" but just feed him chicken & get back to me if he is still bad. What?! I made the decision to give him insulin MYSELF because my FIL had the exact same thing with his dog. After adjusting the insulin (twice a day) we had gotten it down to low 200s & he was doing better, happy, walking good. My husband decided to take him back to let her know so we could get another official blood sample & so she's updated. She changes the insulin, had us give him 8 and said I'll see you in a week. His glucose shot up. We upped it ourselves to 10 and then 12 and even at 12 he was at 485. He can now barely walk and his eyes are cloudy. This vet completely sent us backwards after not even helping the problem in the first place for weeks. I'm livid. Dropping the ball on this probably caused permanent nerve damage in my dog. No amount of rubbing lavender essential oils on his stomach is going to fix that.

They are very knowledgeable and take their time explaining everything they find and why it happens and the best solution. Friendly, caring, knowledgeable.

I actually look forward to our appointments with Dr Grant. She always takes the time to thoroughly explain her findings, make recommendations, explain costs and quiet our anxiety. I feel that she creates a true team spirit dedicated to the wellness of my sweet Charly. Could we clone her so appointments are easier to get?????

I absolutely love coming to autumn green, the entire team loves animals and it shows. They are sweet everytime I’ve been there and are very transparent with policies and clinic updates. I believe I have the best care for my pets with them. Also the team that takes care of boarding makes my dogs so happy and that has been a great experience too!

We love this place!!! There are so many reasons why. Dr grant is an amazing vet and does a great job taking care of our pets. I really appreciate the holistic side of her practice too. She is very knowledgeable and knows how to help! I will say, if you have a very sick pet and need to put them down, Dr grant has a well thought out process for this. She has a quiet room in the back and you can be with your pet the entire time. You pay and take care of everything in the room, then you can leave out of the back door and don’t have to walk through the lobby crying because you just put your furbaby to sleep. We are so thankful for such a peaceful experience. Thank you!

I really like this Animal Hospital, no complaints at all. Holistic and to the point. Last visit with Dr Komina was last minute with my 16 y/o dog. She had a very busy day but spent quality time with us and provided quality care.

First visit for Mica with Dr Grant, we plan to return in July. I am impressed with the quality of care that was given to Mica and how her care was with me in the room with her. He current vet takes Mica out of the room for treatment such as taking her temperature or giving her any meds.

Autumn Green was amazing with my nervous pup that was raised during social distancing and not used to very many people! They were so nice and helpful with a very worried dog mommy checking in everyday.

We love Dr. Grant and all the staff at Autumn Green. Our Great Dane baby is always well taken care of, and they are not quick to just give her antibiotics to treat symptoms but rather search for the root cause to treat her holistically. She also recently had her spay and Gastropexy surgery done, and they did a wonderful job. It was also less $$ than we anticipated. So yes, we love Autumn Green!

I love Dr Grant. She is so thorough in her exams but even more importantly, she listens to the concerns of the pet owner. Wonderfull experience and excellent pet care!
