Honestly from first thoughts parking was horrible.We went in and it was a nice little place. Brought my little kitten in for spay and declaw (front only) and when we called back to go pick her up they answered and said she’s dead.They didn’t break the news in a caring or professional way and most devestating thing to hear at least it could be told better. Regardless she made it through surgery but when they got her “stabilized” and went to go get stuff to clean her ears they came back and she was dead.That’s what we were told. As a family of Medical field she was never stabilized and wouldn’t have been unresponsive for so long.Most if the story doesn’t add up and honestly poor quality wish I payed for a nicer place but mostly all the reviews are good so we decided to check it out.I took my other kittens here and they were fine it was a different day she went in a week after and she was the only one who didn’t make it out of their alive. Honestly miserable and heartbreaking she had to go through that.Go somewhere nicer because bringing thr little blue bag home with her ashes should’ve been the little girl I was gonna take care of after surgery. Lost my bestfriend so be aware about where you decide to go here.

BEWARE, DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. I’ve brought my puppy the first day we got him, and so on. He had worms as a puppy and we got him dewormed here, among $1400 in bills thus far. Fast forward 6 months later, we brought him here for a 2nd time in a month for potential worms . We were told that he was cleared both times and got hit with two bills, one of which the Dr never even touched my dog. When calling to ask why he has worms after they told me he did not, the response from Dr. Carney was, “this is not our fault, you need to call the lab we use and complain yourself”. And yes, as you guessed it, they did not want to resolve this issue one bit. We were told to bring him back in with the stool sample to have it sent out for a THIRD time. And yes, they still expected us to pay for their mistakes. Also quoted my mother’s dog $900 for dental work that another vet said didn’t even need done. Went to a third vet for their dog and again were told it was completely unnecessary. This place has gone down the drain over the past 5 years, it’s almost like Dr Carney cares more about the income than the animals. Please BEWARE.

Thorough but also cost conscious. They really too their time explaining each vaccine and test to me. I just moved from Pennsylvania and it turns out my dog had a tick borne infection that they don't test for there! They were very kind to ke even though my dog COMPLETELY freaked out during the exam and almost bit one of the techs. (It's happened before just not recently so it definitely wasn't their fault.) I'm so glad I found this place; it's definitely going to be our regular vet for the foreseeable future.

About one month ago I took my dog angel to see the vet and let me tell you the people and the vet were very nice and also the vet she took care my angel I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. The prices are very affordable

Good place, took care of our, cat ???? Jellybean's last teeth cleaning. Also kind, and respectful when putting fur family to rest.

I really appreciate Dr. Carney. She is easy to talk to and her staff have always been prompt and helpful. She can do x-rays in house which is nice but for other imaging you have to go else where, which I've had to do, but I still come back to her because it's so nice to have a skilled practitioner close to home.

I rescued a kitten and they gave me all the info and help to be a new cat owner. Put us on a easy schedule for my cats health, wellbeing, and eased the stress of being a new papa.

Excellent vet, I had animals my whole life and I've been to a lot of vets and this place was really good, clean, and good price, especially to all the other ones in the area highly recommended and that's the only vet I will go too now!

Small office, personal service. Dr. Carney is a competent, knowledgeable vet. She works with the client to create the best treatment plan for the pet. She's careful and informative. Her staff is friendly and professional...and they're good at scheduling. Wait time is minimal, which is important if you have a nervous cat or a high strung dog, as we do. Excellent small animal general practice.

I would give zero stars if I could. Believe the reviews when considering vets on the Southside of Chicago. From the beginning, I did not want to take my precious baby to this vet based on reviews, however, in a moment of desperation when our normal vet was closed for a Holiday we brought our sweet boy to this vet and it could have ended much worse. Our poor guy was sick the day after Thanksgiving, throwing up and not eating a thing. The vet automatically assumed he got into food from Thanksgiving and recommended a test for pancreatitis and to hold off on x-rays until the blood work came back the next day. We called on Saturday and asked about blood work, she said she would call us right back and never did. The office then closed where we could no longer get ahold of the vets office. Our dog then proceeded to worsen over the next day so we took him to an emergency pet clinic Sunday morning where they found an obstruction in his intestine, something that would have been discovered on the x-ray we were waiting for. So we are not only paying the astronomical price from Hilltop for the minimal help, but also for an emergency Sunday surgery for our boy. We are happy and thankful this did not turn out worse, but our dog would not have been completely miserable for an additional 2 days if we would have had adequate care the first time around. On top of everything the prices for fluids and cererenia seemed to be much higher at Hilltop than our normal vet office. I normally hate posting negative reviews, but when it comes to these things making the right choice of vet for your pet can be the matter of life or death.

This office is very clean, nice and friendly.

Had to put my beloved best friend down after 15 years of friendship... The hardest decision I've ever had to make. They handled us with compassion and explained everything in detail in order to comfort me. When it was done they let me spend as much time as I needed with her before leaving. They never rushed me out even when it was closing time. They sent a card of condolences to my home which touched me dearly. I read somewhere that the best way to say thank you was to leave a good review. I hope this says thank you enough :)

I have been taking my St. Bernard here for years..the staff and doctor are very friendly and are so nice to the animals. It's also very clean. I would recommend anyone to take their pets here..
