First time I took my little Nate to Adams Hospital for a grooming and vaccine. Great place and very friendly staff and Vet. Very pleased with Adams Hospital.

Adams Pet Hospital is a great place to take your pet for care. Starting at the top with Dr. Adams, Dr. Connie, all the doctors and their wonderful staff. Everyone there cares about your pet and shows it with every interaction. When we boarded our small dogs they put them away from the big dogs so they wouldn’t be scared. When we lost dogs they cried with us. When we need an appointment for a sick dog they get us in right away. When we ask to pick them up earlier then planned they make it happen. Great service and the love of animals comes through in all they do, it’s what makes Adams a great place to choose for your best friends’ care. LIsa W

I'm not one for writing Google reviews, but my experience with Adam's Pet Hospital has been so terrible that I wanted to save others from the emotional pain that they have caused. It started when my dog was hit by a truck last summer. We had been using Adams for 7 years so they were, of course, the first place we called/went to. It was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend so they were closed, understandably. First, it was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone but when we finally got a hold of the on call vet, she literally told my husband that she was 30 minutes away and he probably wouldn't survive anyways, so we should just keep him comfortable until he died. That was absolutely not an option for us, so we called another vet in town and she literally saved his life with an emergency surgery. After this, I was in shock that a vet would say that, but didn't want to let my emotions get the best of me, so I refrained from ever making a complaint or writing a review. However, my parents (who have always used Adams) had a dog that was acting strange, not eating, not drinking, not going outside, etc earlier this year. They called Adam's and they were able to get him in that Monday, I will give them that, but immediately referred us to a specialist in Cedar Rapids due to his labs and his extreme anemia. Sparing the details, we had to put him to sleep later that day. Now, I'm not a veterinarian, but I've talked to many since then, and none can believe that condition (which could have been treated) wasn't diagnosed sooner. So, now you have 1 dog that they were going to let die and another that did. I still refrained from writing any sort of review, because I didn't want to talk badly about anyone or anything, but here comes my third case, that has led me to writing this today. My brother's dog (who has been living with my parent's) was acting strange after my parent's dog was put to sleep. He was taken in and Adams put him on antidepressants. That didn't help, so he was taken back in and they completed additional labs and xrays. They proceeded to tell us that nothing seemed wrong and that he was just depressed from the death of the other dog in the house. My mom and I agreed that we, unfortunately, couldn't trust Adams track record at this point and wanted a 2nd opinion, so she took him to another vet that actually came up with a diagnosis and a treatment and sure enough, he is doing much better. I would like to include that they also had to redo the xrays because Adam's images were so bad that they couldn't even read them; they couldn't believe it. Again, I tried to refrain from writing this, but someone needs to be aware of my entire family's experience with Adam's so that they can save themselves the heartbreak (and money).

I have used them for 14 years. We lost one of our Labs last Friday. He was 15 and a half, and if course it was not unexpected, but they still treated the situation like anyone would hope they would, with respect, and understanding. They handled the cremation and were reasonably priced for an individual cremation with returned ashes. They even included a very nice box for their display. When I spoke with them today about picking up the remains, they were kind enough to do how my other dog was doing, they had been together for 15 years. They are a great vet, who truly care about their patients and owners.

They provided caring, compassionate, highly-competent care and answers for my dog, who was in pain, for which I had been unable to identify it's source.

So far a great experience. I just was a little concerned about my yang when she got injured I called and no one returned my call but they were nice and professional and seemed to care.

Best vet clinic in town, hands down!

We have a very anxious cat and an even more stubborn corgi, and everyone there has always been amazing with them. The vets and staff are so nice and they really care about your pets. It’s also very reasonably priced and they have good availability when it comes to scheduling appointments. I definitely recommend them.

Took my cat who was in serious need of grooming. Had a terrible time trying to find some one who would groom him. Finally Adams Pet Hospital took him groomed him, updated shots and the whole routine. Super pleased with everything they did for him! He looks really great! And I can see he feels better! Thank you for the professional time you afforded him! Patsy

We moved here in 1995 and started going to Adams pet Hospital shortly after that we have always had good experiences, we board our pets there and they take very good care of them. We recently had a medical emergency with our current dog and they were very professional very helpful and took very good care of us and our dog I would highly recommend taking any Pet to them.

HELLO Jeff and I take our Little Shadow to Adams Pet Hospital. We had adopted our fur baby when he was around 6 month old from a guy who could not ha dle him because he was a very busy puppy. When we started to find out the health history of him we were able to find the people that had his records and where he was at that all his record were there and that Shadow was behind on his update and other shots. Shadow will be 9 in Sept. this year and been seeing the Vets at Adams Pet Hos. hes very happy when we take him in for anything as check ups or even when he not feeling good the staff there are so special with him and very friendly too. when we leave there all are question are answer for us.

I was able to have my dog boarded over a holiday weekend here when another vet was full for the weekend. I appreciated that the office and facility were very clean and well maintained. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and took good care of my large breed 1 year old puppy. I wish they would include a complimentary bath like some other boarding facilities offer, however I was still very pleased with my first experience at Adams Pet Hospital.
