It's not open vet space: meaning when they take the pet to the examine room; and you can't go with, which I am not a fan of. If you feel like you must be with your pet during examinations and shots. Go to where banfield is stand alone.

This is the vet services in Pet Smart. They did a great job on a walk in nail trimming for our 5 month old Rotti. Not impressed with Pet Smart at all. Looking very run down & old. Used to be that Pet Co was the disheveled looking store... now sadly, Pet Smart takes that honor.

Sam, Dr Miller and Renee were Absolutely Amazing. Fact is that there are all but a handful of veterinarian assistants and veterinarians who you can trust to take care of our fur babies whom can’t speak for themselves. Sam, Dr Miller with his executive assistant Renee went Above and Beyond protocol for Je Taime. They took the time to explain to me through personal consultation exactly what Je Taimes medical issues were with the ADDED BONUS of professional suggestions for her comfort during this stressful time for her. Take it from someone whom traveled from Chicago to Downers Grove that I couldn’t be more satisfied and joyful to say Je Taime now has FOREVER EXTENDED FAMILY. Yes, I AM SO HAPPY TO FINALLY HAVE THE GREATEST Veterinarian who is completely outfitted with the Greatest Team being Sam: Executive Communications Consultant, and Renee: Executive Veterinarian Assistant! Thank you so much Dr Miller for Being the Greatest Veterinarian I have ever met and your Blessing of being Je Taimes FOREVER Veterinarian. Thank you so much Miss Sam for your Amazing Heart felt Welcome to clinic during stressful emergency with Je Taime coupled with calming presence made all the difference. And finally Thank you so much Miss Renee your Expertise with felines being a feline momma yourself coupled with your Superior Professional Training designates you as Je Taimes forever Professional momma. With the added bonus of forever gifts accompanying Je Taime for her mishap love bite. Know that I will forever be grateful to all three of you and look forward to our forever fur-baby family get togethers.

My dog recently passed away at 18 yrs old and it was such a sweet surprise to receive a sympathy card from Banfield with several personal messages from the staff. So many wonderful messages of how much he was loved and how much he will be missed. The staff always took extra special care of him as he was also blind. I was truly moved by this gesture and can not thank them enough. Your staff is amazing and you can tell they all care so very much for the animals they care for. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

My dog came out of the exam room and LOVED her doctor. She wanted more and more pets from her and the front desk was so kind.

Dr. Appleyard and her staff where amazing and accommodated my dog when he wasn't feeling well, even when we didn't have an appointment. I am forever grateful.

I take all 4 of my dogs here for their routine shots/check-up's etc. and Dr. Dorjath is amazing. She is thorough, kind, and over all a straight shooter when it comes to what my pets need or dont need. I feel comfortable and confident in leaving my fur babies with her and her team, especially since everything is now drop off due to covid!

for the most part am satisfied. i do recommend banfield think about improving their scheduling system. they should schedule appointments for the pets, not a drop off system where it’s up in the air when your pet will be seen. i made an “appointment” for 915, and 3 hours later at 1215, i call to follow up and my cat hasn’t even been seen yet.. i know this is due to an emergent surgery the doctor needed to do earlier in the AM, but if that’s the case, one should be updated on the matter/situation. it’s nice to be kept in the loop about one’s pet, especially when you were told the wait time would be around 2-3 hours.

Customer service was great. I was told I couldnt get any service due to the fact that my neapolitan mastiff snipped at the doctor and I was gonna need to purchase a mussel to bring her back. I was told they only have small ones for little dogs. I would think most vets would carry small thru xxl. I'll find another place to go

We have been a loyal customer and Wellness Plan Member for over 14 years and called today to cancel my membership due to having to put our dog down. A horrible customer experience when I initiated a chat on the web and called a representative. I have to pay out of pocket for services I have not used in months nor will ever be able to use. I would not recommend Banfield Pet Hospital to family or friends.

Extremely terrible customer service. I was charged by mistake and the manager told me the plans are not able to be cancelled even though HER associate made the error. Also the vets have no knowledge on nutrition and only recommend Science Diet (because they get paid to) even though it’s an awful food for cats and dogs.

NEVER COME HERE!! I took my senior dog due to throwing up resulting in undernourishment. The doctor suggested to due blood work and a pancreas test to check for illnesses. The doctor was talking fast and she made it seem as though my dog was ok other than having pancreatitis (that was not life threatening) and she gave us an Rx for special food that would settle her stomach and keep it down. We bought the food and NO it did not work, she continued to throw up. At this point my dogs health was declining quick. When I called they were and are temporarily closed. I then took her to a different vet and they also ran blood and urine test. Doctor comes in and says my dog has advanced diabetes!! Even with aggressive treatment there wouldn't be hope. To add to our pain they didn't honor my free first visit coupon!!!

I have been a loyal customer of Banfield for 10 years both at the location in Downers Grove and in a different state when I lived there. I pay the monthly fee for the plan. The care is adequate but I typically have to wait significantly past my scheduled time. I have always been understanding, I know things come up. My dog recently had an emergent situation where he got a hook stuck in paw. Freak accident which left him unable to walk until it was removed. I tried to remove it but it was wedged in too deep. I called Banfield in Downers Grove around 3pm and asked that they please see him that day. They were unwilling to make any accommodations for my pet. I ended up having to take him somewhere else and pay the office fee that would have otherwise been covered by my monthly plan at Banfield. It was a shame that they were unwilling to help my pet after so many loyal years with this company.

My pet was well cared for. Staff was great. They even called to see how she was doing after her visits, which were well visits. Very caring.

The staff there today was so unbelievably nice. I truly appreciate how kind and supportive they were. They pampered my dog and me for that matter way more than required. I knew losing my dog would be hard but they made us both as comfortable as they could during the whole visit. Thank you.

Won’t go back ! I have chosen to take my cat to a non-retail setting veterinary office. My wellness package expires in December ( monthly charge I cannot wait to end ) When I needed to get her in, the person on the other end of the line was extremely blasé and didn’t even know where the other Banfield clinics were ( no openings in DG for 2 weeks )

My vet was out of town and I needed an immediate appt for my dog. I spoke with Megan who was every nice on the phone and helped me get an appt the same day. Karen, the vet tech was super friendly and helped calm my anxious dog. Dr. Sanders was gentle and extremely thorough with her exam. She was very informative offered some great tips. You can tell she truly enjoys being a Veterinarian. Kelly at the check out counter smiled and asked if there was anything else I needed before I left. Today I received a call to see how things were going. Super impressed with everyone I can in contact with. I will be transferring my dog’s care over to the Banfield Team located in the Petsmart!
