My little dog was so happy and looked great when she left her appointment with Jennifer at Happy Dog Grooming Spa! Jennifer was so nice, loving and caring with my elderly dog too! So happy we found Happy Dog!

Zoey has been going to Jennifer for about a year now , and she never disappoints! Jennifer is very accommodating, and flexible! Overall great customer service. Zoey is a bit on the sassy side, but Jennifer handles her so well.

My dog has been going there since he was a puppy. The quality is great, Jennifer really cares about our dog and has been so reliable and personable, I can’t say enough good things about her and her work.

An honest scheduling miscommunication is all it took to get my dog banned from this groomer and refused service after multiple positive visits prior. Nothing to do with the temperament or behavior of the 10 lb toy dog towards the groomer, just an honest mix up on an appointment. No, I did not "sleep in" as was stated/assumed once my dog's "pulled" file was retrieved and reviewed, just a working professional who can't drop what they're doing for an unexpected appointment at a moment's notice. I made it clear that the reason for the no show was due to scheduling mix-up. Please be sure to not miss your appointment for any reason or risk being banned. No understanding or flexibility in my case just some passive aggressive attitude and my number being blocked. Quite a shame that I will have to search for a new groomer as every visit I had previously was great and the doggo was always happy. QUALITY SERVICE but again, be mindful if you can't make your appointment for any reason you may suffer the same fate as my GUNNER. As much as I love to support local business, I will take my hard earned money and spend it where it is better received.

We're new to Illinois. After a bad experiencing with a groomer, I decided to drive 20 minutes each way to have Jennifer groom my Oliver. She is so patience, kind and caring! She and I talked while Oliver was getting familiar with the place and her. She went above & beyond to meet our expectations. We're very pleased with her great services and wonderful personality. We're definitely driving back for another beautiful hair cut. *Please note that any imperfection in the pictures below are still from the previous groomer.

Our 1st time here back in March 2020 and we loved it! We had to come back. Jennifer is so kind and caring! She doesn't use cages and treats your dog as if it is her dog! I also loved how she doesn't have any other dogs during your dog's appt. This was our 1 st time going to Happy Dog and I’m sure we are all nervous fur parents when we drop our babies to a new groomer. Let me tell you... Jennifer took the time to let me know her history and how she has lots of experience especially in grooming little dogs and Yorkies like my babygirl Mala. She made our 1st time experience very relaxing and took the time to hear what type of cut I’d like for my Mala and her special needs. Mala jumped right into Jennifer’s arms when it was time to get groomed. That made me feel so happy and rest assured that Mala knew she was a Dog lover and was safe in her arms♥️. I like how Jennifer didn’t rush on grooming my Mala but instead took her time to give her the cuties grooming ever! When I picked up my babygirl looking like a little Ewok ( LoL) yes she wax overdue on her grooming to looking like a little cute adorable dainty Yorkie ????????????. I can definitely say Jennifer treats each of our fur babies like they are her own. With lots of love and patience. Thank you Jennifer for making our Mala look like a little Princess. When I was living in the city, I had an ok groomer. I then moved to Des Plaines and needed to find a local groomer. I looked up groomers in my area, and found Happy Dog Grooming Spa. I took my chances and I found the perfect groomer for Nate! Jennifer is honestly a great groomer! She treats my dog and me like we are family. 4+ years later.... If your looking for a local groomer, please give her call!

Only groomer I fully trust with my dog. She is so caring and gentle and really cares about your dog as if it was her own baby. Been going for years and never have been disappointed. A+++++

We just took our dog here for the first time, and we were very pleased! Our dog is a rescue, and this was the first time we brought him to a groomer, so we really had no way of knowing how he would react. Jennifer was incredibly patient and kind, not only with our dog, but also with us. She talked us through what she was going to look for during her time with our dog, and then she provided us tips on how to care for him in between visits. While our dog was with her, she called us to provide an update, which was really nice. We felt comfortable leaving her with our dog, and we love that the entire appointment was just the two of them, no other dogs,. Jennifer was so flexible and accommodating depending on how our dog responded to her. And now our pup is all cleaned up and looks great! We look forward to returning! A great place to bring your dog in Des Plaines - highly recommend!

I can't express how extremely happy I am that I found this place! Jennifer is so sweet, she makes you and the dog feel so comfortable & she knows what she's doing! I've been to so many different grooming places and was never happy with the results, but let me tell you I just picked up my little Maltese and he looks amazing! She took her time and really did an excellent job! I HIGHLY recommend coming here for your dogs grooming, you won't be disappointed!

Jennifer is just fabulous. She only has 1 dog in the shop at a time so its less stressful for the dogs. She is so good with my Benji.I highly recommend her. Your fur baby will get the best care here.

Jennifer is very professional and very sweet. You can tell she really loves her work and the dogs she works with. My dog usually isn't a fan of the groomer, but he was very relaxed and happy when we came to get him. Her prices are also VERY reasonable. I would recommend her to anyone.

The owner of this place is awesome! She is super nice but more importantly an amazing dog groomer!!! My puppy seemed like he really enjoyed his groom and gave her a kiss goodbye! Twix looks great now and smells wonderful! Most recommended and will be back there for sure!!!

Today was my dog Boone’s first visit at this groomer and it couldn’t have gone more perfectly. They are very kind and patient. He is a bit timid and scared of strangers but they made him feel very comfortable. This place provides the best environment for my dog and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you for taking the time to make Boone feel comfortable.

My dog was very anxious and nervous at first however, I can tell by his behavior when I picked him up that he was treated with care, love, and passion. Just moved and found Jennifer on Google Maps, and I’m so glad I did! She really takes the time to find out exactly how you’d like your dog’s coat groomed. She is so friendly, nice and sweet with my dog. She immediately let him roam around and reassured me of his safety. We will definitely be coming back!
