Skillful, compassionate care. My dog developed a growth on his eyelid. My vet wasn't sure what it was, and referred me to Dr. Wasserman. He diagnosed it as a Meibomian gland adenoma (a benign tumor) which should be dealt with promptly, and recommended a laser ablation. The operation was done the same morning, at a fair price, and was fully successful. My dog's eye looks great, no need for a cone or antibiotics or any restrictions, and he is doing fine. Dr. Wasserman and his staff took excellent care of my dog throughout the process. I highly recommend the Wheeling office of Eye Care for Animals.

We had a horrible emergency 4th of July weekend. My beautiful girl Maya ran into our glass birdbath chasing a squirrel at full speed and she messed up her eye really badly. After taking her to our vet, they sent us here to check the eye out further. She was in so much pain, her eye was full of blood. It was the worst day of my life. They told us that really the only option to make sure she had no problems doen the road was to remove the eye. It was shocking and scary. They explained the procedure to us very well and assured us we were doing the right thing for our girl. They did the surgery that night. I'd like to say they did an amazing job. Maya healed so quickly and had no blood leakage whatsoever. She was already back to normal the next day. I really want to thank you guys for making a terrifying experience a lot better than it could have been. You guys are literal angels.

Ever since covid hit and I couldn’t go into the hospital with my dog, my dog has gotten worse. It makes me think that I’m wondering if they did anything to him to make me have to pay more $. Not sure. Go somewhere else until you can go in and watch what they do to your pet.

Worst experience ever! Did an eye surgery for our two year old bulldog which cost as almost $5000 and it didn’t help her at all. Dr. Wasserman gave us a 100% guarantee that her eyes would be perfect. Had to hear that he’s surprised it didn’t help, that is it! Had to go back couple times for antibiotics which cost extra $$ but her eyes got only worse. Will not recommend this clinic.

My poor 11 year old dog need to have his eye removed. The staff took very good care of him.

It was our first time for our Dog who has some kind of cyst right over the eye. The doctor consulted with our normal vet, explained options to me in detail. The treatment seems to be working, not fully recovered since only been a day. The place is expensive .. hoping the insurance covers part of the bills.

My 10 mo old min pin was diagnosed with old eye syndrome as a puppy. She is now 14 yrs old and still able to see thanks to them,. Excellent care, great staff.

The veterinarian was able to diagnose a lack of something that all of our past vets had diagnosed our baby with . We have a more accurate direction of care and they worked in total conjuction with our new primary vet. Baby boy is no longer in pain and happier and more playful than he's been in a long time . I had my two of my dog’s eyes evaluated for OFA at this location. The staff was friendly, the time was short, and the exam was quick. The paperwork was filled out correctly and everything was explained to me thoroughly. I had a great 1st experience.
