Excellent service and care for my kitty. They took great care of him and provided top notch aftercare for his eye infection.

The vets there dr. McDaniels care about their patients and family when you are upset of maybe losing a special family member.

I started with this clinic less than a year ago as we moved to Decatur in November 2020. I was told that my dog needed dental care. They ran bloodwork and told me his liver enzymes were high and prescribed medication and also told me to put him on Hill's Kidney diet, but they never told me his kidneys were starting to fail. I brought him in in September for his eyes as well as weight loss and lack of appetite. No tests were done, I was told by the vet that he was old. Then he got worse. I called 2 times to try to get him in explained the problem and was told Dr. Julie would get back to me which didn't happen. I finally had to call another vet to see him. I had the records sent from Northgate to them. They did urine test, as well as bloodwork. They asked if I was told by Northgate that he was in Kidney failure. I wasn't. . If they would have it could of been reversed, but now it was to late. I had to put him to sleep aweek ago, and it probably could have been avoided.

Many times Northgate has lost our animals and said we have picked them up. They have also gave our animals the same meds and syringe which just cross contaminates them so they never get better, they have also given one of our mice medicine that specifically says on the bottle for dogs and cats ONLY and he died. Overall Northgate shows a lack of responsibility and care for the animals that are sent to their care.

Northgate is the best Veterinary clinic in central IL. The staff is courteous & professional. The animal doctors are knowledgeable & trustworthy. You are treated like family.

Northgate stole the blanket off our Pomeranians body after we left her with them to be cremated. They washed it and was going to use it for other animals. Thankfully, we caught them before it was too late. We picked her body AND blanket back up and took her to Graceland instead. I would NOT recommend Northgate for pet cremation. Take your pets remains somewhere else

I was able to get dog tags engraved within minutes. I tried to buy them on-line and it would have been more expensive and 3 weeks to receive. My nephew shops here and loves there wide variety of pet items. He recommended I buy the dog tags here. It is also very important to me to shop locally and keep the brick and mortar stores open. The staff was making their own special dog treats, so it smelt so delicious in there. If I enjoyed the aroma just amagine how well your dog will enjoy the treats they hand make. Shop there and you will never want to go back to the big box stores.

We have consistently positive visits with our 2 cats and 1 dog. They truly love animals and show it! One of my cats loves his visits, and so does my dog! My other cat is more timid when it comes to vet visits, but that is every vet she goes to. I highly recommend Northgate!

The staff is always so welcoming and loving towards me and my dog. I can tell the vet really cares and treats my dog very well.

They got my Cecil in quickly after he had eaten mouse poison. I expected the bill to be ridiculous but was pleasantly surprised.

Super helpful and friendly staff that got my pup in quickly due to an allergic reaction. Highly recommend!!

Very good pet clinic. Treat my dogs much better than some doctors treat humans. You can tell they love their work. Get in and out pretty quick on our appts. Highly recommend

Incredibly friendly, caring staff. Dr. Voelker is wonderful and took the time to talk to us about all our concerns during our annual visit. You really get the sense that they care very much for your pets and want to take good care of them.

I have a elderly dog and freak out alot due to him getting older. Only place Justus will go in and talk to the girls and guys up front and let pet him. ( If he see's them. lol) We appreciate all of there employees and always get the help we need. We so recommend them. Thank you.

The first time coming here my dog had to have emergency surgery. They were on it! They didn't ask questions they got her in and took great care of her. Then she hurt her leg and they got her in that day and were amazing with her. My family appreciates everyone there for their kindness and professionalism. Their prices are reasonable but most of all they are amazing with the animals and their parents! We love them and will never go anywhere else!

Dr.Rojas is a wonderful vet! She is kind and compassionate and provides great care for our dogs. Bailey is very helpful and professional, too.

Wonderful clinic! The staff are lovely, every one we’ve dealt with. Despite their serious overload from all the covid dogs and being short staffed, they’ve done their best for our dogs. I also love that they’re involved in clinical research. As a biologist myself, this is huge. It means they’re staying on top of current vet med research, which isn’t the case with all vets. It’s also nice when your vet knows your cardigan Welsh corgi isn’t a Pembroke and your Pembroke Welsh corgi isn’t just “a corgi”. Different breeds, different potential health problems. Knowing is important!
