Super easy to drop of a stray! Showed ID and told them where I found her. It's a shame I had to. I knew she was in good hands

Adopted a 5 month old cat 5 days ago. The records they provided show two separate vaccines for worms, however discovered worms today! Was the cat ever even vaccinated?!! Called to ask them today and their response was sorry, you need to take to vet and have the cat looked at!! Ok, what about having their own vet staff look at the cat again and possibly administer another shot or medicine needed, since only been 5 days?!!! They all anxious to adopt a pet to you but follow up customer service is lacking, ecspecially after only 5 days! Would not recommend their adoption…. Update: AND just found out they had an “outbreak” of ringworm in cats a week ago, just before we adopted and nobody said anything…now our problem to pay for vet and medicine…furious….bad business all around!!!!!!!

I liked a cat there and still plan to adopt him, however an outbreak of Ringworm has changed my opinion of this place a bit. I was furious, however, the place is still probably the best place to adopt in QC.

The people working here need to be paid like health workers.

I understand they took animals from the hurricane, but this place was filthy. The smell was awful. I really hope the animals find homes soon

I'm a truck driver that got covid. Had to go to the hospital for 9 days. They took the best of care for my partner . I owe them a lot. And will take care of them as soon as I possibly can! THANK YOU SO MUCH. RICO AND DAVE

After moving to the QC area during COVID in 2020, life felt very lonely being in a new city. My husband and I got our first cat, Ruby (formerly Judy), from the Humane Society. They made the process so easy and we were so thankful we adopted Ruby. Then, we decided to get her a friend and adopted Rosie (formerly Janine). Both are beautiful tortoise shell babies and I'm just so glad we brought them into our lives. I definitely plan to continue to use the Humane Society in order to adopt animals, if we are to ever want a dog or another cat in the future!

Was not at the place, called to have them rescue small kittens- I live too far for them to care -I thought they were a HUMANE SOCIETY

We rescued a Labrador Retriever at the Humane Society of Scott County. They were excellent to work with, the facility was clean, and the animals seemed to be well cared for. Worth trying when you are looking for a pet.

I had a great experience working with them. I called numerous times with questions that they were always happy to answer. They worked with me to find a cat that would be a good fit for my dog and I. I got to bring my dog in to meet a couple of cats to see how they would react. We adopted Milly (formerly Miley) and she has been a great addition to our family. I am grateful for the staff helping us with this adventure. I will definitely return for future adoptions and recommend them highly.

We adopted our dog, Jax (formally Jaxson) in October. We couldn’t be more in love and happy with our pup! He completes our family! Only gave 4 stars because there seem to be a big lack in communication between staff members... and with phone calls being the only way to communicate during the process because of covid, that aspect was super frustrating! When I finally was able to speak with Angie, the process went smoothly from that point on! Although there were some hiccups in the adoption process with the staff communication , I wouldn’t hesitate to adopt from the Scott County Humane Society again!
