I've taken several of my birds to Animal Family and I couldn't be more pleased. I am so grateful to have a place to take my birds where their well-being and health is taken seriously. Dr. Kathy Van Buer is excellent in what she does. My little parakeet Mina is currently getting aspirated (fluid removed from her abdomen) every 10 days and I feel very safe and comfortable letting Dr. Van Buer handle her. She knows that even the tiniest of birds need care, too! All the staff are pleasant to deal with and always welcoming and helpful. Thank goodness for Dr. Van Buer - our little bird family depends on her! :) Edited 01/15/22 to add: STILL very happy with Animal Family! We see Dr. Lauren Hughes and I LOVE her!

Love the Camp Canine for my four legged friend. Very nice that they upload photos to their Facebook page to show the dogs playing. Unfortunately, the front office staff can be unpleasant at times. Overall, good experience.

I had to have my cat euthanized today and they did really great at making sure I was comfortable with everything and the my sweet girl was getting the care she needed, thank you so much animal family❤

We are sure going to miss Dr. Kathy! She is the very best! We will continue with Animal Family Vet as they are good people and really care about our pets!

We've been taking our animals there for years. The Drs and the staff are always kind and caring.

There's maybe cheaper places to go but they have always been very thorough, careful and respectful with my animals and towards me.

Our son is in college with our cat. He started having seizures or what looked like seizures. Unexplained and bizarre. Dr. Van Buer took good care of him and reassured and comforted our son who was very worried about his pet. She sent a detailed email to me who is hours away. So far so good, he hasn’t had any more seizures. Thank you for your professionalism and your patience. Howie is doing great!

My cat, Midnight has a vitamin B deficiency. Before being diagnosed, she couldn't eat, wouldn't play. She cried if I picked her up. Her belly was distended. Dr Rob was very kind and caring. He explained treatment options thoroughly. One thing I love about him is that he offers cheaper treatment options. He lets me decide and most times the cheaper option is all that's needed, saving me a lot of money, yet effectively treating my pet. I'll never go to another clinic.

EDIT: be aware scheduling at this place is no longer good, because of COVID they are overwhelmed and getting in takes forever. If your pet is in critical condition, I hope you have somewhere else to take them instead of waiting to get in here. They also don’t have much equipment for exotics, though the avian vets are knowledge able and good. Staff attitudes used to be good, but nowadays are 50/50, some are very stressed and rude now. Incredibly compassionate care for my birds. Last year my beloved pet bird started having seizures. I wish they could’ve seen her sooner and had emergency services but I know they have limited resources and staff to be running something like that. Dr. Lauren was so sympathetic and laid out the options for me clearly, while giving me time to think about it. I decided to do what we could for my bird, That turned out to be not a lot except booster vitamin shots due to lack of studies on how to treat birds that are very small. The first time she was cured of her seizures, then the seizures came back on Sunday. While waiting to call for an appointment on Monday, my bird passed on Sunday night. I called to let the staff know, and Dr. Lauren called me back after hours with her condolences. It was the first time I lost a pet, and I hated listening to my bird having painful seizures all night and knowing she was suffering. The experience would’ve been much worse if the staff had been dismissive towards my concerns. But instead they were wonderful, so thank you everyone. if anyone asks where they can take their pet, I’ll refer them to you.

My wounded pup was treated with the kindest and gentlest of care during this visit. When our cockatiel was very ill a few months ago, the compassion was also real. Thank you.

The staff at Animal Family is just incredible! They are kind and understanding, and gentle with my pets. The doctors have been willing to research unconventional treatments for my cats when I ask them to. I am never concerned about asking any question or bringing up any issue with them. I am so grateful to have found this practice!

Signed up for the weekend boarding for my two dogs. The expectations were that my dogs would be groomed when I picked them up. Neither of their nails were trimmed up and they smelled awful. When I asked to speak to someone about it they said there was no way to do all of the baths before they were picked up & I am still waiting on my refund of more than $90.

Overpriced..65$ each for an office call, for ferrets....that took 5 min each. Unfortunately don't have a local vet that has ferret knowledge...bc for my cats locally, office call/ check up is 45$..... Vet assistant said he GAVE a pet box to other customers the week before, however, the VET insisted I pay the 10$ fee....seems discrimatory, why some didn't pay and others did, for the same item.

They have a great exotics vet. Its hard to get in since she is the only one.

April was fantastic. Friendly, kind and informative about Millie. She helped get all my questions answered.

I highly recommend, they got my pet in on an emergency visit within 20 min of my calling them! They were kind and considerate, I appreciated every bit of help they gave me with all my concerns!

This place has been wonderful. I took my West Highland Terrier here when she was not looking very good and it turned out she had a major issue. Even though it was covid they squeezed her in for emergency surgery and worked with us with the Care Credit. They did a fantastic job and she was on her feet in no time. All the checkups and each time I've met their staff everyone has been friendly helpful and understanding. I can't say enough good things about this group, if there were 10 Stars I would have given them.

Such a wonderful atmosphere and caring staff that took care of our puppy while we were out of town, would recommend thier boarding services!!

Unfortunately, I need to downgrade my rating. The vets are still great, everyone is friendly, but we have had issues with scheduling and organization, so we will be moving our dog to a different vet.

Fit us in last minute for our dog that had a huge lump on neck. Turned out to be an infection but they were nice and explained everything in detail. Our dog is not a big fan of men but loved the dr and didn’t get upset when he was treating her. Let her take her time to get to know him
