My mom’s friend’s dog was treated horribly here and ended up being killed from too much sedation medicine. I really recommend going to Dr. Lisa Preston at St. John Animal Clinic, we took all five dogs that we had there and got great care.

Always a great experience. Kind and gentle care.

This is the first of two reviews I hope to leave for different situations. I have been going to Lincolnway Animal Complex since 1992 which encompassed 4 pets overall. I have been there thru changes in employees and changes in business practices over the years. Every change I’ve seen there has been for the better of the clients to take the best care possible of our pets. As far other reviewers talking about pricing, in my experiences over the years they always give clients at least an estimate of what your costs may be and will also give possible costs of anything that may be needed in addition to original estimate. I would not hesitate at all putting any pet of mine in the care of Dr. Vergin-Green and her staff. They have always given my guys the care that I would expect from any doctor. One last thing, if possible consider pet insurance. I have had it on my two most recent boys for many years and it has helped tremendously in offsetting costs for both routine care and especially for injury/illness issues. I have taken two cats for medical attention there

I will give them 5 stars for sure in the care and handling of our dog which is most important thing but as listed below in other reviews we were blindsided with additional fees that were not agreed upon. Before vacation we got a quote for boarding at $210 for 5 days and when we dropped off our dog the sheet was up to $266.00 but what are you going to do 5 minutes before vacation and oh that after and addition $260.00 in charges for the "nessacary" shots to leave the dog which after late research were mostly made up.....Reprehensible! After we returned on pick-up day the charges were up to $320.00 for services they did not cover with me. We all have phone and email which permission could have been granted or denied for B S services......nope, not here folks. They even have the audacity to charge me a fee per pill for administering the medication they put our dog on WITHOUT our permission. Again great care but we hoped for more transparency. I'll leave you with this......If your new to the area like we are and need a vet, they are great if you you want top notch veterinary services with TONS of hidden fees and no notice to services rendered.

Over priced, don’t communicate if your dog becomes ill in their care while being boarded, charge you for services without asking first, etc. Avoid.

Excellent!! I was afraid of the cost but the prices were the same as every where else. The doctor took time with my dog and the staff was very caring in handling him because he's a big guy and was very nervous. Thank you.

We have been dog and cat parents and clients of Lincolnway since 1987. We trust and respect the staff and have recommended their services to many neighbors and friends.

Our furry kids have been clients of Lincolnway Animal Complex since they were pups an it has been over 15 years now. Dr. Pamela Virgil-Green and her staff treat my furry kids as if they were their own. Dr. Green is very focused on the well being of the pet and is always willing to go the extra miles to ensure the pet is healthy and happy. I have received wellness calls from the clinic checking to make sure my pet is on the mend when they were sick. I would recommend Lincolnway Animal Complex to my friends and family as their primary vet clinic.

The good news is that I was able to make an appointment quickly, and the doctor saw my cat the next day. They also called back on the following business day to see how he was doing. But unless you have piles of cash sitting around, you may want to think twice before using their services. I took my very old cat in to have his ears cleaned out, and the total cost of the visit was over SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY dollars, plus the cost of the medicine that I needed to order online. On top of that, they wanted to charge me an additional $15 to get a written prescription for the food that they wanted my cat to take. They charged for every little thing, and each fee seemed higher that it should be. My budget cannot take another hit like this, so I will look around for a more budget-friendly vet.

What a lifesaver Lincoln Way Animal Clinic is! Successfully treated and healed my cat's chronic ear problems when no other vet could! Love the staff and follow up calls to check on Princess! Excellent vet clinic all around!

We had to put down our golden retriever Maxx. It was one of the hardest things we ever had to face as a family. Dr. Pam and her team were amazing throughout the entire process and helped us to find closure in the difficult experience. She administered the drugs so carefully that he just slipped away with no pain at all. We can't express how grateful we are. Thanks again for your support!

Emergency appointment on 9/20/17 and got excellent treatment and care for our dog who was suffering from severe diarrhea. Dr. Vergin-Green was very thorough in explaining what the problem may be and administering first dose of medicines. We were much calmer when we left.

I will never visit this vet again. I've visited a dozen or more pet oriented veterinarians and never saw any of them treat an animal so badly. The vet and her tech were as impatient and rough as the worst livestock vets I've seen. I am amazed that they received so many good reviews.

We have been using Lincolnway for over 20 years. Even after we moved to Portage we still drive back to Schererville to Lincolnway for all our appointments. Our dogs love Dr. Green!

We have been with lincolnway & Dr. Green for 6 years. I would highly recommend them. During our toughest times, Dr. Green & her staff have been available to us. Even on Dr. Green’s day off, she addressed my concerns with our ailing pet. Even shortly before closing & with no appointment, she treated our pet with cancer for an emergency issue & didn’t just direct us to the ER b/c she had no openings. She is very open to you seeking any second opinions b/c it is very clear that her biggest concern is the animal.

Lincoln animal complex is my last resort for a vet. My experience was not well. They care more about getting your money then they do about your pet. TRUST ME. You're better off going to Smith or oak hill animal clinic.

We have been bringing our animals here since I was a child and we really do think they take good care of our animals. We have used them for veterinary care and boarding. However, both my parents and I feel that recently they have been pushing more pricey products and more tests than they did in the past. Also, they have increased their pricing over the last several years fairly significantly. For example, their manager was supposed to call us back regarding one of our bills but we never got a call. The issue was that I took our two dogs in for a booster vaccine, the total time of the visit was <5 minutes, and one vet tech simply squirted solution into both of their mouths. We were charged 2 tech fees and 2 waste disposal fees which is ABSURD. Like I said, my husband called to complain and was told a manager would call him back to help resolve the issue and we never got a call. For now, we are sticking with them because they have always been our vet and they do take good care of our dogs and cats, but both my parents and I have been considering trying another vet.

We have had great experiences boarding our dog with Lincoln Way. Although their vet service prices are a bit more than our regular vet, their boarding prices are very reasonable. The vet also really knows her stuff.
