Their vets and vet techs are so patient and helpful, especially as I had a lot of questions after going to a bad vet for a year with my rescue dog. Just got my dogs dental done yesterday, and I felt completely confident with her in their hands, not to mention a very affordable care plan that includes yearly dentals so I paid less than $50 the day of.

My dog sustained a severe eye injury either during or immediately after his visit at Wrigleyville Veterinary Center. After his injury we had 3 subsequent visits (which I was charged in full for each time) over the span of about 10 days. At no point did they mention this injury could have been a result of the treatment they did on my dog. Only at the 3rd appointment when they told me his eye was at risk for rupture - they said he needed to be taken to an eye specialist IMMMEDIATELY. So not only did I waste my time and money here, I had to go onto a veterinary eye specialist which required extremely expensive and intensive care. Only at the veterinary optho was I told the treatment Wrigelyville used on my dog could cause eye ulcers. Very disappointed.

The team at WV treats my cat with the same level of care, respect, love, and patience that I do. They are incredibly responsive and communicative -- the negative reviews boggle my mind, since my experience has been that the staff are SUPER organized and work quickly but carefully. I think many people fail to realize that a vet clinic is a healthcare facility like any other -- they triage and have emergencies, they get busy, stuff happens. You have to be patient even when you're stressed about your loved one. These doctors are experienced, they're licensed, they know what they're doing. WV is top-tier in my experience, and I've been to dozens of different clinics and vet hospitals over the years. They are always able to squeeze me in within a few days at most, and they are always chipper and friendly and upbeat when I arrive. The doctors, techs, and reception staff all seem to love their jobs and their patients. My cat may never *love* going to the vet, but he tolerates it and even purrs in the office sometimes! I have had plenty of bad experiences at vets in the past, and you can always tells when the people there are just going through the motions. The people at WV clearly care about their patients, each other, and even me -- which means the absolute world to me. It's an absolute delight to support this small business.

My little purr baby was not acting herself this morning & getting sick quite a few times. I was struggling to find a vet in the city taking same-day appointments until I came across this clinic. The staff here was so accommodating & friendly in getting my girl in. While they are limiting guests inside with COVID, it's easy to see in the moments you're inside just how beautiful their space is. They were very responsive & communicated every step of the way (even with a drop-off appointment where I wasn't there in-person). I've had vets who clearly are in a rush & try to quickly hop off the phone, but the doctor was very patient & willing to talk through everything with me. The price on the visit was very comparable to any other vet I've been to - if not less. Being in the city with a great clinic & a last minute visit, I expected to have a brutal bill, but it really was in-line with other vets. I can't thank the staff here enough for taking such great care of my girl & I'll definitely be making this clinic my go-to for all of Nova's wellness needs.

Amazing customer service, they respond so quickly to my emails! Every employee is extremely nice and treat my kitten amazingly. As a first time pet owner, they answered all my questions and lead me in the best direction to make sure my kitten is healthy and happy. Highly recommended!

I spoke a very nice and helpful gentlemen earlier in the day. Explained to him that I wanted to make an appointment but wasn’t sure if I could make it because of work. I was told I could cancel at any point in the day, I called two hours prior to appointment to reschedule and was told by a another front desk receptionist I needed to put down 75$ for my next appointment. The customer service is terrible, you should honor what was told to me versus giving me and attitude and having me not return.

I’ve been extremely pleased with my puppy’s service at wrigleyville Vet. It’s half a mile away so I can walk my guy there for vaccines, appointments, and daycare - which he LOVES OH MY GOD! He’s an active golden retriever (5 months) and I’m a new dog parent. Front desk staff has probably responded to 50-60 emails already from me asking every little thing. They’re patient, reliable, professional, and clearly care about the pets they serve. Highly recommend the puppy wellness plan especially for the first year since there are a lot of services covered including spay and neutering. Thanks for keeping my little man healthy and happy, Wrigleyville Vet!

I have been taking my dog Boo here for the last few months. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with an illness. All of the staff has been amazing. From the front desk associated, to the vet techs, to the doctors. I could not speak more highly of this animal hospital

We're very happy with Wrigleyville Vet being our vet for our Corgi pup. We initially went with them simply because they could see us soonest (~1wk) after getting our pup. Plenty of other vets wouldn't take new "patients" or had insane wait times. We've met and had Drs. Bookstaff, Hardiman, Dudun, and Slossburg and all have been professional, direct, and great to deal with. The team in front is super helpful as well when you have to call in for anything (thanks, Chris!). Today our lil' dum-dum ate a packing foam sheet while out and about and thankfully they could get us in ASAP to get it out. Billing, payments, and records are handled easily and you get your records electronically and in a flash. Anyway, we highly recommend them to anyone and they've been great for our little Chorizo! If I HAD to offer any critical feedback, it's that I wish they were taking new dogs for boarding because we'd trust them for that (call me! Let us in! Haha), and can't wait for COVID stuff to be over so we can go in the lobby upon arrival as it's so open and pretty. All in all, two thumbs up for Wrigleyville Vet and the care they provide.

I have been very happy with my experience here until I found out they neglected to give my dog the rabbies vaccine when I brought him in for updates to vaccinations two days after he was due for that specific one. I was told the vaccines were done, have brought him in for a grooming appointment since and was only told he didn't actually receive the vaccine 3 months later when I called for records for a different grooming facility. Very disappointing oversight. UPDATE: I did receive an apology for the oversight and they offered to take care of the vaccine free of charge because of the error. I appreciate that they acknowledged the oversight and offered a resolution.

Brought my puppy in for her first wellness exam and had a great experience! Scheduling the appointment was easy, we got in within the week, they were quick to respond with emails and gave reminders leading up to the day. Dr. Hardiman took the time to answer my many questions and perform a thorough exam. They are an extremely busy practice yet the appointment did not feel rushed at all. Thank you!

I haven't been here yet but I just called to get some details and I spoke to the nicest receptionist. She answered all my questions and made me comfortable after just moving to the city. I think her name was Katie but I could be wrong - either way, thank you so much!

Adopted my kitty September 2020, great distancing protocols and they were super nice. Finally met in person and the vets are stellar. Great pricing! Only downside is the long wait times for appointments but if you’re not in a rush absolutely come here bc it’s worth it!

This place is great ! We're here for a few months with our dogs and the older one developed a gooey discharge from her eyes. We called on a Saturday afternoon and they had an opening the next morning (Sunday). Imagine a vet that's open 7 days a week ! They were very thorough with the exam and sent us home with the proper medication. Yes, it's a little pricier than a standard vet practice but this facility is state-of-the-art and could handle anything from a routine visit to a serious emergency. I feel much better knowing they're just a block from our place.

Changing my review to a 1 star from a 5 from when I started using them from when they first opened. The vet side of things should really be held separately than their daycare, boarding side of things - which is the worst. …

Such an amazing experience! Dr. DeSollar is our Vet and she was so caring for our dog and extremely patient. I came with 10-15 questions and she listened to all the questions and clarified everything before she began working with our dog. She spent 5-10 minutes letting our baby girl warm up to her and was just so amazing in her care for her. She followed up a few days after to ask how our girl was doing. The staff and team at WV is next level! Matt and Kendra were amazing! All of em were great and so friendly and helpful. I asked for notes from the visit and got a detailed document the next morning. We will forever be WV’ers!

They were able to get my cat in on quite short notice and on a Sunday, quick and responsive. He was having upper respitory issyes. Vet was upfront about costs - gave me multiple options, and even though I went with the higher-end (bloodwork and labs), I still would have been able to get him medicine and treatment at a very reasonable price with the lower option.

We've been using WV for just about year now. And, at first, I was a huge fan. Even when things went a little "off-track," they were quick to get on it and I was always pleased with where they landed. In the last three months, I've noticed a few things that are beginning to give me pause -- mostly because this is a premium facility and I'm happy to pay that premium for a more personalized level of service and care. Regardless, the experience is beginning to feel more like "take a number," and "we can't accommodate you today," or "there's nothing available until..." when my problem is immediate (admittedly, for me...). I am increasingly less excited about this facility, which really stinks. They were amazing at the outset. Happy to see them grow but as customers and pet caretakers, we're feeling increasingly taken for granted.

Very busy place - lots of people have new pets and vets are busy. While it has been difficult for me to drop off my pet, COVID restrictions require that you do so. The quality of care is very good. I miss interacting with the vet in person. My dog had a major surgery and has healed beautifully. Have never been inside the practice, so cannot comment on it.

Amazing vets and staff - Always kind and caring, super helpful, and always took the time to answer my questions. We saw three different vets over our time here so far and each one is WONDERFUL. As a first time dog owner, it was so relieving to find a vet center that truly cares about all their animals AND the animals' owners! The Wellness Plan option is a huge plus and saves you a ton of money. 1000/10!!!

Came to Wrigleyville to establish care for my two elderly dogs after moving to Chicago. We've had 3 appointments here now for checkups, labs, and a dental. They are SO busy and overwhelmed, and the staff can be pretty hit or miss. Some staff are cheerful, others answer the phone with a sigh and can be impatient (prob due to being busy). Months-long wait to get an appointment. Despite the expected pandemic challenges, I've had a couple of negative experiences that will cause me to look elsewhere for care: 1. Defensiveness/gaslighting from Dr. Hardiman - The wrong follow-up labs were drawn on both dogs due to a miscommunication. I understand that people are busy and mistakes happen, but what *really* got me was the fact that rather than just apologize and make it right, he got defensive and blamed me for not coming in sooner for the bloodwork (nevermind the fact it took me over a month to get that appointment). I was in tears after that conversation because his comment left me feeling like my dog's progressing kidney disease was my fault. I know it's not, and I'm doing the best I can on my schedule and budget, but damn. 2. Brought the above dog with kidney disease in for a dental cleaning, an appointment I waited 3 months for. She is 14 and needed some extractions, so naturally I was a little anxious. Got a call at 1:30pm touching base during the procedure to say my dog had gone into heart block and had been a little unstable under anesthesia. Then not a single call all afternoon from anyone to say she was ok. I finally called them at 5:30pm just to make sure she was ok/alive. After no further communication all evening, I decided to drive over there anyway and showed up outside just before closing time... the lights were off and all. It was like they forgot her?? I'm trying to be sensitive to how the pandemic has probably affected things as they were clearly very busy, but I can't really find an excuse for Dr. Hardiman's snarky comment. It was really impossible to build trust with this practice after that. My constructive comment for the practice would be to take even 60 seconds to have someone (anyone, really) call the pet's owner just to say hey, surgery's over and they're ok. The details/updates from the doctor can wait, but a quick phone call could have saved a lot of stress for me that day. Also thank you to Dr. DeSollar for her empathy as I was pretty anxious by 8pm lol.

Had my dog here I loved it I told I had to miss an appointment due to being sick and one appointment was accidentally cancelled and they are now requiring me to pay a deposit every time I make an appointment even tho I’m on their plan which is paid MONTHLY. Horrible Service with not notifying customers about this. So don’t miss your appointment or you will from then on need to pay a fee every single appointment.

Full disclosure I have only been here for their veterinary services and both of these times have been during COVID so I have literally never walked into their office. They do a great job taking care of the pups without us being there, which is great because one ours freaks out at the sight of the front door. It does seem like the techs can be a little hit and miss with their coordination at times - relaying info between the vets and us. While there's never been a bad experience it does feel like they work hard to turn a profit, offering maintenance plans and additional services with every visit. In one specific event our dog went in for his vaccines and then I received a reminder 2 months later that he was due for a rabies shot. It's hard to think that couldn't have been done during the one visit. Overall taking the doggos there feels pretty transactional, but that's understandable given the situation. I will continue to go here in the future and plan to update this review once we are able to step inside.
