I made a big mistake trusting this clinic. It is the worst clinic ever.

This is an amazing practice! The people were kind, extremely gentle with my dog and updated me every step of the way. As a bonus, it is a bilingual (Spanish) office. Dr Mendez was informative and very kind! My dog caught a stomach bug and was quickly becoming dehydrated. My regular vet didn't have an opening for 2 weeks. I was frantically trying to find a practice with an open appointment. Luckily, VCA Mont Clare had an opening. When we arrived, they checked us in and let me know they were able to get my dogs medical records (in less than 24 hours.) I cannot express how comforted I was with their attention to detail and concern for my furry baby. Because of COVID, I wasn't able to go back with my pup. However, they took great care of her! After the doctor evaluated her, she came out and explained what she thought was the best treatment protocol. Then they came out with an itemized quote, BEFORE they did anything. Thankfully, my pup only had a bacterial infection. We were sent home with antibiotics and special food. The vet told me to be sure and check in in a couple of days to let her know how she's doing. Overall, amazing customer service, great care for my dog and lots of animal friendly people! They also have an app that lets you view your pets medical records! Definitely a 5 star experience!

Staff was courteous and professional. You can tell they care deeply for all of the animals under their care. They took care of our loved one after he passed away in our home. Our family was deeply touched by the respect and attention to detail this office maintained.

Mr. Jones and I had the pleasure of having Dr. Mortensen as Paco’s new Vet. She was incredible! My pup is always scared in new places, especially the vet. He was so calm and instantly connected with her and her helper. This was pre-pandemic. She was very informative and didn’t try to nickel and dime me. Instead she gave me options... that was awesome! I would and have recommended her already! Well worth the money and time! BEST VET EVER... ????

Brought my dog Coco in for back and leg pain. Couldn't get an appointment anywhere else. The staff got me in right away and was outstanding. A free first exam some x-rays and a prescription later my dog was in and out super quick. Doctor was very kind and thorough. She gave me some medicinal options but her initial script for a non narcotic worked perfectly. My dog is much better now and back to going up and down the stairs as well as jumping up on the couch like she always did. Totally pain free and I am very grateful to Montclare!!! I will keep coming back here in future!

Dr.Mendez is a life saver! After being denied at several places, she was able to squeeze in our puppy into her busy schedule. Our puppy had parvovirus and wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the help of Dr.Mendez and her staff. We are very grateful and thankful for all the help that was provided! Highly recommend this place.

Took my 5 yr schitzu in very bad shape. She couldnt walk and here eyes were rolling. The vet told me there was nothing she could do and i would have to see a specialist but my dog would still probably die. She told me if i thought i could take her home and she would get better it would never happen. I did take her home, got second opinion. Severe ear infection. Cured in 2 wks. If u love ur pet Stay far away.

Took my dog to this vet today. Within 20 mins, Dr Mortenson was trying to juice every single cent out of my girlfriend. She demanded tests and xrays while insisting that our dog needs “emergency surgery today or tomorrow.” Naturally, I was skeptical and took my dog to another vet and that vet said that the surgery was unnecessary and misdiagnosed. This place will prey on your emotions and ignorance. Do not recommend at all. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PLACE FOR YOUR ANIMALS. Dr mortenson will use your ignorance against you and will try to make to you make an impulse decision. A real life fraud

Great experience using Covid protocol. I've never just handed over my animals before, but the staff was really engaging, told me exactly what would happen, when and why. Best part is my senior cat is on the road to feeling better.

Dr Lisa, seems to be very nice and caring person however her misdiagnosis actually lack of almost killed my dog. Went there with my female dog which had vomited overnight about 20 times and stopped eating. She did not find any reason for it, gave her anti-vomiting and water injections and sent her home. Although the dog stopped vomiting, she was still not eating. After few days I went back to dr Lisa and she ensured me, there is no reason for her not to eat and she’ll be fine. Few days later she was still not eating - by then it was 10 days. Dr Lisa took her for couple of hrs observation and concluded the same again. She’ll it now said as she had eaten a can of food while in her hospital. I waited two more days and the dog was not eating and became very weak on her legs and confused. I rushed her to MedVet, were doctor determined a trapped hernia and she went into surgery immediately. The surgeon said after the operation, that the hernia was old and already slightly perforated and added day or two and it would burst, which would obviously end in dog’s death. One thing - there is no way my dog ate anything in dr Lisa’s hospital let alone whole can, it was simply impossible. If the food disappeared from the bowl, rats - that’s all I can think about. Secondly but most importantly dr Lisa had not have enough knowledge and proper equipment (ultra-sound) to diagnose and yet did not refer me to another place with such capabilities. She charged me around six hundred dollars and only agonized my dog almost to death, extremely irresponsible. Good place to get a vaccination and some basic treatment perhaps but with something more serious stay away.

Took my dog here in due to another dog biting him. I was able to get an appointment right away, with meds and all it seemed reasonably priced.

Dr Mendez was great. She answered all my questions and had found a solution for my pups condition. She gave me a treatment and it works well. The office does a great job following in accordance with covid guidelines. I highly recommend this place to all pet owners. Many thanks to the staff as well for attending my pup's needs. Awesome staff!!

The staff here is amazing I been going there for years and they are great. Is expensive but they definitely give your pet the best treatment and the vets are very knowledgeable.

I have been going to the same vet for many years but thought I would try Mont Clare since it's closer to my house. Everyone that works there was very nice. They were very nice to my dog. I noticed that it was quite clean for a vet. My only problem is that I paid a significant amount more than what I was paying at my previous vet and got a lot less. To my recollection, they didn't check inside my dog's ears, shine a light into her eyes to check them or even clip her nails. My previous vet would go as far as cleaning out her ears and even brushing her teeth during her visit. I don't mind paying more as long as I'm getting equal amount of service at the very least least.

They were so great with our new rescue. Answered all my questions and made sure I knew everything they were going to do.

Doctors are very knowledgeable, and caring for the animals. Prices are a bit steep. But if you love your animals. This is the place to go to.

Very frustrating on how their fees aren't told and explained properly.

This place has been amazing since I was young. My mom recently had to put her dog down and about a week later they sent her a wonderful card along with a poem & and princesses paw prints . I recommend this place for anything
