My cat HATES the vet and gets upset and aggressive at the vet. I was so impressed with how kind and patient the technicians and vet were with my cat and decided to only take her here from now on. I could tell that they really care and love cats. They were also very patient with me, explaining everything in depth and answering all my questions.

I cannot recommend VCA Cat Hospital and Drs Foose and Czerwonky enough. I trust them so much I would even let them operate on me. Although the facility is far from my house, I initially chose the cat hospital because the vets specialize in cat care. I keep coming back because of how well they take care of my two babies. I am extremely proactive about my cats’ health, and we visit VCA multiple times a year for checkups. One of my cats is a complete monster at the vet, but the technicians and vets show him way more patience than I’ve seen with other facilities we’ve visited in the past. That makes me feel extremely comfortable and happy. My other cat has severe dental issues, and Drs Czerwonky and Foose were able to catch the issues early enough that they prevented tooth and severe bone loss (and saved me thousands of dollars). I was very nervous about Hamilton going under anesthesia for his first dental procedure, but the doctor and technician walked me thoroughly through the procedure ahead of time and ran blood tests to ensure there were no underlying conditions that would put him at risk. Everyone who works at VCA, from the doctors to the technicians, is friendly, kind, patient, and most important to me, highly knowledgeable and competent about cat healthcare. I am a lifelong customer and will hopefully never take my cats anywhere else for care.

I've always been treated with professional and caring service from the folks at Cat Hospital of Chicago, and when the time came to have my cat put to sleep, I received a sympathy card in the mail with handwritten notes from my cat's veterinarians, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated.

Just took my cat in for a check up at VCA. They were extremely thorough and provided great instructions and guidance on my cat's overall health. I have to take her back for some bloodwork but I appreciated their honesty and advice on the situation. I'm looking forward to bringing her back - Hopefully not for a while after that, but they did a great job, seem to know their stuff!

We have visited VCA Cat Hospital of Chicago for over 20 years with five cats. Dr. Currigan and her team have consistently provided the most knowledgeable and sophisticated medical service I’ve ever experienced—and I’ve had cats my entire life. They keep apprised of the latest research while showing genuine warmth and concern for felines. Even when their hospital was damaged by a neighbor‘s fire, they managed to provide the same level of service in a trailer while repairs were done. We moved to Evanston years ago, but still rely on their excellent help. Nowadays, we deliver our cat to their foyer and have a Teams meeting in our car. They wipe down door knobs etc after each delivery. You know you’re getting the best with Cat Hospital. My husband and I, both serious skeptics, trust them implicitly.

We had a cat who had a licking problem and created hot spots. Every vet we went to couldn’t figure it out. We tried this place. The staff were super friendly and they were able to help our cat. It was also very affordable. We are making this vet our primary vet from now on!

Great vet. My cat even got included in a free study which saved us thousands in diagnosing her issue.

I called up there to just find out cost. I understand about the first appointment just being an exam. But when I asked about neutering average price I was just looking for. The front desk refused to give me any price at all.call me they'd only do that after I did the appointment. Which is kind of shady. Be careful of these guys. Especially if they're not transparent about pricing.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Vets and Techs treat humans and cats alike with so much respect.

Their no-contact solution was great - drop the cats off in the entryway, video conference in the exam room, so I got to talk with and watch the doctor while she was examining the cats, and then pickup the cats from the exit vestibule. They took great care with the pets and were comprehensive with their exam and treatment.

Super sketchy on their pricing structure, they refused to be transparent about costs of testing beyond the fee of simply getting my cat in the room with a vet, when other local clinics were much more forthcoming. Their explanation? They would have no idea what the vet would recommend and price the tests at. Further research revealed that VCA is owned by Mars Inc., the candy bar company. That definitely makes it feel more and more like the lack of transparency is a way to price gouge retroactively.

I've taken my cats to a few different vets in the city and this was by far the best experience.

My cat had her first visit here just this month and Dr. Foose was wonderful! The facility is clean and safe. Everyone was wearing their masks and did a very good job of social distancing. Usually cat parents are asked to wait in their vehicles during the visit. No one but the Dr. and staff are allowed in the exam room, but they offer a way to see via video, the exam from your car. If however your cat is like mine, very scared of almost everything, they did make a special accommodation for me (which must be requested well ahead of time and for special circumstances) to be in the hospital waiting room and I sat in a chair more than six feet away from my cat. I was able to still watch and speak to through mesh netting that enclosed the entire doorway from my chair six feet away. So we could communicate both Dr. & I through the net and still maintain proper distance. Dr. Foose has such a kind bedside manner, and she was so patient with me and my questions and concerns, and also with my cat. The front desk staff and nurses were also all very kind! While there, there was a lovely young lady who was cleaning throughout the lobby which was reassuring to me, that this place is clean and safe. I will definitely be coming to this hospital again.

Dr. Currigan has been our cats' vet for around 30 years. She is the best. Period. The staff needs to up its game on helping cat owners get their bill and get their cat out of the stressful situation. We have been kept waiting way to long.

We had a lot of trouble finding a good vet for our cat, Ponyo. She suffered from UTI’s for several years, and so many vets couldn’t get to the bottom of it. After just one visit, the wonderful Dr. Thompson was able to get to the bottom of Ponyo’s issue and she’s never once had another UTI! They’re the best and I will never take Ponyo anywhere else!

I love Cat Hospital -- the doctors are excellent. I've been a client for 20 years. Cats are deeply cared for and staff is wonderful.

They care about cats, and they know about cats. From the support staff to the vet, all were knowledgeable and very good with the cats. I was even made to feel very comfortable because of their skill drawing blood and taking other measurements on an animal that isn't always cooperative. Everything was explained to me, nothing was rushed, and the decision was my own. My cat left the place more calm than he arrived. They will be my cat's vet going forward.
