TLC First Animal Hospital Chicago, Illinois

The hospital seems very nice and clean. The people at the front desk are very nice. I give this 5 stars because we see an animal chiropractor, Dr Sig Hansen, here. He is one of the best care givers we've ever had for our dogs! Thank goodness he sees patients at TLC once a week!

I found Dr. Sue and TLC First in 2013 after a bad experience at a nearby animal hospital that I had been going to for years. Dr. Sue immediately diagnosed an allergy that the other vet had been unable to diagnose, and he suggested an invasive technique before any other tests. So, I am indebted to Dr. Sue for her common sense and intelligence. I have been coming here since then and the staff is excellent. They are willing to work with you and squeeze you in if need be, and always have the utmost respect for their clients. Although Covid 19 has negatively impacted many businesses-TLC has made it work. They are operating with limited staff requiring a reduction in hours of service, and "pet parents" have to wait outside during examinations, etc. , but all these changes are designed with their own and you and your pet's health in mind. I have had to email for a couple of issues that were worrisome for me as an owner, but Dr. Sue responded almost immediately and settled me down and guided me in solving the problem on my own. For those people who don't feel the pandemic is legitimate-or is a government conspiracy, try to remember that people are sick and dying from SOMETHING. Any business that follows a protocol to keep its community safe is doing the right thing, no matter what anyone else believes. Thank you TLC First. Stay safe!

I have nothing but gratitude to Dr. Sue. She is a very caring, kind, extremely knowledgeable and highly professional Vet. I trust her judgment and recommendations for my pet who we have had for over 3.5 years. She knows how to deal with French Bulldog's breed issues and we always gets needed support. The staff is also kind and caring. Dr. Sue, I'm so thankful for everything you do for Ronny. We are lucky to have you.

Love TLC! Just took my Gus for her annual, and with Covid things have changed everywhere. Had to leave her for her exam at the vet office, so I was a bit nervous. But the staff kept me informed on everything going on and picked her up within an hour. Thank you for taking great care of my little one.

When i called Lauren who was the receptionist was very strange she said "sorry right now we are not taking any new clients" im not even sure what that means at a vet as ive been there with my other pets and let her know i am a client.....all i asked for was a simple stool test for my pet......not professional atall. Hope you keep all your clients with that attitude. Turned away before you get a chance to even look at the door ????

Dr. Sue's the best, she saved two of my dog's life and just all-around best vet to have she can tailor a plan for your dog's nutritional needs and any issues that they may be having if you could ever get doctor soon as your pets that it would be the best move-in choice you ever made love you Doctor Sue.

Doctor Sue is not only a good vet she's a unbelievable person I think she likes her patience more than the owners of the patients Haha Thanks for staying open during these trying times , and being able to Shuffle all the appointments according to Priority of the needs of the pet

Wonderful people, extra covid measures in place which I appreciate.

My issue with this place is not the service. I have lived in the neighborhood for a very long time. The owner of this establishment brings her own dogs with her to the animal hospital. When she leaves at the end of the day she lets her 2 or 3 very big dogs out without leashes to run around in the alley. Alot of people who live near by walk their dogs through this area just like my husband and i do with our dog. It's not safe to have large dogs running around freely without leashes in a residential area. There could be a issue with other pets as well as other people. Being the owner of an animal hospital, I would think this women would know that this is something you can't do.I have already made a report about this issue but still. If you take your dogs outside please use a leash. If you want them to run around freely then there are dog parks made for that specific reason.
