Had an absolutely lovely time here a few weeks ago. I'm allergic to cats so it's so nice to have a space like this were I can visit and play with cats (allergy meds in system) for a little while. The Catcade is clean and well organized, and the staff was very friendly. Saw a few adoptions in process while we were here and I've had friends adopt from here as well - allgl good experiences! You need to get a reservation before going (they do accept walk-ins but if they're booked you won't be able to get in). Single bathroom off of the main cat area and they have lots of retro games to play if you want. Honestly, the cats and kittens are more than enough of a distraction though so we never touched those.

A relaxing and well organized experience! I hate cats, but they are God's creatures and my daughter loves them. She loved this place.

So many cats/kittens! Fun arcade games are included in the price and so is a soft drink. Definitely going back.

The catcade is lovely, the cats are wonderful. They could use more soft places to sit for humans, so if you've got the goods, maybe contact them for a donation!

What can say about The Catcade other than it's a wonderful experience and an hour spent that will zoom by. The cats and kittens are more than happy to greet, play, climb and get into kitty shenanigans. The location was very easy to find with no issues finding a spot. It's very clean and well taken care. You come away know that everyone there loves and cares about what they do. I recommend playing some of the table games just to be visit by a furry player looking for next. I can't say enough how great of a time I had. If you can I suggest booking a time since they can reach they're capacity for the hour.

I rented out the place for an hour with a group of friends for my birthday in October 2021. It was such a wonderful time! There were more kittens there than I've ever seen in my whole life. They were super sleepy and I could've died they were so cute!! The space itself is lovely and welcoming with lots of places for people to sit and kitties to nap. It's nice that they give you a free soda or water with entry, but I was so preoccupied with the cats I almost forgot to drink it! I didn't play any of the video games but some of my friends did and it was a nice touch. Overall, a great place for a birthday party (make sure to tell them it's your birthday so you get the fun birthday button) as well as a wonderful cause to support. I will definitely be back.

It's kinda the cutest place in Chicago. They have a small selection of bottled/canned drinks that you get to pick from on the way in. After you sign in at the front desk, pick out a drink and put your coat/belonging down you get to go into the cat room! There are so many sleepy, playful, confident, etc cats in the cat room!! Some snuggle, some chase, all of them get the benefit of being exposed to people! This would be a very very great place to adopt a cat from if you were looking for a buddy (any buddy) but especially one that's cool with lots of people filtering in and out of your apartment.

Not only is it an awesome space to hang out in, but the CatCade is an amazing & responsible rescue that goes above & beyond for the cats in their care.

I was lucky enough to be at the Catcade on opening day, and have been many times in the years since. Chris & Shelly are incredible and sassy and care so deeply for the cats and the work they do, and the other staff & volunteers are outstanding. Can't recommend this place highly enough – but make sure you MAKE A RESERVATION! Also their shirts & sweatpants are so comfortable and cute, how do they do it??

Didn't know I needed reservations, but it was my fault for not researching. A+ selection of soft friends, slightly fewer video games than I was expecting

This is such a wonderful rescue. Many cat cafés work with a rescue. This cat café IS the rescue. They keep everything super clean and there is plenty of seating. They limit the number of people in the lounge so they can give you the best experience. With that said, make reservation No really make a reservation. Big plus in my book was meeting Leo. He is the permanent lounge cat. Thanks Catcade, it was great ! ????????????????????

I had a great experience at the Catcade! We got there a bit early and the staff gave us the low down and answered our questions while we waited. The whole building was super clean and THE CATS!! There were maybe 10 kittens and about 4 "older" (non kitten) cats. All the cats were friendly and when we went at 7pm they were in an especially playful mood. I dont think anyone in our time slot even touched the few arcade games they had. It seems like the cats get adopted fairly quickly which is understandable because they are so cute. It is likely that the cats you see already have applications in for adoption, but they say they choose homes based on best fit, not first come first serve. The staff were friendly, especially Chris who answered our questions as they were closing up. They also have a fostering program, but even if you aren't trying to go home with a cat this is a great place to visit.

Best place ever! Arcade concept is so cute even though you’ll be too busy playing with the kittens to care about playing them. It was so clean and didn’t smell at all like cats or even stir up my allergies. Cats are so friendly that even dog people will be swayed to the feline side. ????‍⬛ ???? Be sure to get reservations as this place books up fast even during the weekdays.

Visiting the Catacde was an awesome experience. The facility is clean, staff is friendly and most of all the cats are super friendly. Would definitely schedule another appointment to visit them in the future.

Cat Arcade! So cool! Less of a cafe and more of an arcade. Comes with a free drink though, and the cats are marvelous. 10/10. Highly recommend.

The cats are totally sweet they come to you. Very friendly and nice atmosphere.. But the staff not so much in that you don't get any explanation regarding the adopting process or even asked what brings you in for your visit. If your mission is to get these cats a good home you should probably interact with potential cat parents. I was very disappointed there isn't a more objective welcome intereation with the staff.

The catcade was a wonderful experience. The cats are very playful, the place is very clean, and the atmosphere is very friendly. They have playable arcade games as well, but of course people come for the cats. I plan on coming as often as possible.
