We’ve been seeing Dr Marisa for 8 years and I am SO grateful to have Ravenswood and Marisa for our pets. All of the staff is incredibly kind and helpful and I always know my pets are getting the absolute best care and consideration when they are being seen there. My dogs have had so many different isssues and they are always met with plenty of options, kindness, and love. I’ve had to put down several pets due to illness and they made the experience so incredibly special despite how hard it was. I can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done. I will always trust the opinion and feedback from them because I know they have the animals best interest. Highly highly recommend!!!!

The news isn't always great, but the knowledge, compassion and service are.

Only here to fully back Nicolle Woods' comment from a couple months ago. They're all about the $$$$. I also have an older dog, 11 years. He's starting to get the typical fatty pockets, slowing down, etc. The last couple times we've taken him all they can talk about is this or that unnecessary procedure. Sometimes even skipping right to like, a full on biopsy, before anything else less invasive is considered. Super silly. We're changing vets now.

I have has persistent issues with Ravenswood Animal Hospital, and this most recent one just took the cake. It is clear that the actual care of animals is secondary to charging for unnecessary procedures. In short, after expressing concern about something seemingly protruding from my dog's skin/fur, rather than the Vet starting off by looking, with her eyes, they immediately started a full exam on my dog ($$$), despite my animal not having any alarming symptoms, my animal having just had a full exam ($$$) and me expressing that I was not in a financial position to drop hundreds of dollars at that moment. ($$$). When I objected to the full exam, with a simple glance, the Vet was able to discern that it was only a stick stuck in my dog's fur. Without any consideration for the obvious anxiety that my dog had (only since I had to do a drop off visit during Covid, which made me somewhat suspicious already) and my very legitimate request, they were fully prepared to charge me hundreds for an unnecessary exam, adding to their bottom line, and emptying my pocket. I offered to pay for the vet's time, because I understand that they did spend a solid 4 minutes (!?) with my pet, and would have been fine paying for their eyes, they wouldn't let me pay. I tried to insist. The next morning I received an email stating that "I wasn't a good fit" for their practice...meaning what? I didn't have hundreds of dollars to drop on a stick stuck in my dog's fur? Meaning that I wouldn't let them take advantage of me? It's clear that the care of the animal is far from being the primary concern for this establishment. I was not looking for service for no fee, but when a business insists upon unnecessary procedures for their own enrichment, they should not be in business. I imagine that this is emblematic of a persistent approach with Ravenswood Animal Hospital, and I'm certainly glad I found out now, before I had an actual issue that would have invited them to charge me for even MORE unnecessary procedures.

The vet is never my favorite place to be but they always make it so pleasant everyone is very courteous and kind to all the animals mine and everybody else is coming in and out they're lovely here

We've been taking our little Boxer girl to Ravenswood Animal Hospital ever since we got her, and we wouldn't go anywhere else! All of the staff there are very loving and compassionate towards all fur babies! We followed Dr. Olsen to this facility when we learned that she started her own practice, and we couldn't be happier!

We've been going to Ravenswood Animal Hospital since our dog was 4 months old. They always do a great job of taking care of Frank and are transparent about different care options. I highly recommend anyone that owns a dog or cat to make Ravenswood Animal Hospital your primary Vet.

Dr. Olsen and staff were so friendly and beyond helpful with guiding us through all the requirements to move our cat to Hawaii. I definitely recommend taking your pet(s) to Ravenswood Animal Hospital! Thanks again!

I can’t say enough great things about Ravenswood Animal Hospital. After moving to Chicago in 2018 and thinking I’d never find a vet as great as my previous one, I was thrilled to be proven wrong. The expertise and customer service (both by the veterinarians and staff) at Ravenswood Animal Hospital has been wonderful. You and your pet will be in great hands with any of the veterinarians.

Had to switch to a vet closer to my house, but I have nothing but good things to say about Ravenswood! They’ve taken great care of my senior dog, always give me multiple treatment options and answer all of my (sometimes admittedly ridiculous) questions.

No small pets like Hamster etc. Call other places that care cause it your pet.

I'm so happy we found this place - an independent vet office where the doctors know us and our animals. The quality of care is excellent, they're super nice people and could not be nicer.

There is no better vet in the city. The vets and staff are very compassionate and knowledgeable. State of the art facilities and treatments.

We were referred to this practice by several families in our neighborhood. All I can say is WOW! I've never experienced such a warm, welcoming and genuinely loving veterinary practice. They couldn't have been more knowledgeable and gentle with our super senior 17 year old dog. So happy to have found them!

Ravenswood has a good COVID19 protocol. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The veterinarian was thorough with my cat and worked with me in an informative and collaborative manner. And everyone liked Artemisia! The only thing I would change were it possible is to move the clinic away from the busy Montrose/California corner.

Friendly doctors and staff here. They are very understanding and work well with our skittish pup. It's generally easy to get an appointment and the 6 - 8 pm closing times during the week are much appreciated and work well with most work schedules. They are offering "curbside" services during the pandemic where they pick the dog up and drop off at your car outside. You then speak with the doctor and handle the payment over the phone from outside. This setup worked very well for us. Small, sufficient parking lot in front of facility. Definitely recommend.

Really nice staff, doctors are awesome. Stayed and answered all of our questions. Definitely trust our animals health and future with these guys.

I love this animal hospital! The staff is all so amazing! I took my dog to banfield for years and just started coming here with my old dog. It's been a few years now and we're not looking back!! The doctors are all so great! Kind and knowledgeable. I trust them with my oldie and any dog hereafter!!

Placed seemed very clean and stuffed seemed to be in control of operations.
