An awesome place to take your pets. All the doctors and staff are very caring

I had two prior dogs and this was their primary vet. They passed away and years later I have a new puppy. I had attempted to schedule two appointments during Covid 2020. They asked for a deposit which I provided, even though I was not a first time customer. Both appointments I called to cancel because another vet was able to get me in sooner than them. Well, the last time I cancelled, according to their records I was a no show. They would not refund me my deposit and I was left with no receipt to show I cancelled since you can only cancel via phone. Their records rule and pretty much told me i was a liar but please come and give us your business. Horrible experience with poor customer service. Beware and find another vet that treats you with respect and does not question your integrity.

The doctor was incredibly patient and super caring with my dog when he came in for his annual check up and Vaccines. She sat with him on the floor, gave him pats and told him how handsome he was ???? The staff always takes copious notes of what triggers my dog so that they can give him the least stressful experience while having everyone be safe.

The doctors and the staff are very professional and knowledgeable. They have taken good care of dogs for the past 18 years.

I absolutely love this place. We’ve always had a great experience no matter which vet or technician has been working with us. We’ve even continued to come back here after moving out of the area and down to the west loop. We look forward to many more years of bringing our dog here!

Our visit went very smoothly and we were in and out.

We started coming here after our family vet passed away and his clinic was closed. They are a tad bit pricier than our old vet but I've seen two doctors at this location and they were both knowledgeable and nice. All the vet techs have been extremely kind and attentive to our large and intimidating (to some) dogs. We don't mind the drive or the price knowing that they will listen to our concerns and address the problems with a good attitude and professionalism

We've been taking our pets to Portage Park Animal Hospital for a couple of years now and we have been very happy with their service and care. All of the Veterinarians our pets have seen have been nice, knowledgeable and very patient. All other staff have been great as well.

They are as accommodating as can be. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else but there. They really have you and your pets concerns as a top priority.

The staff is warm and friendly. I have brought my young and old cats and dogs here and you can tell they really care and love animals. Even when I had to put one of my animals down due to cancer they really took time with me and helped me through it and treated my cat like their own. You can't find a better vet to care for your fur babies.

Our bella always gets the best treatment. They are honest and truly care for their patients.
