Amazing vet! I moved to Chicago a few months ago with my frenchie Louis and I’m so glad we went to visit Dr. C. She is very kind and profesional. Taylor too, Louis love her. Today was his first appointment and the whole staff was so friendly welcoming.We travel a lot so he has been in too many different vets but this is the first time I want to leave a review because I feel this place is amazing! He was so happy. Thank you so much ♥️

Every vet I've ever been to tried to get the most amount of money out of me as possible by trying to push excessive labs for common issues. This vets office is different. They respect your time and money and are completely transparent about the most likely issue and respective treatment

Dr. C is wonderful. Really took care of my dog while he got over his pneumonia. Very communicative and responsive and answered all my questions and then some! The staff is caring and friendly... just what you need when your loved one is feeling under the weather.

I can't say enough about how much I love Pets First ❤! Dr. Matt is so kind and gentle with Mia and is patient with all of my questions. After a traumatic experience at my last corporate chain vet with previous elderly cat, Dr. Matt knows just how to handle my concerns kindly even if I am a little overprotective of my young and perfectly healthy current cat ????.

We're moving to Texas at the end of this month, and we United Airlines mentioned that we might need a get our cat Hawk a "Health Certificate" and make sure he's up-to-date on his vaccines. To make a long story short, we had to take our cat Hawk to a local vet in Bensenville IL and things didn't go so well with the documentation we needed, but I was able to contact Hawk's previous Veterinarian "Dr. Mitchell" and his amazing office at Pet's First Veterinary Clinic and they were able to get us the Health Certificate that we needed, they didn't even charge my for it. Now we're able to fly to Texas without any issues. If I wouldn't have moved so far from Chicago and to Bensenville, I would have been able to take Hawk to Pet's First Veterinary Clinic from the beginning, but even though I moved far away, they were just a phone call and email away, and they were still willing to help me out. I mean that alone says a lot about this company and the positive impact they have on their community. I love this company and Dr. Mitchell. I can only pray that when we move to Texas we are able to find another "Grade A+" vet clinic like this in Texas and another amazing veterinarian like "Dr. Mitchell". Listen my fellow pet owners, Pet's First Veterinary Clinic is a very professional clinic. The Veterinary Doctor's are so professional, knowledgeable, and best of all super kind to you and your pet. The Vet techs are also professionals and they are very experienced. It doesn't end there, the front desk staff are also very professional, knowledgeable, and very nice. They will respond to emails and phone calls in a very timely manner. If you're looking for the best pet care for your furry friends, this is the best place to go. Don't be stingy and try to take your pet to some other cheap vet clinic, choose Pet's First Veterinary Clinic, trust me their services are worth every single penny and they WILL take good care of you and your pet. Best Doctors and staff! Alex is a gem

We used Dr. Mitchell for all the years we were at this clinic. He did amazing with our dog, and countless times, Dr. Mitchell went above and beyond for our dog. He met him as a puppy and cared for him for 5.5 years. We just moved out of state and are on the hunt for a new vet. No vet here has compared to Dr. Mitchell or his staff. Communication was always excellent. Front staff are super knowledgeable, and there’s always follow through when staff say they will follow up. Count yourself lucky if you have the option to bring your pet here !

They are so fantastic there, they take such good care of my baby girl Leeloo. We love Pets First and everyone who works there.

I take my dog and cat here because it's just down the street, but the vets are INCREDIBLY friendly. I highly recommend.

10/10. As a fellow pet parent who did their vet search online and relied on reviews and recommendations, I just wanted to say how happy I am that I chose Pets First. I am a first-time dog/puppy owner who, naturally, has had tons of questions, and all the staff has been incredibly patient and responsive. Typically, we see Dr. Matt, who I could not recommend more, he is caring and takes the time to talk through any questions or concerns you may have, without feeling rushed. I have full confidence that as we navigate through the inevitable ups and downs that come with being a pet parent, that Pets First will be there to support my girl.

We love this vet office so much. Our pup has had some issues these last three months and we've had to call on them a lot. The staff is always kind and very helpful. Everyone here clearly loves our pets as much as we do! We feel lucky we could get our pup set up with them!

I have been going to Petsfirst for 8 years, the staff and vets are always great with my dog and genuinely care about his well being. They always give their suggestions and advice when needed.

We took our cats to Pets First for five years while we were living in Chicago and I can’t say enough good things about the care they received. We never felt rushed and the vets always took time to explain how our cats were doing and answer all of our questions thoroughly. One of our cats has chronic health problems and the vets, especially Dr. Matt, consistently struck a great balance between advocating for care and interventions that would help him while not subjecting him (or us) to expensive and potentially unhelpful diagnostics or treatments. I truly felt like he and the other vets were approaching my cats as if they were their own pets. The vets were also responsive to email questions which was especially valuable during the pandemic, and often went above and beyond in the thoughtfulness of their replies. I always felt the prices were reasonable and there was never a very long wait time to get our cats seen. I wish we could keep taking our pets here! Such a kind and friendly environment full of love and care for animals.

Amazing supportive staff and doctors

The entire staff at Pet's First is reliable, knowledgeable, and are true animal lovers. You can tell they understand and care about the bond between people and their pets as they always go above and beyond for both their patients and their owners. I can't say enough good things about them!

Been going here since I moved to the city, so like 6+ years! They have been absolutely fantastic managing my senior Boston terrier's health. Very transparent and honest about pricing, procedures and all that. Not inexpensive, but very worth. Even though I moved from the Northside I wouldn't want to bring my pups anywhere else. Note they have been great with COVID as well.

This clinic is amazing. I called short notice worried about my cat and they fit me in. They are professional and empathetic. Dr. Matt is great and took the time to answer all my questions. The front desk staff and techs are also great and supportive.

Great veterinary clinic in east Lakeview

We had gone to a different vet 4 times to try and get our cat vaccinated, but after one quick visit to Pets First, they were able to get it done and at a better price! They were very nice and took great care of our cat, especially given her bad attitude, definitely recommend Pets First for anyone else with a feisty cat!

Hands down the best vet I've ever taken my fur babies to! I don't know why I took so long to write this review; Pets First is amazing. I took my cat and dog there when I lived in Lakeview, and then switched to a closer vet when I moved to West Loop. Immediately I realized just how good I had it with Pets First. So after trying two vets in the West Loop area, I went back to Pets First and I'm so happy I did. They're fast to respond to emails, they give personalized responses, and I can tell they all really care about Jack and Ellie. I've since moved to California and even though I'm not a customer there anymore they continue to help me with vet recommendations and prescription refills. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Erin - and the whole staff.

I can't possibly say enough good things about Pets First. Our dog, Harley, loves the entire staff so much! Not only are they incredibly responsive, but the follow-up calls we receive checking in after a visit truly set Pets First apart. Although this is the first veterinary clinic we've ever used, I can't imagine there are any better clinics.

Basing this rating off of my experience over the phone. I was really looking forward to setting up an appointment here for my cats because of all the great reviews, but unfortunately, I didn't experience the positive customer experience that everyone else did. I called to make an appointment as a new client and was asked if I could be placed on a hold by Sarah. I said it was okay and was left on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called again, and was asked to be placed on another hold but asked how long it would take, and was told a few minutes, but it was a longer hold again. I waited and finally was able to talk to Sarah and asked if they are taking new clients and was told yes but they are booked up until the end of next month, I said that's okay, thank you and got hung up on which was kind of rude. I am sure they offer great service, but I definitely did not have a good experience.

Literally the best clinic ever and I’m not exaggerating. We adopted our 60lb 6 month old pup a few months ago, and being first time parents we had about a million questions every other day. They answer our questions via email and even call to walk through what we should do or try (allergies meds, etc) before we make an office visit, and then and check up on him a few days later just to see how he’s doing. And all of this during COVID quarantine nonetheless! They have been amazing every step of the way and we cannot thank them enough. Highly recommend and I’m so glad we found them. The Dr is very friendly, but the technicians are not friendly at all. Even over the phone, they seem irritated with you. Also, they seem to charge more and don't ask before doing something that you only find out about later because it's on the bill. That said, the doctor/vet is great.

We’ve been coming to Pets First since I got my puppy. They are fantastic. Very reasonable, fast, and they know what they are doing. We even moved to a different part of Chicago but continue to come here even though we have to take a Lyft. Highly recommend Pets First. They go above and beyond to make sure your pet is healthy and comfortable.
