I’m so disappointed in Julio. He is an awesome groomer and I applaud his craft but recently, I scheduled an appointment as I have been for my two shizu’s for a full grooming. Julio is very skilled and my babies love him and so do I. Your probably wondering why am I writing this poor review. Well I have a problem with poor communication. The day of my boys appointment actually and hour before they were due Julio text me that he has a family emergency and will call me to reschedule I was ok with that things happen. THAT WAS 3weeks ago. No accommodations nothing. I’m willing to pay all I want is for them to get groomed they are due every 6 weeks. Rocco is 8 years old and Rio is 8months old. I’ve called him from my office phone to see if everything was ok with his emergency he said yes. I asked when can I get the boys in . He said he was waiting on a cancellation. I agreed thinking that may work. Well now we are in week three and I’m not in favor of their appearance. I called and left messages twice and I’ve texted. We have been coming for a long time now and I don’t want to discontinue our business relationship but I will. My final message was let’s just reschedule because the cancellation list is a no go. I’m starting to feel like you do not want our business if so please inform me. No response. I can see if there was ever a problem or I didn’t pay or tried to negotiate a fee for his service or never tip. I have always payed what he requires. I have tipped what I can afford. I’m on time and I pick them up in a timely fashion. So far just crickets. Julio I’m so disappointed in your behavior. Ignoring a paying customer who refers is not cool. I have referred 5 people to you. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I have a rescue and an old, largely blind dog. They are fabulous with them! Other places were too hectic and kept them way too long.

We love Julio! Our pup loves it here, even though he is nervous when it comes to grooming. He also always comes out with the cutest haircut. You can also tell Julio really loves every dog and always has the place decked out in seasonal decorations and is taking pictures of all the pups.

Fantastic customer service and good communication. I love my poodles’s new cut. Would highly recommend and will be gong back!

1st time at Mau's house and WOW!!! Julio is amazing! He was so friendly and made sure to ask all the right questions when we arrived such as how I want my dog cut, what specifically do I want cut, and if she has any issues that he should be aware of. He then proceeded to run me down what he will be doing with her. When I picked her up she looked AMAZING and smelt even better. Julio told me how she was during every step. He told me things he noticed (such as which paws she did not like being picked up, etc.). My pup has been known to not let the vet look in her ears so I wasnt expecting much to be done there, with Julio's magic touch and patience, he was able to clean out her ears! Dont walk, RUN to Mau's house to have your dog groomed.

Love this place. We wouldn't trust our Boris with anyone else.

We LOVE Mau's House! Our poodle pup started going here for groomings as soon as his hair was long enough. Julio and Lisette have been super patient and kind with our Fred. They are flexible and reliable with the humans (me and my husband), and attentive and sweet with our pooch. We called around when we first got Fred and their prices are really comparable to others in and around the neighborhood (south loop) - and honestly the type of service appears superior - making this spot a great value! We love Maus House and will never take our pooch anywhere else.

Julio is a great dog groomer. We went to him when he was at Kriser's and I am so glad that he struck out on his own independently! He's is great with my pup, has flexible scheduling, and is exceptional at what he does.

We can't say enough great things about Mau's House! Our lab is not the best subject for a groom (he hates water/being wet and barks the whole time to let you know). We've taken him to so many places where he can't wait to leave and whenever …

Julio is the best! I have an anxious rescue dog, and Julio is so gentle and kind with her that she actually loves going!

This place is awesome!!! I LOVE the groomers. I have a difficult dog to groom. He becomes very aggressive with other groomers but with them, they are able to get the job done. They take their time and let him get comfortable before attempting to do any work. I used to be a client at an old location and followed them here because they are THAT GOOD!

The best!! Julio has a knack for dogs - he always remembers us and both of our dogs (and their funny personalities) immediately. I took our little pitbull, Zoey, in for a bath and nails today, and I have never seen her so clean. She's so soft and fresh and happy! And she didn't want to leave after I checked out, so I'm guessing she enjoyed it, lol! I'm also impressed by the price, and the fact that it included teeth and ears. Every bath should include the works as far as I'm concerned! Less thinking, more enjoying a clean pup. Needless to say, I think this is the gold standard. Thanks!

We’ve been going to Lisette and Julio for grooming appointments for almost two years. We’re so happy they’ve opened their own shop! They’re absolutely amazing! They took such a great care of my two Bichons. My babies always come out of there all clean and cute.

We have gotten our dog’s haircuts from Julio for a few years at this point and will continue to even after we move away from the neighborhood. Our dog doesn’t let most other groomers get near him, but is simply HAPPY to hang with the folks here for a few hours. That should say it all!

Julio and Lisette are amazing! So proud of them for opening their own shop..LOVE that! Will definitely be bringing my boys back for future grooms!
