UPDATE: Unfortunately, I had to have Mel groom Kodiak this time. She was awful, it was $145 and I will have to brush and groom him again at home! Wait for Francesca, she’s the only one that’s got it right. Francesca is amazing! She groomed my Akita, Kodiak and did an incredible job!!

Marco is amazing! He’s very accommodating and my Pomeranian loves him!

We bring our dog Dexter here for grooming with Marco who is definitely 5 stars!! Dexter is good boy but a rescue who suffers from anxiety and Marco takes his time and is excellent with him. I highly recommend Marco for grooming at Krisers on State St. for anyone that may need it!

I come here for food, treats, and grooming. My dog and I love Marco! My dog has anxiety and even though he knows he will be cared for, he always is skittish when he comes in. Marco takes him, always does a great job grooming and when I get him back (although Marco may not be able to tell) he's always a bit calmer. That only happens if my dog calms with the person. I'm truly happy to have him as my groomer!

The store is amazing the staff is not as great as they were a year ago

The best store, ever! I go there with my pup who is in training, and everyone loves him. Everyone at the store is super duper nice and friendly. One of them also dog-sits my pup and she's awesome. Although the store is a bit too hot during the summer, they always leave out fresh cool water for the dogs. They have a great selection of natural treats and doggy food.

They sell only the best for your fur babies

The people behind the counter are very friendly when management is present, very, VERY disengaged when alone.

I've been coming here to get my dog groomed for a couple years now, and it's always been a little expensive but I thought they did an alright job. Now I'm rethinking. I asked for a bath, a trim, and a deshedding treatment. He didn't get trimmed at all, and he most likely got a bath because he smells good. I'm uncertain on the deshedder, because a few hours after I got home he already had clumps of shedded hair stuck in his fur. I understand that they can't really control how much he sheds, but considering that if I were to brush him at home and it would last longer than a paid "deshedding" service, I will no longer be coming into this shop to get him groomed. I'll just do it at home. That, and they brought me the wrong dog when I came in to pick him up.

I have lived in Chicago for a bit over 10 years. I have always come back to the Kriser’s brand and specifically the location in State and 11th. Love them for trimming my dogs nails. They always take care of him! You even get rewards when you stick with them and my nail trim was free today! Good people. Good service.

Our pup loves it here. If we’re on that side of the street, he is dragging us to get us in. They always have fresh water and special snacks for him, and give him so much attention. He absolutely loses his mind with excitement in there! They are also always well stocked. There’s only been one time they didn’t have what I needed but they had it in later that same day for me.

We absolutely love this location. We have had the best customer service and both our dogs really love to visit. Francesca has went above and beyond to make sure Tobias has the best experience when getting groomed. All of the groomers and staff here are excellent and I can not recommend them enough. Kriser's State Street (Chicago) location is the best! The Managers (Ashley and Laura) are efficient, professional and always accommodating to customer requests. They have graciously handled special orders for me of a high-end raw dog food (Answers Detailed) for my show dogs, with timely follow up to ensure my requests are met. I highly recommend this store and thank them for their excellent service and welcoming attitude!

This store is a convenience. The dog foods may only be similar to what is being sought, so it will serve its purpose. There may not be dog toothbrushes, but a form of dog oral care will be available. When shopping in this store, it's best to be flexible and not be disappointed if the specific item sought isn't available.

My pups has always exhibited extreme anxiousness while being around other pups and most definitely the sound of the infamous fur blow dryer! Over the years, it has been a challenge to find a genuine heart warming welcome and safe groom shop environment. It is not until my pups stepped paw into this shop and into the hands of our attentive and exceptional groomer Marco that he felt at ease for once in his privileged pup life. Marco and Kriser’s , we cannot thank you enough for making our experience undoubtedly the best in town!

We love this Kriser’s and visit at least once per month! I take my two pups here for nail trims and Julio is their favorite groomer. He always takes time to say hello and make us feel welcomed. More importantly, he genuinely cares about my pups and always treats them like his own. The manager, Laura, is always around to give pets and snuggles to each pup as they take turns having their nails done and she always has treats ready! We love coming here and always have the best experience. Highly recommend!

Preformed great cut on miniature shnowzer...first time experience they asked me any critical points to improve. I discussed my goal for his look..i like their recommendation....will be back

Although we regularly visit this Kriser's store, always leaving with everything we need and then some, I wanted to write this review to say what a lovely experience we had recently with Ashley. Our pup has been experiencing some GI issues and overall was not feeling her best. When we came in to talk about food options, Ashley went above and beyond to help us--from listening to me going on and on about how I think I could supplement by cooking for my dog, to walking me through what the various terms and conditions mean for different types of food. Now, my pup is so excited to eat every time we feed her and I am able to use some of the produce that my partner and I weren't getting through in our typical week. Thank you, Ashley! Couldn't recommend our experience with you and this store in general more highly.

I love the convenience of this shop, of course, but I also love that my dog comes back to me smelling clean and sweet. And she seems to get a lot of love and attention while she's there.

Just took our dog, Piper, for a groom with Tristan and she looks amazing! Tristan did such a fantastic job. We’ve been to about 4 or 5 groomers in the past few years and this is the best cut Piper has had. Really smooth drop-off and pick-up process too.

DOES NOT OFFER CURBSIDE PICKUP. Never again. I will not be shopping here ever again. Shame, lying and gaslighting your customers over the phone is ridiculous. Not giving me a refund confirmation is ridiculous, and then holding my money for days is ridiculous. And no, I will not be seeing that money for at least 17 days. 3 days for refund to be processed through service I used, and then 14 days for service I used to refund me. Corporate has been contacted in regards to the behavior of this business and a team of people are reviewing their behavior at this location. Update: company lied and said they refunded. Corporate demanded the company refund me today. Now I will receive my refund 17-19 days from now, at the fastest. Ordered on July 15, 2020 Company lied about cancelling on July 18, 2020 Talked to corporate on July 19, 2020 Talked to corporate again on July 23, 2020 Refund actually issued on July 23, 2020 Received refund email confirmation on July 23, 2020 I will update when I actually receive the refund.

Marco is THE absolute best groomer... our dog is 10 years old and has always had major anxiety going to the groomers. Marco is seriously the first one in a decade she trusts. He is so patient, attentive and flexible with their routine to help her feel comfortable. We are so grateful and lucky to have him in the neighborhood, we’d seriously drive across town for him if we had to! All of the staff at the store are great too. We appreciate you all so much!

Francesca does an amazing job with my dog’s grooms. Penny is a maltipoo and Francesca is kind to her and just makes her look adorable. Very happy with our experience here.

Love the staff and grooming. Julio is our guy and our dog loves him. However disappointed in the assortment of trays on the shelf. Some of the favorites are no longer there like the K9 Gronola banana chips and cookies and the bocce”s bakery birthday cake and banana split fun treats. Buyers get 2 stars.

I have been a loyal customer for 11 years. Every experience has been a positive one for both Fahey and Jack. Both of my guys have enjoyed years of great grooming appointments and wonderful food and toys. Alex , our Groomer, always greets Jack as if he was her own (and he really likes her too). The store team is always friendly and goes out of their way to help.
