I want to thank K9 University and in particular Joshua, Laura and Ruby for taking care of my dog as part of their family. I had to leave her in her care for several weeks and every day I received video, photos, we were always in contact. …

My dog seems to like it and like the staff there. So if he likes it I like. It's a nice place. There was an incident that happened not too bad but Kathy called me and was concerned about the incident that happened and cleared everything up for me. I appreciate Kathy for even calling back to let me know everything is ok and everything will be OK moving forward. I'm happy about that!

This is the first time I've left my pup in daycare and boarding and he loves it! I always look forward to his report card along with a picture and videos playing with his new friends. The staff are very friendly and know exactly how to handle your furry ones. Best part is that after just one day of my pup being there, they already knew him by name. AMAZING place!!

Love the staff here! They are passionate about dog training and committed to providing the utmost best service. I brought my boys here for a board-and-train and then attended the Train-the-trainer sessions. Cheyenne is fantastic! And really knows her stuff!

I signed my Saint Berdoodle(Saint Bernard mixed with a Standard Poodle) puppy up for a 10 day board and train. Tyson was assigned to Pablo, and I couldn’t be happier! Pablo has such an amazing commanding presence and he engaged with Tyson instantly. Pablo took the time to show me around the facility and explained multiple things to me on our first day. He took the time to get to know Tyson before I left him there with him and that made me more comfortable. Pablo asked me what are the top 6 things I want Tyson to learn, and I explained to him everything that I was having trouble with and let me tell you…10 Days later Tyson is a completely different puppy in the best way! It was extremely hard for me to leave my little boy for 10 days but Pablo reassure me with mutuel videos and pictures throughout the day. I received at minimum 3 videos/photos a day. They made me so happy to see my little guy interacting and learning. Pablo did an amazing job with Tyson and I trust him with my boy wholeheartedly! On day 10 I came to pick my boy up and I was totally surprised! Pablo took additional hour and a half to teach me the importance of mentally stimulating Tyson by making him work for EVERYTHING! Pablo also took me and Tyson out for a walk to teach me how to walk Tyson appropriately. He taught me that the walk is for the dog, not for me! Allow Tyson to sniff around because the nose is important for a animal to use. Pablo taught me how to have a commanding presence with Tyson. I’m extremely grateful and thankful for all the hard work that Pablo and the rest of the team put in to help Tyson. Thank you all!

My dog was a rescue with severe separation anxiety and aggressive tendencies due to her fear of dogs and some people. Cheyenne was AMAZING and texted me updates and videos throughout the entire month board & train. My dog is home now and doing so well, remembering what she practiced and seeming a lot happier and more confident. Cheyenne has also helped me immensely with my handling skills and the dos and donts of working with a high-maintence dog. I couldn't recommend her enough!

I took my mature, trained Rottweiler to K9 University to further refine his training. Naturally, he is very protective. However, he needed to learn to be less aggressive in certain situations and when commanded. He received excellent training and care while boarded at K9. I received daily reports, videos and pictures detailing his progress. Every time I visited Vinny, Pablo and Jasmin would spend as much time as needed with me, to ensure I could continue the training when my Rottie came home. My pets’ trainers, Pablo and Jasmin Maldonado were beyond exceptional! I could not be more pleased with the results. In addition, the entire staff displayed a true concern for all the pets in their care. I highly recommend K9 University for your pets needs.

THANK YOU, CHEYENNE!! I have been struggling with training issues with my dog for awhile. He is an extremely reactive dog, sensitive to loud noises, sudden movements, and especially reactive with other dogs, people, and children. He was recently attacked by a stranger dog which made his reactivity & aggression even worse. I looked into training with K9 University and found Cheyenne Twoaxe to be super understanding and willing to assist with my dog. I had her train with my dog for a 3 week board & train, and I cannot believe the work she did with my dog! He is truly a changed dog! She worked on numerous commands, as well as strengthening his recall — all while lessening his reactivity triggers. She also made sure she understood my dog’s sensitivity and personality & knew when to take things slower to properly fit his needs. I received daily updates from her and the other staff members so I always knew my pup was in great care! He is now able to walk near people with little to no reaction (huge step), and play with some other dogs! Something I never thought would be possible for him. If you are struggling with finding a trainer who understands both you and your dog, Cheyenne is the one for you!!

Cheyenne has trained both of my dogs and I am so grateful for her expertise. My GSD had trained with her from 4 months - 16 months and my Eskie has trained with her for the last 4 months and I couldn't be happier with the training they have received from her!

I needed private lessons because of my work schedule and they where very flexible. I have a Belgium malinois and they sent me Prentice who has a very good understanding of the breed. From just one session i got the skills necessary to work on obedience with my pup. He was professional and fun to work with. Thanks again for the help and i will set up more classes when ready to get more advanced training!

Shoutout to their new trainer Prentice Kidd. When I came to him, my dog was extremely reactive to other dogs and wouldn't acknowledge me at all on walks. After only 6 sessions with him, I have a COMPLETELY different dog. He's been calm on elevators with other dogs, doesn't pull on the leash when we walk, and checks in with me even if I don't have food with me. I am so happy with my dogs progress and am so grateful for Prentice's help!

My husband and I became interested in doing a board and train program for our 11 mo old golden retriever, after we saw how much it helped my brothers dog. We really were at our wits end between our two small kids and the huge challenge of training a dog. We had done puppy training classes with him bf bringing him to k9 university, but w little results. We looked into several places and really wanted to find the right fit. I am so incredibly happy, that after I spoke w PRENTICE KIDD, I just felt he was trainer we wanted. He was committed, enthusiastic, and absolutely assured he could help,…..and he absolutely did!!! After doing 2 week board and train w him, our puppy, and are home are completely changed, and enjoyable. I can not tell you how thankful I am to him, we finally have the family dog we wanted, and a much better bond w our puppy. We were absolutely in over our heads, and I am not exaggerating, Prentice saved our family. (Or at least my mental stability). Absolutely worth every penny! If you are in a similar situation and questioning, please do yourself the favor and look no further. Thank you Prentice and k9 university ????

Cheyenne was my babies home away from home! She kept us updated on Bozz and how he was doing in training. I was a little apprehensive about leaving him but those fears went away fast. Cheyenne gave me the confidence to be a good pet mommy I will be going back for doggie play dates. Thank you K-9 university and CHEYENNE YOU ROCK!!!!

Avoid at all costs. They are not transparent about what goes on at their facility. I took my dog there when he was a puppy and really liked one of the trainers so began sending him to daycare. No major issues when sending him to daycare but just a bunch of little things that seemed off. One day a dog died in their care while at daycare and they never notified clients about what happened and deleted all their socials. As a client, it would have been nice for them to have sent an email explaining exactly what happened and what was going to be changed. However, I think the dog's death was a symptom of a much larger problem so I don't recommend at all. They may be cheap, but your dog's safety isn't worth the risk.

Prentice is the man!…. the 4 training sessions we did with Capone changed for the better, I mean I couldn’t walk him without him knocking me down trying to chase after anything that moved in front of him, he escaped our yard twice and would get so worked up when someone will walk by with their dog, he would leash pull… a lot! basically our walks wasn’t our favorite thing to do, when we met Prentice for an evaluation he was professional and basically told us we’ve spoiled Capone and that’s why he acts the way he does, me and my husband didn’t even realize we were creating this monster, needless to say Prentice came to the rescue. Capone is such a completely different dog now, we can now enjoy being in the back yard without him barking/running towards others walking with their dog he sits right next to us, he’s more calmer and the walks?????? Are a breeze!! He pays attention to us now and not was around him. We are happy with our sessions definitely will recommend to others. We did the one on one training and I felt it helped a lot with training at home and bond with Capone. We are happy we made the right choice in bringing him to K9. As for Prentice he will be the next Cesar Millan, you heard it here first!!

We came here with our two puppies for puppy socialization. As we were leaving through the lobby at the end of the session, a dog from the kennel area managed to make it into the front lobby unleashed. As I was walking out the door, with one of our puppies outside of the door and one of our puppies inside, a worker shut the door on my leash so that the dog that had gotten loose could be caught. Our boy puppy was stuck outside, and we could hear the train coming. He is scared of loud noises like the train and I was afraid he would break free from his leash and run away. Luckily, I was able to get to him before the train arrived but it was nerve racking. I'll never bring my dogs back here again.

My puppy started attending puppy playtime (first 3 sessions are free!) at 10 wks old, and loved it so much. At 4 months, she started intermittently attending daycare when we had busy workdays, and comes home absolutely wiped out. At 6 months, she's about to graduate their beginner agility class taught by Grace, who is SO great at teaching and explaining how I can better communicate with my dog. Because of K9U, I know my girl has a great foundation to build upon her training.

Update: I was told that only dogs who live together are caged together. So the owner must have signed off on these dogs being caged together. When I was there for a puppy playgroup I could see the cages for many other dogs. A few cages had dogs that were not paired well. One cage in particular was distressing. The dog was clearly getting bullied and kept running to the corners of the cage to escape the other dog. No one came to remove them for over an hour. I don't know if this was a board and train situation or a day care thing but I wouldn't be happy leaving my dogs here. Plus I heard they also killed a dog by leaving him in a van in summer.

Cannot recommend less due to safety issues. We’ve sent both our dogs to daycare. Our smallest was constantly coming back stressed and we kept asking them not to cage her with dogs that were aggressive in our building. Shocker they kept doing it constantly. We decided to stop sending her after the new pick up person seemed incompetent and distressing. We were appalled to learn that the last day we sent her was the day after they negligently killed a dog by leaving it in a hot van. The same person responsible picked our dog up the next day. They said nothing, issued no statement to daycare customers, and have since positioned themselves as incompetent and without remorse. DO NOT SEND YOUR DOGS

I did puppy plan here and while it was okay since I was present I noticed things that seemed off…. Dogs constantly barking in kennels in back and no one coming in and out of their to check or allow them out. It was small area and also not fully inside as it was a warehouse type structure which didn’t really control heat or cold … plus I recently heard they killed a dog so run run far away I’m glad I didn’t place my dog here in day care as I contemplated

They killed a dog under their care by leaving it in a van in 90 degree weather for hours (see the news articles). Before that we sent our lab to them and on the 2nd or 3rd visit he got home with bleeding open wounds they never informed us about. There are dozens of these stories so I’m guessing they pay for these google reviews. Watch out for your puppers!!

Facility allowed a dog to die of heatstroke in June 2021. Please don't bring your furbabies here.

I called to get information about the board and trade that some of the customs wrote great reviews about and the woman who answered the phone only gave me information about the group classes. I was impressed by your 25 years of service to the canine world and I was planning to bring my puppy there for school !
