I don’t recommend this grooming salon They shaved my baby Archie so bad that he has been crying for two days I had to take him to the vet. Here are the pictures so you can see for yourselves and he hasn’t stopped shaking so god only knows how they must treat them behind closed doors I will never go there again no animal should be treated in this way. I can’t even touch him because he is in pain I would’ve given this establishment a zero but had to click a star in order to leave my review how sad.

They cut my dogs nails and they didn’t cut it right and now both to his nails are bleeding and I needed to put him a bandage

I have taken my dog here a few times. The first time was great had no issues. The last time I took him there for a haircut they ended cutting him twice under his armpit. He was bleeding and limping. We took him right away to the vet and I was told he had two deep cuts down to his muscle. He needed 5 staples to close his cuts. My husband and I were so upset! It took my baby two weeks to heal. The only positive from this situation is that they took responsibility for their mistake and apologized. They did pay the vet bill which they should have since this happened because of them. Due to this I will not be bringing my baby boy back to this groomer. My dog is my baby and this broke my heart. Thankfully, he is fully healed now.

Hector used to care he has new staff they cut my dog nail where to the point when I picked my dog he was still bleeding. I personally told Hector the situation and his response was their are more places. Instead of saying sorry we will be more careful next time. Not sure if a coincidence but the same thing happen to my sister's dog cut a little piece of his ear. WOW pretty scary I tell you.

I do not recommend this place. I been taking my dog here a few times, I took him a couple days ago and I didn’t notice but when I got home he could barely open his left eye. It started getting watery and and it just kept getting worse after that. I had to take him to the emergency vet and they informed me he had a scratch on his cornea. He’s on antibiotics for the next 2 weeks. Please do not take your pet here!! If I could rate it zero stars I would.

My first time taking my dog here today. What they offer at $40 is a great value. However, my dog's face (in between his eyes) looked scraped when I picked him up and the man looked offended when I asked what happened. His nails are still way too long (the man said he didn't want to cut them too short and make them bleed). He normally get his nails filed and grinded and we've never had a problem with bleeding. Not the best first visit experience for us so we won't be back. If you haven't already, try One Lucky Puppy on North Ave and Ridgeland in Chicago. They are reasonable and do an EXCELLENT job. Best grooming my dog has ever had! They just don't take Senior dogs anymore. ????

Very unprofessional, they had cut my dog and when I mentioned that I seen her bleeding the owner himself told me that there was other places if I wanted to go to them

I have mixed feelings about this place! I started going here because it’s so much cheaper than every other place I called (& I called a lot of them) They do a pretty decent job with my girls! Most times they do a really good job though there is no consistency anymore with the employees. I have to explain the issue with one of my dog’s raised cyst. Last employee (a girl who was only there a few months) cut into my dog’s cyst so she was bleeding & in pain when I picked her up & then for days after! Now that their prices have gone up to be the same as other places in Oak Park, I’m not so sure it’s worth going there! The owner Hector, is really quite unfriendly and never smiles. When I first took my dogs, he was friendly enough and allowed me to pay with a check. A year later, I paid him with a check because I forgot my credit card and he said, “do you have funds because I don’t want this check to bounce!; we don’t take checks!” ???????????? I’ve been going here for years with my two poodles… never ever been late once… this time I got stuck in traffic & they wanted to charge me $20-25!!!!! “We close promptly at 5p”!!! I thought I’d be 5 minutes late but luckily, I walked in at 4:58p!!! So they didn’t charge me!

Don’t waste you time calling yo see if they’re still taking dogs, b/c when you get there they let you stand there and sign in and state they aren’t taking dogs anymore. They DO NOT do appointments. If you want to speak to the owner, they say they can’t give you his name and number.

Been going here for a while and while times during covid are a lot slower, i had to wait 5 hours for my dog to get his hair cut, which he didn’t even end up getting. Initially when i got there at 9:50 they said it was a three hour wait which is overall understandable and when i called three hours later to receive an update, they told me he wasn't ready for another 2 hours, which really made me question why would they tell me three hours initially thinking when in reality would take much longer? They could have just told me they wouldn’t attend my dog until a certain time instead of leaving him locked up in a cage during such weather for 3-4 hours. when i arrived to pick him up, they hadn’t even started on him because they had skipped over me and three other customers and attended people who arrived much later, to my surprise. They don’t do appointments but will skip over you even if you been there at the earliest, which doesn’t make sense to me at all. Overall unreliable and will be finding elsewhere to take my dog for his grooming needs.

I love it they always know how to care for my dogs and yes they say “the dogs didn’t let them cut hair” but it’s true you can’t blame them for YOUR dog’s bahaver.

Did a great job on my chihuahuas

Very pleased! My fur baby came out looking so nice after his first visit at Hector's Grooming. They were friendly and prompt not to mention reasonably priced. I liked that the pricing was listed on the wall and you can even select certain services versus getting the full wash and cut service if you don't need it. This is my new go to place. Just be sure to get there early as they seem to be very busy.

I love that they do not require appointments. It was over a month wait at other salons. They did a good job and asked what kind of cut I wanted for my shih tzu. Great value cut. Would recommend!

I love how they took good care of my babies. The grooming was awesome!!

Worst place ever took my husky they shaved him all the way down and left. The tail fluffy went for a haircut not a shave went from a husky to a shaved goat looks disgusting.

They did a good job on my little buddy it was my first time going there and the prices are very reasonable and they said 1 hour and it was 1 hour so I definitely will be going there from now on

My absolute favorite grooming facility the staff is friendly and the service is fantastic! They do such a great job with my fur baby! The price is very reasonable and they take walk ins even though I still call in advance to see what their availability is at the moment. Highly recommend!
