I previously added my experience with this rescue but it was removed. I was interested in a pup I saw on WGN and inquired about her via email. I was informed she was not yet available for adoption and she should be on the website the beginning of the coming week. I filled out an application for her and I stead of putting a pup that was on the website, I wrote in my interest in the pup I wanted to adopt. Long story short, she was never put on the website, because I kept checking. On Wednesday I received an email that stated she was already adopted. That was pretty shady and my guess is she was adopted by a staff member or friend of one. I'm grateful the pup was adopted, but upset that I had not even been interviewed for the pup or considered. I was experienced in the pups breed and would have provided a wonderful home and excellent care, but they didn't even take the time to talk to me.

Always good to go to few shelters before choosing a dog as you can meet more breeds and expand your options, that's if you are not sure what dog to get.. this was one of the places we checked out.. very impressed!!

This rescue is amazing! They did a wonderful job in making sure our dog was a good match for the dog we were interested in, they answered all our questions and concerns thoroughly, and were very friendly! Definitely a rescue we would come back to if we ever wanted to adopt another dog.

I volunteer dog walk a few times per month....staff very pleasant and accommodating. They love their dogs and so do I !

My family and I went here to find a dog to add to our family. We found one we fell in love with and came to the rescue three separate times just to see and walk the dog before they finally allowed us to schedule an interview. Prior to the interview they encouraged us to buy a collar, harness and leash that would fit the dog to bring in to the interview which obviously got all of our hopes up. When we came in for the interview they spoke to us for about 10 minutes, let us sit and play with the dog by ourselves for about 15 minutes, and then came back to tell us they weren't letting us adopt the dog. After approving our application, we were obviously shocked and heartbroken by this. We went from being a great fit for this dog to them taking her away from us within seconds, and that's something I wouldn't wish upon anyone. They got our hopes up and made this a terrible experience.
