I have been going to this vet office since around 2001. Dr Adam Thomas used to be a vet here and he was phenomenal. I always felt good knowing that my cats were in his care. After Dr Thomas left, it didn't seem the same. But I have to say that the vets that my cats have seen since then are still really good and very knowledgeable. I have most of my experience with Dr Olson and Dr Vlahos. I'm not sure about the other ones. All in all, this is a really good vet office. I have yet to find a better one.

Scheduled an appointment that they knew was an emergency and then out of nowhere they canceled the appointment without calling me. When I called and asked about it they continued to lie to me saying they did contact but that’s odd given I have zero missed calls from anyone. This place doesn’t care about your pet at all, they just want your money. STAY AWAY!

Have always taken great care of my XL dogs! Dr B is her favorite, but every vet there wins Ollie over once she meets them. Also a huge fan of the paw plan there which allows routine visits for a monthly fee.

This was my first time coming here, I couldn’t get an appt with my regular vet, I was blessed there was a cancellation here. My little Yorkie has an allergy and was miserable, scratching and biting himself. I can truthfully say I was pleased with the entire visit. From the pleasant staff at the front desk to Dr. Bruederle who embraced my little Yorkie Tyler with care and concern. Dr. Bruederle was very friendly, it’s evident he loves animals, he smiled all while examining my little Tyler, he took time explaining and giving me advice that my other vet of 3 years never mentioned, not once did I feel Tyler was RUSHED through his appt. This is NOW my little Tyler’s new hospital.

Moved to the area and was recommended this place. Great staff, fairly quick response time between initial exam and when the doctor came in. They do offer options depending on your budget.

We just moved out to Chicago a few weeks back and wanted to establish our dog at a vet close by. Burnham Park Animal Hospital addressed all of our concerns and completed a very professional check-up of our dog. Just a few days later though, our dog had an issue that needed emergency medical care, and through a cancellation, they were able to get us in same-day. Everything about this vet and Dr. B in particular makes me no longer dread bringing our dog to the vet, and I can see us coming back for regular check-ups and tech appointments for a long time.

We adopted our first pup and needed to schedule a vet visit. Found Burnham Park through a google search and made an appointment. The office was nice, clean, and bright. The staff were courtesy and professional. And the doctor, very knowledgeable and interactive. Was very patient in answering all of our questions. They even called to check on our Gunnar (he was prescribed antibiotics during the visit).

Really bad experience. We got an appointment last Friday, and wait in a small, poorly ventilated room for almost for 1 hour without any idea when my dog will be seen. I had to talk to the font desk to ask about what is going on, and was told that they have a walk-in emergency. The front desk said that they will check and let me know. But they did not and I had to ask for the 2nd time. The front desk directly asked my to tell-schedule. I am fine and actually happy to let the vets deal with the emergency first. But, they should have let me know what's going on to let me decide if I'm going to wait or re-schedule, instead of doing nothing and keeping me waiting in that poorly ventilated room for a long time. It was Friday, a work day. It was raining. So, my dog was not seen. The front desk promised that Dr. B, the head of the hospital, will call me Monday about this issue and re-schedule. But did NOT! I called back and got informed that Dr. B is busy and will call Tuesday. But, it is vey likely that Dr. B will not call even Tuesday. The whole story just makes me realize how disrespectful the hospital is. Who is not busy making a living? People give up work to go out on a rainy day just to get the dog seen by the doctor, and they have to pay a good amount of money to get the dog seen. What? They are not busy?

The staff and vets are Burnham Park are the best. They care, and they work hard to make sure that everyone is taken care of. I’ve taken all of my dogs to this place over the years and have been so happy with our experiences.

My pup had been suffering from severe diarrhea so I brought her in. I was called back about 5 minutes after I checked in (which was great since I checked in a little early). Dr. Philips examined my dog and was quick and also very detailed. She gave me recommendations for a new food/diet which I ended up purchasing. She also prescribed some medication and gave me information about how to put a stop to the diarrhea issues through other techniques. I was in and out within 30 minutes and the bill was super affordable.

Dr. V is thorough in explaining everything that he is doing with our two cats which is extremely important to me. He is kind, caring and compassionate. I would always recommend him to anyone. Burnham as a whole is also great! The secretaries in the front are helpful and nice.its a quick in and out for us always. Their prices are reasonable and they don't try to talk you into anything you are not comfortable with. Burnham validates parking for those that need it!

Dr. Vaziri was amazing! She took the time to walk through the current food i'm feeding my puppy and gave suggestions for a new food that would help with digestion issues. I could tell how passionate she is about animals and here advice was extremely helpful.

Love Burhnam Park Animal Hospital. I've been taking my pets there for 15 years, and the doctors are all amazing, they have great hours and the whole staff are all so compassionate.

Dr. Bruederle and the staff at Burnham Park Animal Hospital really helped us out when we were in a tough spot. We had to make last-minute plans to travel to the UK with our cat (via France) while his regular vet was on vacation. We called 8 different vets around Chicago, and none of them would see our cat to complete the relevant health certificates in time – but Burnham Park had almost immediate availability. The staff provided information promptly on the phone, and once at the clinic Dr. Bruederle was handled our cat with great care. He gave great travel advice and we had no trouble crossing into France and then into the UK with the certificates they prepared. Thank you!

Pros - decently priced for the area, seem to be great (at least better) with smaller animals Cons - indifferent customer service, I’m not even sure they did what I paid for??? They’re just okay. The front desk staff isn’t explicitly rude, but also lack good customer service. I waited for approx 20 mins after my appointment ended after getting no direction or clarification that the appointment was even over (I was owed a topical treatment. Didn’t know if it was supposed to be brought to me in the exam room or I was to retrieve it from the front desk). After deciding to wait in the lobby by the desk I still wasn’t acknowledged. Finally, I decided to speak up to ask what my next steps were while the customer standing in the front was filling out paper work and front desk assoc was waiting to retrieve his documents. Instead of her responding in a way that acknowledged my time (seeing as at this point I had been at the office for over an hour) she replied in way that made me feel as if I was the rude one for interrupting her. I understand how hectic their days must be, but all in all, 200 dollars later I didn’t feel like it was a quality experience. I was able to talk to the vet about some of my concerns, was given a topical spray, but still don’t know what his overall health is (made a wellness appt to evaluate the overall health yet all I was told at the end of my appointment was ‘he let us administer the rabies shot, but wouldn’t let us do the rest. you’ll have to return for the rest.’ The way this was communicated to me felt like the actual exam (which is a separate price from the vaccine) was a quick, unthorough, or possibly not done at all.

I took my dog here for a visit today. Front desk person checking us in (Sophia) had a negative attitude. It was my first time today, so I had some questions, and every time I asked a question, she seemed annoyed. She also insisted I hold my dog while I give her all the necessary paperwork, and I felt so unorganized, rushed, and uncomfortable. It was clear she did not want to be working there. Dr. B, however, was very thorough with his exams and conservative with his approach to diagnosis. All the other assistants were also very helpful and nice.

Linnea Olson was very friendly and knowledgeable and didn't hide any fees or charge anything that I didn't ask for. I give the place 4 stars though because it is not wheelchair accessible. I brought my cat in a cat stroller, so my 9 year old had to help me carry it up the stairs. Even for people that bring their cats in cat crates, those things can be heavy, so going up stairs is not ideal!

This is by far the best veterinarian in the city or suburbs. They are ahead of current procedures and medications. I have been bringing my pets here since they opened over 20 years ago and have had 100 percent positive experiences. Everyone I recommend this place too is so happy. I wouldn't trust my babies anywhere else. Dr. B is the best of the best and his staff and other vets are top notch.

BP has been taking excellent, thorough care of our Golden Retrievers since 2008. We wouldn't think of leaving this amazing practice. We consider ourselves blessed for their remarkable work!

Burnham Park Hospital provides outstanding care. The practice has both medical expertise and excellent relationship skills. My French bulldog feels very comfortable about visits to this welcoming office and their gentle ways of handling him. I highly recommend this hospital.

Extremely fast. Could not get an appointment for my sick cat ANYWHERE else. I heard Burhnam was good but I will actually say they are GREAT. And while they may cost a tiny bit more than other places, I feel the quality of their service outweighs the cost.

I have been to Burnham many times. I recommend Burnham based on the excellent service that I have received, the quality of their veterinarians/veterinary staff, the long hours the hospital keeps, the cleanliness of the facility, and the ease of making an appointment. I have not had a bad experience yet. The two vets I see are Dr. Phillips and Dr. Vlahos. They always take their time to address all my questions, are great about following up, provide thorough examinations and recommendations, etc. The hospital is nice and clean. It has actually been newly remodeled. Sometimes you have to wait a bit to see a doctor after you come in but when I had an urgent matter they were able to see me that day so I don't mind being patient if they have to squeeze an appointment in around me due to an emergency. The staff are doing the best they can to accommodate everyone; some grace goes a long way during these trying times. If you want to be seen right away it is probably best to schedule an appointment time that is first thing in the morning. It is very easy to make an appointment on their website and you can schedule an appointment up to about a month out. I have never seen a non-emergency vet clinic that keeps the hours they do; 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs and various hours on the weekend as well! Also, the vets themselves perform teeth cleanings which is something I have also not experienced in the past (my former vet office used a pet dental technician). Of course I would rather have a licensed veterinarian cleaning my pet's teeth! I believe this hospital offers very good value given its location in the city. You get what you pay for.

Had the opportunity to see Dr. Jimenez. Myself and my pup loved her! Caring, attentive, and knowledgeable she made me feel confident that the care we received at Burnham Park was nothing short of exceptional. We will definitely be back again!
