Bamboozled me. Went n expecting $80 "puppy package", walked out w $160something bill. The vet treated me like a city slicker, convincing me I needed to get my puppy the rattle snake vaccine, $30 ear flush that couldn't b ordered offline, neither could future heartworm pills that I found for $26 less. Didn't like I felt taken advantage of.

Do NOT bring your pet to Central Hospital for Animals. As our primary vet, they were no help when our dog was unexpectedly sick. She had large amounts of blood in her stool and was miserable. I called the office because I was terribly worried. The office staff was very rude. Without seeing my dog or her bloody stool sample, they instructed me to give her Pepto Bismol. When I brought in a stool sample, they never called back. It was me that had to call back hours later and check. I requested a refund because at that point I was determined to find a vet that would actually see her. Of course, they weren’t going to do that. Meanwhile, our poor dog was suffering. Finally - when I stopped by to pick up an antibiotic, they had prescribed her 2 different medications, both at a dosage for dogs 4x her weight. Thank God I got a second opinion - they would’ve overdosed her! Never once did I speak to a doctor, I was exclusively talked down to and was given misinformation by the office staff. If your pet is ever unexpectedly sick, don’t count on these people to help you or even care. There are far better vet clinics in the area.

I couldn't find a better place to bring my kitty Stella. We are always treated with respect and Dr Kline is patient and understanding with all my questions and will always find away in which to dialogue with me if I don't at first understand her instructions . Thank You!!

My husband and I are in the animal rescue world and have 5 dogs. We have been going to Dr. Kayne for 10+ years when it comes to our furbabies. Dr. Kayne has gone above and beyond, and you know she cares when she gets down on the floor with your pet, and takes her time, very thorough. We have thrown at her a couple of tough dog cases as rescue dogs can need a little work, and she always called and kept us informed and what the best plan should be. She has saved so many of ours dogs, and we will see no one but her, even though the other vets are fine. The staff really care about the animals and call our dogs by name when we come in, they just care, plain and simple. Keep up the great work. Thank you DR. KAYNE AND STAFF ????.

I had been a great customer here 5 years ago, moved back to this area and took my dogs there for a vet/grooming appointment, that I had set up in advance, and called ahead to make sure it was all a go. Got there and the experience was horrible. I was told they needed vet records, then learned they had not even called my little dogs vet. $417.00 dollars later, and not even groomed. I asked to speak to the office manager and was told she was unavailable I asked to speak to the vet and was told they were in emergency surgery...then who saw my dogs and gave them vaccines and examined them?..what a terrible experience!!!!!

I've been using this group of veterinarians for more than five years. They're great! I definitely recommend them.

Just love this office. Everyone is always nice, they took care of our old furbaby until she passed and now they are helping us with our new rescue puppy and a rescue kitten. Thank you for caring.

Called first thing when they opened to get my 3 month old Pomeranian in, which as it turned out had a broken leg in two places, and was told they had no openings and there was no way they could squeeze him in. Reception was rude about it, first said they don’t do emergency visits, then proceeded to tell me there was nothing they could do help.. proceeded to cancel every vaccination appointment after that…good vet lousy staff that’s why I gave one star, it’s really too bad!

The vet and vet techs were so helpful and honest about the price i recommend coming here for all your animal needs

This vet facility does not even deserve a 1 star!!!!! I will NEVER bring my dog back to this veterinarian facility in Carbondale.. I have been bringing my animals here for over 10 years and I have NEVER witnessed the incompetence that I experienced while dealing with the vet tech named Sky who is highly inexperience as well the so called veterinarian named Kim Talley. She has definitely lost her touch when handling my pets. We waited for 30 minutes in the patient room she did NOT take any vitals from my sick dog. Not to mention the filth in the floor from other animals. She did not once even touch my dog. They pushed me off with an appointment while my dog had been experiencing severe diarrhea. Upon leaving I asked the vet tech what illness my dog had and she did not know and had to ask someone else because of her lack of knowledge. My dog is no better and because of Kim Talley and lack of concern for my dog I am FORCED to get a different veterinarian. Hopefully nobody else has to go through this negligence that my dog and my family have gone through with dealing with this awful facility and Talley.

It was my first time bringing my pet in and I had other personal issues at the time .the nurse was extremely rude and made me feel like I was not a good pet mom just because I didn't check the right boxes on the admission form .I just think she could have handled better ,rather than yelling at me.On a good note my pet did receive great care from the doctors.

They are good to all there patients. Be prepared to get a baba babbling, jaw dropper when you get the bill. Shots not bad

Everyone that works here is nothing but sweet and kind. I have never had a bad experience with them and their prices are reasonable. I will be bringing all of my animals here from now on.

Great Vet, Dr. Kaine was extremely kind and explained every detail of my Doberman puppies crop surgery and I'll be honest I was so nervous do to seeing horrible Crops on Dobys done by other Veterinarians. But she done awesome on my Loki! I would recommend her to anyone wanting a true professional Crop. Great Veterinarian, and all the staff where as good as gold to my little Loki too. I also added a photo (the 3 one) of my pups brother Louie who also had his ears done by Dr. Kaine and is owned by a good friend of mine ????.

Awesome!!! Tiger had a fever and was very mopey. Feeling soooo much better within a hour of our visit to Central. ????????

Everyone is great. Jenny is the best Groomer around. CHFA, TOPS.

My dog had an emergency and they would not fit my dog in to be seen after I told Karen my dog was still having problems with a uti... she told me there was nothing else that could be done so she expected my dog to suffer...extreme thirst and panting hard Karen was really rude to me...bad service from Karen...you guys lost a good client

Don't think they are suitable for my bunny. Told one thing then told the opposite. Believe they should have coned my bunny after surgery so he wouldn't have chewed out his sutures. Charged for second surgery even though he had never left their care. Then soft tie on fabric cone was placed on him. Which he was able to out manipulate and required me to return him for third surgery. Given baytril 60 mg for dogs (meat flavored) and told to cut into and administer twice a day.None of my pets will be going there. Staff was pleasant. I hope my bunny makes it through all this. Some of this may be due to covid and maybe not.
