It was my first time there! And i had to do the hardest thing by putting my cat to down!! They were very sympathetic, caring,the lady made it a little easier! They sent a card a week later ????!

Great place if you're looking for someone to rack up an unnecessary bill. I think they care about animals, but care about money more.

We had an amazing experience here. Our little girl had to be put down and they were so supportive and even gave me a paw print stone to remember her. A week later I received a card with their condolences. Amazing staff and they actually care about you regardless if you're a forever patient or.one time.

Their staff is over the top. Very comforting to the patients familys. It truly shows that they take their job to heart.

Not a 24/7 emergency vet since July 1... Noon to midnight only...they refer you to a place 2 hours away for 24/7 hospitalizations... You call them when you get into the parking lot... Don't call and say I'll be there in ten minutes... They want full payment for each visit but they call it a "deposit" They never offered a payment plan or said 400$ towards your 719$ bill is ok...you wait in your car for an hour even at 11pm to pick up your pet... If you go there bring lots of patience and credit..or cash !!

I'm satisfied with my experience with this Vet Hospital. What happened was my poor Patches got hurt. She is a six year old cat. She had a pretty large laceration on her side. We got there at 4 p.m. and we didn't leave until about 6:50 p.m. They did their best with her and she made it through and she's at home resting now. The cost was very expensive but it is off time and a Sunday. I'm hoping she makes a full recovery. They are very interested on making sure that the animal is not in pain. They are very sweet people and very understanding. As far as the care that we receive I would definitely recommend them. However the cost would definitely be a setback. It ended up costing me in the end an entire paycheck. If I need help I know where to go but I also know it will come with a cost. But when it comes to our fur babies the cost doesn't really matter does it. Update: they called to check up on her a couple days later. And she seems to be doing great.

Throughout the entire experience we were told what was needed, and the price before it done. They were very helpful days later with any questions I called to ask!

My cat had a respiratory virus and wouldn't eat. The clinic was very kind and helpful.in providing the information in how to feed him and bring him back to full health. Thank you all for your help.

Very friendly staff. DRs are very helpful. Actually gave us more insight into our cat that we were unaware of. Very knowledgeable and let you know ahead of time of any unforeseen costs.

So professional and took excellent care of our baby boy when he was feeling bad

I would give the Dr a 5 star but receptionists I just spoke to that told me I basically had no say in my kittens treatment plan and argued with me with complete disregard was not ok for a paying client! This kind of behavior will eventually kill that business when something better comes around with professional standards!

We needed to take our very young orphaned puppy there 3 times,not through any fault of theirs. They went above and beyond to help, assist and soothe our fears but also be truthful and give us plenty of information. I can't say enough good things about this place

We had great care and service from the team when our 13 year old Boston Terrier had an emergency on a weekend. They performed surgery the same day and we appreciated their great communication keeping us posted on the status of everything and the follow up the next day from the Dr. We definitely recommend them.

The worst vet clinic I have ever been too. The one in herrin is excellent… but Carbondale workers are rude, liars, heartless,and smart assess.. they DO NOT care about the wellness of pets… waited 4 hours to find out what was going on with my pet, and they lost lab work and eventually I and the staff had not so kind words said to each other.. I left..and went to pet wellness in Marion.. great,kind, understanding .Snd really explains things well,very caring.. dr. Seals is great.. I had to put my down because of kidney failure….lakeside in carbs Beale are horrible people.. DO NOT WASTE your money.oh and most vets wants money after the animal has been seen.. THEY wanted 600.00$ before they ever did any work.Which I gave.. but after they NEVER did anything and waiting ,with her gasping for air as they just left her in a room by herself. 4 hrs.. I demanded my money back…

The most caring animal hospital. They go out of their way to care for animals. Even sent us a letter after the loss of our animal. We appreciate you guys so much, and highly recommend this place to anyone. ❤️

Do Not take a pet here. They are rude, hateful, uncaring, and are in it for the money. I was transferred to them through the after hours phone from my normal Veterinary Clinic. My animal was in dire need of emergency care. I followed all promps and gave a detailed explanation for calling an was very polite. A lady called me back she was mean nasty hateful spiteful and had no professional courtesy and cannot even be considered as a human being. She finished her spelle and promptly HUNG UP ON ME! I will never recommend this clinic to anyone and I will never take animal of mine there. Thanks to them I am probably going to lose my beloved animal.

My 13 yr old boxer bassist mix had her first seizure I'm in the medical field so I sat with her kept her safe and comfort her well as the 1st one came and went her last one was a bad one and my vet suggested this place we're about a hour away we loaded her up and got there as fast as we could ... we get there and they immediately came out to get her and another with concent forms then a nurse called us immediately to let us know about her and told us what she thought.. she was very informative and sensitive about our baby.. we had to make a tough decision and she was kind enough to let us call her back while we discuss it.. we made a heartbreaking decision and I asked if we or 1 of us can be with her while it happens they were wonderful and giving me time and privacy with her.. they made sure she went peaceful no pain.. they made us a paw print of her paw they were really nice and sensitive with us and our baby .. I would recommend them to help with your baby(s)

Well.... I just want to say before they gave me the right meds for my sick puppy they first tried to get me to spend nearly $400. When I told them I wasn't going to, they asked how much I was willing to spend. Then gave the right meds just under it. So please use your heart and your head because that's not right. Playing on pet owners emotions and their pockets. And the person that answered the phone was very rude!!

My dog had passed away from cancer a week ago on the weekend. My own vet wasn't available. I called Lakeside Veterinary clinic. They were very kind and sincere. They offered cremation services. Becky was so helpful giving directions to clinic. She personally came out to get my dear pet. She gave me some time to say goodbye to my dog. They seem to be so understanding. I will be going back Wednesday to get my dogs ashes and a clay paw print they had made for me. I would recommend their services to anyone.

Fantastic emergency care. They were super patient with me as I was so upset and not thinking clearly. The level of professionalism and care they provided my dog was top notch. I was made aware of everything they were doing and provided estimates promptly before each step. The drive was well worth the peace of mind they gave me.

Did a great job when we had an emergency

This was the worst vet I’ve ever experienced. My dog was hit by a car and during all the stress the women that came out to get Ruckus was so hateful and rude to my family and I. I can not believe this woman is employed. Lakeside is the only 24 hour clinic close to us but if I had a choice I would NEVER return.

Have taken my dogs there for numerous reasons. Everyone is always so nice and professional. Even when my pets have been displaying symptoms they will discuss it with me over the phone even if I don't end up going in and are very honest and straight forward. Had a dog put to rest here last year and they were very comforting. Just today our senior hamster was obviously suffering so we called to see if they could help to put her to sleep and she died while we were there before they performed the euthanasia and they didn't charge and still gave us a little clay disc with her name and footprint. Can't say enough good things and feel very lucky to have this so close to home.

I will take my dogs there. The staff is very good with animals. Caring and friendly. Love.the staff
