I have an older cat who needs help keeping clean and Bone Jour Pet Salon helped improve my cat's quality of life! She was so much happier and looked vibrant after her grooming appointment (not to mention how cute she was after they cleaned her up). Finding people who are good at grooming cats is so difficult but Bonejour has the best cat groomer!

I like the Express service so , it does cost more but it is worth it as the dog will not be there for long time.

I called this businesses several months ago inquiring about grooming services for our pet. The lady who picked up was the owner. As a family, we wanted to contribute to local businesses and were actively looking for ways to transfer some of our engagements to family-owned ventures. We of course didn’t mention this but the lady seemed a bit condescending in her responses and had an odd tune! I wasn’t sure why. I thought maybe she was busy, in the middle of something, or something else! At the end, I acted upon my intuition and didn’t call back to schedule an appointment. Recently, we wanted to revive that strategy of helping local businesses, especially during the pandemic, so I called again. Another reason for this was that our pet has been a bit sensitive to noises and doesn’t like cages, and he had a bad experience at PerSmart, where we used to go in the past. Therefore, we wanted a more personalized experience for our pet and thought that local businesses may offer what we need. I called the same place again and the owner picked up the phone. I told her that I would like to schedule an express appointment for our pet because he tends to be a bit over nervous. She asked a lot of questions about the situation so she can form an opinion about what’s at hand and find the right person to handle our pet. She also asked some basic questions such as my last name, phone number, etc. We settled on an appointment in two days. I asked her about the cost and she said that it would be $20 extra for the express service on the top of the $55 rate; I agreed. Before we hang up, she asked about my last name. It was then when she said: “ Are you Polish?”. I told her that I was anticipating that she would ask such a question and expressed my discomfort. She tried to apologize and explain that she only asked because there is someone who happens to be Polish who lives near where she lives! I responded by saying that “in this political climate, you should not ask someone where they’re from, it’s not appropriate.” I said goodbye and hung up. By the way, I speak English with an accent of an immigrant! In my years in the Barrington area, this is a familiar occurrence, unfortunately! Such awkward and inappropriate renditions of white nationalism, to say the least, surface during interactions that involve ‘speaking’ in an immigrant ‘accent’, or for just being brown! I dislike sounding like this, but after 40 years in this country, and after likely teaching generations of their kids in American schools, colleges and universities, white Americans seem to insist more than ever on the peculiar need to place certain communities in a ‘box’. This ‘box’ and the label glued over it seem to help them articulate their position from ‘others’, my self included! I am not taking it personal, but silence is not the solution.

Just took my 3 year old shih-poo here for the first time and we loved it! When I first called to make the appointment the staff member on the phone was so sweet and explained everything I had questions about. When we showed up today they were very welcoming and sweet to my pup. And even though dogs can't really actually say anything to you, they never lie. When I came to pick up my pup he was so happy, he wasn't scared of anyone. He really made some friends and on top of that they made him look so dang handsome! Very pleased with this place, would definitely recommend! The people who work here care about what they do and they will care about your fur baby. Thank you bonejour!!!

My GSD had only been to 1 groomer before and it was a horrible experience... Then I took her to Bonejour. They were quick to respond and schedule, and easy to work with and they used special oatmeal shampoo because of her allergies. She smells great, has a clean mouth and I have a reprieve of shedding hair. I can't say enough nice things about this place. I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

My dog is as fluffy as a pillow and he is well taken care of. I have never found any sores or cuts on his body which is great.

An exceptionally bad experience for my Animal Assisted Thereapy Dog. She works with hospital patients, severly autistic kids and as a support in crisis situations so I like her to look good. A rescue from Greece, looks like a Beardie. She also, now, looks like I groomed her myself. Facial and foot hairs hacked like I did it myself with dull blades. Cost only $20 less than my own hair cuts with a top ranked Master Stylist.

Horrible Horrible Horrible! Not only do they intentionally delete bad Google reviews (I've seen other bad reviews that just magically disappear within a week, so they are being reported to the BBB about that), but they actually deserve those bad reviews. These are the rudest people I've ever met in my life. My dog came home frantic and inconsolable, and he looked terrible. Choppy everywhere, uneven ends everywhere, not whitened at all, and came home with blood on his foot! What is wrong with people? Not sure what the good reviews are for, but I'm sure they are having family members and friends post fake good reviews. These people are going to be reported to no end, I promise you that.

Bonejour Pet Salon has been grooming my dogs for many years now. They have done a beautiful job with all of them and are great with the more challenging cut on my West Highland Terrier and my former Scottish Terrier. I will continue to take them there and will continue to refer them.

Completely destroyed my dog before the show. I asked the owner multiple times to cut my dogs certain way even offered him extra money to do it! They created monsters out of my dogs. They are arrogant people. I will never ever take my dogs there again!

Great grooming! I have taken my 7 year old golden here for at least 3 years and the service has been great. The have listened to what I wanted done, and have made suggestions as to what is best for our pooches. Last fall, I called Christy in a panic after our dog walked across the newly tarred driveway, and they worked miracles in just a few hours. The team also cares for our 13 year old Maltese.
