Very very pushy making me get every vaccine under the sun. When my dog was getting spayed the vet called me in an urgent manner telling me my puppy should also get her baby teeth pulled out while she was under anesthesia. They want to get every dime out of you for their time. Your pet is just a number.

Fantastic experience here. Took my dog in on a same day appointment, they figured out what was wrong and solved it. Staff was very friendly and explained everything to me.

Office interior closed until November. Not sure why 2 weeks makes the virus less dangerous, no explanation there... Took our dog to see the dentist about a bony mass on the jaw. They did take pictures of her teeth but could NOT tell us the reason guess for the mass on the upper jaw.... They suggested antibiotics and performed a blood draw for upcoming teeth cleaning with tooth removal and possible biopsy. We were told they need to perform a mouth/jaw X-ray and a cleaning which both required separate visits at a cost of $1200-1600 without any biopsy. No better diagnostics of dental issues then our regular vet has provided. No consult provided on costs in person, nope estimates only given by email. No chance for interactive discussion on dog's health care jusr a phone call while waiting in parking lot. All in all we were not impressed with our treatment given this Hospital given they have dedicated vet dentists.

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Dr Washington is wonderful and great as a dental vet. My foster cat had stomatitis inflammation of the mouth...really painful and had to have all teeth removed. Now her mouth is beautifully healed and foster kitty is once again happy and pain free!!!

Good service, but the whole COVID-19 protocol is a mess with having to call in and get s call back. Let's get back to normal.

It comforting to know I have someone I can trust to take care of my pups medical needs! I love that there isn’t a long wait time for appointments.

my dog was suffering with a debilitating jaw problem for three weeks. After visiting two vets someone referred me to Barrington animal Hospital. Within 15 minutes of my visit a doctor diagnosed and came up with a treatment plan. One week later he is eating again playing ball and able to open his mouth. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the prompt, service I received. I highly recommend them

Got dental surgery for my dog this week. Very professional and courteous staff. Doctor very knowledgeable and explained all in detail. Definitely more expensive compared to normal vet, but dental is their speciality.

Very friendly staff. They seem to love what they do and their clients. It's a bit pricey, but better than going to a vet who misdiagnoses just to keep u coming back for the same problem. Or the dog goes in for a dental cleaning and dies on the table.

I think they all did a super job! Very knowledgeable and well staffed with caring individuals who take the time to assure you of the normalcy of certain puppy behaviors, and give great supportive care to the animal. I chose not to use the canned food they gave me for returning to normal eating patterns after a day of overdoing it on nature foods outside. Instead I used beef bone broth with tiny bits of her food because I believe strongly in the healing nature of this soup. Thank you all so much! Great job!

I take 6 of my dogs/cats there and my current dog is in surgery. Outside of the fact they have never been on time and Last time I had to wait 20 minutes in a car to only call back and realize they forgot to call me that’s not why I’m writing this. My husband dropped off my pup this morning for surgery (I usually do but am sick) and was met by a receptionist who was curt and gave attitude. She may have been flustered, rushing, and took it out on him… next time you behave this way ask yourself if you were dropping your dog off for SURGERY if that’s the kind of person you would want to leave your pup with. I will also say that a lot of times there is confusion when speaking to front desk on which dog needs which vaccine. I had to argue with receptionist once when I told her my dog got the final booster shot and she still needed to confirm with doctor. One positive- The vet doctors have all been very nice and professional.

First visit and I'm amazed at professional level of everyone in the hospital. I didn't feel rushed, staff and doctors spent time speaking with me about the course of treatment and options. Very much appreciated!!!

Just had our first visit to Barrington Animal Hospital with Dr Leah Litchfield. Great experience. Very welcoming staff, gentle touch with our Dobe dogs. Dr Litchfield was very personable and allowed time for all our questions to be answered. The exam technician Mary also took extra special care of our dogs. Thank you. We look forward to coming back.

The vets, techs, and staff are all helpful and friendly. We trust their advice and plans of care for our dogs. More importantly, our dog has an opinion: Background: She has always hated going to the vet. We always had to drag or carry her to her visits and she would howl mournfully the entire time she was there. Today I took her in for a follow-up after some dental extractions. She started barking with excitement when I pulled into the parking lot and then lead the way to the front door. They are clearly doing a great job if they can get our stubborn, old dog to like going to the vet.

This was my 1st time here. I will say with the Covid protocols they were still friendly and professional. Even though I couldn't talk in person to the techs or doctors my questions were answered and Dr. William described our boy Lou as a sweetheart and adorable. Will be nice to talk to the staff one on one. The only issue, tight parking lot so can be tricky entering it from Southbound Northwest Hwy. Thank you Barrington Animal Hospital.

Barrington Animal Hospital staff truly care from the front desk to vet techs and even the appointment reminder callers - everyone is kind and professional. They go above and beyond throughout the process and I trust their advice. We’ve taken our senior dog here for multiple dental cleanings including extractions over the years and with each experience the staff have made him and us comfortable. Dr. Ford takes her time explaining and answering questions - her approach is kind and caring. Thank you Dr. Ford and Barrington Vet for making our experiences with you so easy.

If you are in search of a VETERINARIAN , this place is the BEST! Dr. Leah Litchfield and all the staff over at Barrington Animal Hospital made our visit so enjoyable. Gunther ( my French Bulldog) was treated with extreme care and everyone was very efficient through the entire process. From the receptionist, to the Vet Tech, to Dr. Litchfield herself. I cannot say enough great things about this place . I’ll definitely be coming back.

I cannot express enough how wonderful Dr. Ford is. She also had to deliver some difficult news for my family, and her compassion was definitely there. Thank you, Dr.. Ford, for caring for our fur baby.

WE JUST had a Labrador puppy that we had for 2 days. 8 weeks old We have done business with 3 other dogs for years.Dog had blood in her stool. BARRINGTON animal Hospital didn't think it was an emergency. Couldn't speak to a Vet. They have way too much business and no one could consider a 8 week old puppy with blood in the stool is not an emergency. . We had to insist on an emergency. UNBELIEVANLE RESPONSE

Dr Litchfield used to be in Crystal Lake and moved to Barrington Animal Hospt. and I would follow her anywhere, she has been taking care of my girls forever and Barrington Animal seems to be a wonderful carring place, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a loving, carrying place for the fur babies in the family. 5 star ????????

They pretty much overcharge on everything. A check up could cost you around $300. When you could go to a more personable vet and office for around $150. 10/10 would not recommend.
