I love Alameda Pet Hospital! They see my dog, cats, and reptiles. Dr. Crystal is the only vet in the surrounding area who can do proper care for reptiles, birds, and small animals. She is also very knowledgeable about husbandry needs for pets to help you to make sure your pet is receiving the best care to live a long life. When Dr. Matt was here, he helped care for one of my cats. Her backstory is she had eaten a shamrock when she was between 6-8 months old. I had been seeing a different vet who had assured me they were monitoring her kidneys. Fast forward a couple years...Well they weren't and she was in so much pain and was trying to pee everywhere. Dr. Matt was so gentle and sweet with her even though she was not happy about her exam. He was willing to make a quick check up into a full examination where we drew blood, urine and performed an ultrasound to try and see what was going on with her. We discovered crystals in the bladder, and he gave us some medication and helped us to decide what prescription diet to put her on. She is so much healthier and finally put on some weight! She's still not a fan of going to the vet, but I love being able to take her and everybody else to a place that genuinely listens and helps them get the best care. Love, love, love this place!! The staff is also amazing!! I know I can bring any of my babies in any time, and everybody will take turns to come give my babies loves. They genuinely love the animals they work with and will take the time to help me feel better if I'm worried about something.

The only place in hundreds of miles to take my Parrots. The vet here is great and very knowledgeable. She always accommodates me as best as possible.

Doctor Crystal one of the best vets that I've ever seen. She has lovingly cared for all of my animals for a long time. She's looked at my rats my cats my dogs a myriad of mini Critters over the years. She is absolutely wonderful.

Very caring. Not only take care of your pets but gives you knowledge on the problems, I've been to several vets in town , hands down these people are great.

This place doesn't even deserve a negative star. Our Boston Terrier started having what we thought were seizures, so my wife called this place on a Sunday, because they claimed to have a 24 hour emergency service, and the women told my wife that it sounded like he was having mini strokes and told my wife that it was a $150 fee just for the vet to come to the office and she would rather us bring him in on monday so we could get more for our money. Your a vet not a financial advisor. I would have payed $1000 so I didnt have to see our little man go through what he went through. So we do what the vet recommends, wait till the following day but she also said that if something happens, to call her. Well early monday morning, our Boston has 3 SEIZURES in a row. The 3rd one being the worst. I had to watch My Boston Terrier go through something I dont ever want to have to see or hear again, ever. He sounded like he was screaming for help and I couldn't do a damn thing for him.. That morning we call them back and they say they would have to work him in and it could be a couple of hours. They wanted me to wrap my seizureing dog in a blanket and bring him in and wait for a couple of hours. He didnt have a couple of hours. Be cause of this laziness, our dog had to suffer and I had to watch it. We ended up having to find another vet that would take him in so he could be put to sleep. My Boston had to suffer because of this vet and I had to watch him helplessly. I could only hope that the vet has to watch a loved one, as I did, go through what our Boston did. Carma

I just had to put my 17 year old Pekingese to sleep. Dr Crystal was so kind. I know she understood how much it broke my heart to let him go. I am so grateful for the tenderness and respect that my precious little dog received and, the kind words she said to me. Thank you so much.

Brought in my baby leopard gecko when he stopped eating and was dropping weight. The vet and the assistants at the desk were all very nice and helpful! The vet gave me all the information I needed and I was able to get my gecko back to good health! Thank you!

I just went here for the first time today, and I was so impressed at the professionalism and compassion I was shown. I brought my 3 month old ferret in for her shots and Dr. Shropshire was so nice and gave my girl a clean bill of health. I will definitely be going here for my future vet visits and will recommend to everyone! Thank you!

They were respectful when I had to put my cat to sleep.

While this isn't my regular vet I was beyond impressed with the care that my dog received in an emergency situation. After calling around to many vet office that wouldn't take an emergency call these guys made room for us to come in. The receptionist nurse and doctor were all so kind and patient even though they were so busy.

This is the best vet in town! They are so good with my dogs. They're honest, caring, trustworthy, and priced fairly. They never add on any unnecessary tests or other expenses. They're the only vet I've ever been to where I feel like they care more about the patients (both animals and their humans!) and less about the money. Unfortunately I've been having a hard time getting my boys in when the issue is time sensitive. I know they're currently short staffed, so hopefully this will be a temporary issue. I still call them first if I have a sick pup. They're the only vet I'll go to for routine visits/non time sensitive issues. Lastly, I have to give a shout out to Ginger. Ginger is the sweetest person probably in all of Idaho! Your animals will be so at ease when they're with her ???? greatest vet tech in the world!

Wouldn't c my bearded my bearded dragon in a emergency because I didn't get pd till later that day. My lizard ended up dieing due to no medical treatment!!!!!!! Never again will I recommend or go back!!!!!!!!

Caring and friendly - always there for me when I had emergencies in the middle of the night. Treatment options discussed. Never felt I was over charged. They encouraged me to come back to monitor my very small dog’s weight. The vet even called me to see how my dog was doing.

Dr. Crystal knows her stuff! She's a rockstar and I'm incredibly grateful for her knowledge, professionalism, skill and hard work. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves their animal like family.

Needed to bring our dog in for an emergency visit. They originally told us there would be an emergency appointment fee, but it got waived when the vet was able to get us in between scheduled appointments. Very positive experience and very reasonable price.
