Doodle Dog Daycare, Boarding and Grooming Nampa, Idaho

We love Doodle Dog! We brought our dog there for a year and a half before we moved away last week. The facilities are clean and accommodating and the staff are extremely friendly. We are going to miss it and would recommend it to anyone.

We love this place and so does our golden. He's stayed roughly 20 nights by now.

We both groom and board or dogs here. I like that our two dogs can stay together when we board them. We last boarded them for an out of town Thanksgiving trip, about 1 week.

Doodle Dog Daycare is The Best! Staff love my little one like she belongs to them❤️. Pikku has been going to daycare for over 18 months and is always excited to go; and happy when I pick her up. Staff are amazing - very in tune with the dogs. We've boarded her a few times (always get a cottage with the camera) and she's done fine. Again, staff are truly wonderful. If you’re a nervous parent, you will love the live camera where you can check in on your pup.

On the first 2 boarding visits our high energy dog seemed to have fun (although came home smelling awful even though they gave him a complimentary bath). But our 3rd visit took a bad turn. He came home with 4 wounds, 2 of which were infected. After being told he was 'fine' when we picked him up, he had diarrhea and vomiting for 24 hours. We had gotten his vaccines up to date prior to boarding him, but they didn't even ask for the records.... Which means many other dogs there may not be up to date on vaccines. I also didn't like that no one was in the building in the evening to watch them. I won't be boarding here again.

Only place I trust with my furbabies! Tons of room for them to run around and a great way for my pups to socialize. The staff and owners are amazing!

My dog Dagny loves going to daycare here! She always comes home happy and tired. Edited 08/15/21: I feel obligated to change this review based on recent events. My dog loves this place, and I've always gotten good communication from the people, until recently. My dog started to come home with minor scratches on her neck and shoulders, which I simply put down to an incidence of her attending daycare. She also began to chronically limp and since she's a puppy I worried she has hip dysplasia or something similar. I took her to her vet for radiographs and learned that she was physically sound, which put her limping at the hands of Doodle Dog, because that is the only place she had been going to cause both bloody scratches and chronic limping. She had taken a break from Doodle Dog and attended a different daycare for about 2 weeks after her Bordetella vaccine and her limping and injuries had ceased. I contacted Doodle Dog and very nicely asked about a possible refund for my outstanding credit with them because I needed to go in a different direction with my dog based on recent events. I was told I would get a call back from the manager. They never called. They did refund my balance, which I appreciate, but they showed no concern for my dog, nor interest in what had been going on with her health and safety. For that reason, I felt I needed to change my rating. Doodle Dog is great for dogs that may not need as structured an approach to daycare. It didn't work for my dog and that's okay - but I didn't appreciate the lack of concern and communication.

Great place to board my dog. She has so much fun there playing with other dogs. I drive 30 minutes one way to drop her off for boarding, but it’s worth it to know she’s safe having fun.

I've taken my West Highland Terrier, Stuart, to Doodle dog for grooming at various times over the last few years, and have been happy until todays' visit (which we waited 8 weeks for). I discussed what I would like to have done with the groomer today, and was told that Stuart was matted and would most likely need to be shaved. The groomer and I discussed how short he would be trimmed, and that his tail would be groomed in the typical style of a westie, sometimes called a carrot tail. I mentioned that I had an appointment and would try to get back as quickly as possible, but might be slightly late in picking up Stuart. The groomer then informed me that I would be charged for a half day of boarding if I was not punctual in picking Stuart up. I was surprised to hear this, and left my dog with some misgivings at this point. Unfortunately my appointment ran slightly longer than anticipated and I wasn't able to pick up Stuart within the required half hour of notification that he was done. When I arrived an hour later, I was informed that my bill was $80; $45 for the grooming, $15 for an additional matting fee, and $19 in boarding fees. I was also told that my dog had double ear infections and seemed off balance to the groomer. This information was told to me by the receptionist, as the groomer had left for the day. I was in a crowded waiting room with multiple other customers, and it was most awkward. She asked me if my dog had allergies (he does and takes an allergy medication) and told me that changing foods sometimes helps. I'm sure she thought she was being helpful, but I am entirely too familiar with my dogs allergies, and usually would appreciate if my dogs medical issues could be left to my veterinarian. Being admonished in this manner in a very public setting felt incredibly uncomfortable and based on this, and the excessive fees and long wait time to book appointments, I will not return to this business. Oh, and Stuart has a tail that looks like a fox now, nothing like we discussed. I wish I would have been told in advance about all the additional fees, I think I would have cancelled this appointment and gone elsewhere. When the receptionist saw my reaction to the boarding fee, she did remove the charge from my bill, but let me know that in the future, there would be no such exceptions. I don't believe this grooming facility will be in our future.

They are such a great place to board or give your dog a day of play, great staff,super helpful and friendly.

We board our mini dachshund; Bitsy every time we go on vacation or go somewhere. She’s an older dog, and they treat her very well! She loves it, and the staff is always super sweet and loving to her. They treat her with the utmost care and are very gentle with her. We wouldn’t board her anywhere else. Thank you guys for always taking such good care of our baby.

I have been using Doodle Dog for the last couple of years and have absolutely 0 complaints. They are always so welcoming and excited to see the dogs. I have recommended to many of my friends with dogs to go to Doodle Dog and would recommend it to anyone else. Your dogs will be loved and taken care of!

I love this place! So professional. Always immaculate. I know they treat my Jasper well because he loves going there. I drive clear from Eagle because there is no place anywhere close to this place. Highly recommend!!

First this is the cleanest boarding place the dogs have ever been to. I was able to take them home without stinking up the whole car. Our dogs have been here for daycare and boarding and the staff is top notch. The dogs had a great time and definitely experienced the Doodle dog hangover haha they slept like rocks for days afterward

Our dog absolutely loves this place. The people working here are very friendly, show genuine interest and care towards the canines and take care of the place. My wife tells me this is by far the best dog daycare place we have ever seen and experienced, as we have lived in 10 states in 10 years and nothing beats this place.

We have boarded our dog here multiple times and have loved it. The staff knows our dog buy name and is always excited to see her. They've been flexible with our schedule too.

My husband and I have been taking our dog Rosie to Doodle Dog Daycare for 4 years. The staff have welcomed her every visit with open arms and kindness. We board her there when we go on vacation knowing she is in a safe, secure and clean environment. They will even send pictures of her when we are away. Danielle is a kind, caring and thorough groomer. I am a "helicopter mom" with my dog and there is no where else I'd leave her than with this dedicated and loving "home away from home."
