Downtown Doodle Eagle, Idaho

My regular groomer just moved to Downtown Doodle so this was my first experience with them. The shop is clean and the staff friendly. So far I'm very happy with them

NOT WORTH THE MONEY. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG TO BETH AT THIS LOCATION. SHE CUT MY DOG AND ALSO CAUSED HER TO GET AN EAR INFECTION. The only thing good about this place is they have a quick turn around with grooming your dog. The customer service here was very disappointing. The staff were anything but friendly. The environment was unwelcoming, the staff was short with me and rude, as if I was an inconvenience. No one even smiled! On top of that, the groomer was not receptive to style of cut I wanted for my mini poodle. The length she cut my dog was fine but the way she styled the face was all wrong. Her ears are too long, she did not round out her snout, or leave enough hair on top of her head. I tried to show a picture to the groomer (her name was Beth) prior to dropping her off so it was clear what I was looking for and she told me that a picture wasn't helpful. I am from out of town but come to Boise/Eagle often to see family. I will definitely be finding somewhere else to bring my dog when I need to get her groomed in Boise. Waste of $68. UPDATE: In addition to everything, Beth gave my dog bad razor burn in her ear which may have also caused a yeast infection from the moisture. My dog requires professional grooming since she is a poodle and not once has she gotten an ear infection or cuts like this before. Beth rushed her grooming job and my poor dog is paying the price. So now do I not only have to pay for an overpriced bad haircut but now I have to pay vet bills to fix what she has done to my dog.

Took my dog here twice. First time she came out sparkling and immaculate. Second time her appointment was at noon. They called at 3:45 to say she was almost done, (why did my dog have to be there for three hours before they got to her?). I picked her up and she was still wet and not brushed out. She didnt look or smell clean. I was charged $70 for this. In a hurry, I just paid and left. When she dried off, she shed all over the placed. Called 2 days later to complain and owner called me back. She explained that the first groomer had 17 yrs of experience. She said next time (if we choose to come back) to ask for Brittany. She explained the dog washing process and said the dog has to be completely dry before brush out which didn't happen in this case. I said this was expensive for what I got and she said she'd get back to me to verify what I paid. Never happened. No "come in for free appt" no refund.

First time customer - they did a wonderful job on my English cream retriever. And he didn't have to sit in a cage waiting for me to come pick him up. Only 4 stars because oh my gosh its pricey!

The worst haircut ever in my Golden Doodles 8 years. They completely shaved him. His face doesn't look like a Doodle. I am crying. I will never go there again. The hair on his legs looks chopped.

Found this place by accident, best groomer I've found. So lucky! My Akita blows a sweater twice a year, growing never get it all, THIS ONE DID!

Charley enjoyed his wonderful Spa day at Downtown Doodle with Staci. She always does such a good job at making him look his best. I have 3 dogs and I always bring them to Staci.

Dawnell is a fantastic groomer who does a consistently good job on grooming both of my cats and I always know they are in good hands when I drop them off. If you're looking for a new place to get your cat groomed, I highly recommend this place.

I was excited to use Downtown Doodle to groom my Goldendoodle. I cut his hair during Covid and I had completely unmatted him so he mostly needed to be evened out, and I expected him to be a little shorter all over. I cried all the way home after picking him up. Stacie didn’t groom him. He was shaved down to pink skin and will now have to have sunscreen to be outdoors. She did leave his face fluffier like I had requested. She initially told me he would be done in 3-3.5 hours. I received a call 1.5 hours later that he was done and they are preparing for “last pick up.” It was Friday and I feel like she wanted the quick money before the weekend. I paid $85 and left a measly $20 tip when I usually tip groomers very well. I was sick inside as I left with my now pink dog. I am extremely disappointed.

The groomers at this salon are caring and professional with years of experience among them. They understand grooming care starts at home. If you don't help care for your wonderful 4-legged family member, they will help you get a fresh start. Thanks for all you do ladies!!!

I LOVE Staci at Downtown Doodle. I have brought my HUGE Irish Wolfhound to see her twice now. And he always comes out looking his best and smelling fresh! We've had him bathed, brushed, nails done and hygenically shaved. I will always bring my dog to Staci

Nice people. Dogs were unrecognizable when picked up. Provided photos of and discussed 'desired 'look' for our doodles. Not even close. :(

They cut my goldendoodle so close he’s miserable. They said he had mats in his ears so they had to cut him super short. We feel for mats all the time and brush him regularly. Hasn’t ever been an issue with any other groomer. Will not ever take my dog there again. Giving him Benadryl tonight upon our vets recommendation to calm the uncontrollable itching. Highly recommend you go somewhere else. I’m anticipating the response to this review will be that we don’t care for our dog and brush him regularly. Not true. We are empty nesters and our dogs are our babies. Asking for my money back tomorrow.

I feel terrible for writing this review as I don’t mean to drive customers away from businesses but this is THE absolute worst haircut my dog has ever received. I was charged $90 and I seriously could have done this myself and have been charged less for much better quality. Unfortunately I will not be returning here. I believe this place may be great for very basic grooming needs but if you have a poodle that has a specific type of haircut, I wouldn’t recommend this place for it. Again I don’t mean to demean or to criticize but I am actually scheduling an appointment with another groomer to get his haircut fixed.

Good groomer, good with the dogs, my only complaint is they cut my doodle too short without asking me first.

Andrew did a great job with my Standard Schnauzer, Malya. She was super shabby before and now she neat and tidy and one happy pup! We'll definitely be back!

I noticed none of the 1-2 star reviews ever included a picture of their "miserable" and "pink" doodles. Sounds like they just didn't like the price tag, but you get what you pay for with dog groomers and that's the case here. Staci always takes care of my dog, and I know multiple people who won't take theirs to anyone else. Keep up the awesome work!

Andrew is the only person I trust with my dogs. I have two old guys. They love and trust him. And now, I have my puppy who is a crazy monster. And Andrew did an amazing job with him as well! I literally follow him wherever he goes!
