I received a phone call on 1/8/2022 asking how the vet visit the previous day had gone and wanting to check in on my dog. After explaining that the dog in question has been dead for nearly 5 years the woman on the phone confirmed my information and informed me that I had been in the office the day before with my dog. I again explained the dog has been gone and I now live in Montana so I can assure you I wasn’t in Va Bch anytime recently. After having this difficult conversation with the staff member who had contacted me I woke up this morning 1/9/2022 with a request for me to complete a survey on my nonexistent visit. Therefore, here is your review if you’d like I can send the condolence letter from the vet that put my dog dog as I don’t have an official death certificate for the best dog who ever lived. Thank you and your office for opening closed wounds and not only pouring but also sprinkling the salt in them again.

We came to Owl Creek Veterinary Hospital for a second opinion and are very thankful we did so. Dr. Ayre took great care of our dog in his time of need. The staff are excellent.

Have been going to owl creek animal hospital since 2015. Approximately 5 days ago I scheduled appointment for our dog and was told at that point they were curbside due to covid so I mentioned she is special needs and I'm needed there for her mental well being. I was told ok I'll put it in the notes. Today we arrived 1/2 hour early and called to let them know we were there and kindly reminded them I needed to come in and was told ok no problem they would be out shortly to get us. 1/2 hour later nurse comes out to tell me I'm not allowed in so I canceled for our pups mental well being. This should have been said with certainty in the beginning when made the appointment and not wasted our time. If you have a special needs animal that needs you with them for the time being this is not the place for you.

They took us short notice when we had an emergency with our dog. She was treated with the best care and every staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this office!

I was able to get a last minute same day new client check up for my dog here. Dropped him off and picked him up a couple hours later along with some free preventatives and shampoo. Definitely recommend ????????

The office staff was on.point with checking us in. Caroline was very personable with getting to now Bella and kept me posted on how she was doing..

Gordo and I are new to the VA Beach area… we needed a place for Gordo over Christmas……Owl Creek was not only a great value, but they emailed pictures/updates every day and Gordo seemed to really enjoy himself.

Dr. Hood is a very professional and personable Veterinarian. I took my first ever dog, a 8 week old golden retriever, to Owl Creek and felt so supported and acknowledged with all the staff. They do an amazing job of find the best treatments for you!! Booking appointments is super easy and accessible too. I have always been been to call/schedule and appointment that works with my schedule - even on short notice!! I highly recommend taking your animals here.

Very professional, took great care of my dog. A little expensive compared to other places in the area, but we will keep going here for the quality of care.

My pup was limping and we had no idea what was wrong. I am new to the area and didn’t have a vet established yet. They were able to get him in immediately and determine what was wrong. The doctor called and explained everything and even came out to talk to us when we were picking him up. It was an overall amazing experience in a rather stressful situation. They took great care of my baby! I will absolutely be using them in the future!

I can't say enough great things about Owl Creek! Their customer service is amazing, their Vets treat my dog as their own every time she comes. She is not the easiest dog and has serve anxiety with visiting the vet and they are so patient, calm and slow moving with her, it means so much to know she is in great hands! Their staff is friendly and always welcoming. I am so thankful I left our old vet to find such an amazing place that takes great care of her!

The team at Owl Creek were able to squeeze my cat in, for a last minute appointment - same day! Every other place I called did not have openings until mid-December. Luna and I are thankful for their care, friendly staff and their sense of urgency to the matter. I assure you, you will see us again in the future [if needed]. Every single interaction from over the phone w/Ashley and all the other ladies was beyond pleasant. Thank you so much!

Dr Kelly is amazing! She is so compassionate and knowledgeable and really cares about pets!

As a brand new client, Dr. Hood tackled a life long neurological issue for my senior Jack Russell, whose symptoms had worsened to the point of finally needed treatment. She allowed plenty of time for me to explain his history, show videos of his behavior, and share notes from previous vets. After a quick updated blood panel, she came up with several options to help him. His symptoms reduced drastically by the next day, and I am hopeful that we will be able to make his final years more comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Hood, who is a knowledgeable and compassionate vet.

Owl creek is absolutely amazing. They offer so many great services and the staff is extremely kind and caring. It was very easy to start going to them for daycare and vet needs even on super short notice. Their daycare is very affordable (and my foster pup always comes home tired and happy as can be after) and I absolutely love seeing the pictures from daycare on their website. Cannot recommend highly enough!

The best vet around. They got our girls in quickly and provided professional and compassionate care. They'll be our new vet for ever even though it's a bit of a drive. I almost don't want to tell too many people since then they'll all know! The absolute best.

Really very thorough and professional. We were so worried about our pup, Angus, and he was given every care and a great prognosis by the doctor.

When they found a possible mass that might be cancerous they did the procedure same day to find out what was actually going on under the skin. It gave me peace of mind that no matter the outcome they did what they could to check on my dog/ puppy as much as possible.

Was able to speak with the Dr and address all concerns. Got an appointment very fast compared to other vets in the area. So far got my dog relief for his skin itching, hopefully it stays that way and isn't from allergies.

Been going here for 20 years. Wouldn't go anywhere else

They were able to give shots and boarding on short notice and were very patient with my sometimes difficult dog. We got a picture update which we loved. Will definitely use them again.

Everyone is super friendly. The operation runs smoothly. Overall a great place to being your loced ones and rest assure they are being well taken care off. Left with a smile and so did everyone else around me. ????????

Unfortunately we had to find this office under dire circumstances. Our dog was exhibiting signs of heart disease and we could not get him into our vet for an ultrasound fast enough. They were able to get him in quickly and were so sensitive to the challenges we were facing. Unfortunately we did have to go back to the office to say goodbye to our sweet pup but the staff was incredibly empathetic, professional and patient. We are so grateful we found Owl Creek <3

We did the hotel for 2 nights , and everything went great!

Took in our puppy French bulldog and serviced him well with the right medication for his upset stomach and diarrhea in a timely manner and were so polite and averagely priced
