Blue Haven Pet Salon Virginia Beach, Hawaii

When I got my Maltishi I was searching for a groomer. Blue Haven was highly recommended to me however, they were not taking any new customers at the time. I ended up having to bite the bullet and take my pup to a chain location for her first 2 Puppy cuts and it was simply a terrible experience for my girl. I reached out to Blue Haven again, advised on our terrible experience, and secured a spot for my girl. When I drop-off and pick-up the staff is always super nice and reassuring for us nervous mama's too! The cuts leave my fur baby looking like a million bucks. Stepping out on a limb here, and while this may not be the case, I really don't think Ms. Sherry had an opening when she took my baby on as a client. I believe Blue Haven cares so much about animals that after hearing about the experience she took her on anyway. If this does not speak to the level of care they provide at Blue Haven I don't know what can. No matter the case I am grateful for Blue Haven for treating my baby the way I would while providing exceptional service!

They're fast, friendly and affordable and they do an excellent job grooming my dog. She's never looked better.

Great price, but didnt finish cutting my pups hair. We had a great groomer previously but they left and the new one couldnt handle my pup. I called blue haven made them very away my pup has sensitive feet and we are trying to avoid sedation, I said i didnt want to book if they couldnt handle my nervous pup, they assured me they could, brought my 35lb pup in, and was called within the hour saying he was to strong for a 60 year old groomer to handle (i poiny out age becaue thats what she told me) and i was to come pick him up. When i arrive the had half cut his hair just his body not his legs or anything and the never bathed him.

Friendly and great service. They do a wonderful job with my shih tzu! Highly recommend.

Blue Haven Pet Salon is awesome!! When switching dog groomers, your anxiety can be high. The staff at pet haven were super sweet and professional, I had no doubt my girls were in good hands. When I picked up my fur babies, the service for haircuts were great. My dogs were super cute and the did exactly what I asked for. Definitely going to be a return customer. Thank you again!!!

Great experience! They did an amazing job on my cocker spaniel for his summer cut. When I brought my lab in for his nails to be cut they did an great job accommodating him since he gets all antsy on the table.

The ladies at Blue Haven are wonderful! After checking if they were accepting new customers over a year ago and were told no, we took our dog to a different groomer. Fast forward to about a month ago and we could not get the previous groomer to answer or return calls. Blue Haven happened to have a customer leave and had an opening. We were worked in the next day. Fast, very competent and affordable! If they have openings I highly recommend!

Only giving three stars because it was great the first time I went but after my dog came back the second time she had fleas all over her stomach and thighs that she DID NOT have when she arrived at this salon..I don't know if this is an ongoing thing for multiple pet salons because the same thing happened at this other place Canine Corners. Fingers crossed for my Shih Tzu baby to find somewhere to get properly groomed WITHOUT her coming back with fleas. Go here with your own caution.

I had brought previous dogs here before. Then I got bigger dogs and didn't need to anymore. Now I'm back. They are so nice and accomodating.

My pup has always loved them as much as they love him. I’m always stoked to pick up my dapper dude looking all trimmed, fresh, and clean. You can tell they adore what they do and I rarely write reviews but they deserve the recognition. Wonderful shop. Very accommodating. The "boys" were treated so sweetly and came out smiling! It was the first visit at this shop and we will be back. The boys have found their new groomer!!!

Excellence in grooming and super friendly!!

I took my dog here for the first time today and am overjoyed with the result! I was using Petco grooming for several years but I couldn't get an appointment with Petco for at least another month- so I started looking to see other groomers that were local & I found Blue Haven! They booked us within 2 days of me calling. My dog has been having some skin issues and I let the groomer know when I dropped him off. When I came back she let me know that she used some hypoallergenic shampoo and added a solution to help his scabs heal up. Overall she seemed like she really added extra care & my dog's fur was the SOFTEST I think it's ever been. Really happy with them and will definitely be coming back!

This small salon is friendly to both pets and their humans. They keep my Corgi-Husky mix looking dapper and dashing....no small feat since he is mightily fluffy. Their prices are reasonable as well. Definitely recommend

Based on the other reviews I expected to be wowed. I thought the grooming was ok. I didn't think my baby's nails were neatly or evenly trimmed. In essence, there were some things that could have been done better but it was ok. She smelled clean. The staff was very pleasant.

The owner Sheri, her daughter Melinda, and Roxanne are wonderful. Roxanne's grooming of our two Standard Poodles is always outstanding. She is so efficient and gets them completed in about three hours.

They always cut my fur baby's coat just how I like it and the prices are super reasonable.

Sherri has been grooming my boys since they were pups, they are 14 now. She always makes them look great and takes great care with them.

On 7/8/20, I took my puppy to get his first grooming and I was very pleased with the results. At check-in we were greated with a smile and she addressed my dog by his name, Oreo. I hate that I can not remember my groomers name, but she was awesome! I also appreciate the curbside checkin and checkout.

My dog shows no anxiety. Pleased with the service.
