Thoughtful care, affordable prices. I drive cross-island to see Dr Darren Kamiya, because he cares for the well-being of my pets more than getting rich. I have been charged double elsewhere. Most importantly, I trust that my pets are getting the best possible care in his office. Shout out to the Vet Techs who manage to comfort my squirmy and awkward Chihuahua ????

Wonderful service and staff. During pandemic, they still provide exemplary services. Prices are great and no fleecing here. Definitely returning and having them as my furbabies medical team.

Awesome vet. Covid restrictions made the situation difficult but the team at this clinic adapted nicely and professionally, and we got the care needed for our new kitten.

Great vet! Father and son practice. They have taken care of my fur baby even in emergency situations. My dog has several health problems so we are here more than we would like but the staff and Drs are awesome. I highly recommend Newtown Vet Clinic. They’re partner with Hawaiian Humane Society as a vet for newly adopted pets!

I love Dr Darin and his staff. Rena and the other front office staff really take the time to help answer all your questions and concerns. The office staff especially Rena will take the time to really listen to you (even when I babble) and relay the message to each doctor. Both doctors answer all your questions and respond to you quickly. The vet techs are loving to each pet and try very hard in making the owners and pets feel calm and safe. The medical care my dog receives in this office is phenomenal. Thank you Newtown Vet clinic.

My Dad, “Mango” was right, You just cannot beat Experience & Knowledge!!! During the annual exam Dr. Darin Kamiya while doing his job, quietly calmly observed the situation within our dynamic situation then taught me how handle my fur babies, I also learned by watching their diet they are sensitive to pork & dairy! It was later in the evening after careful thought, and a glass of wine I came to a quiet conclusion that it was I that was in need to be “retrained” to be the trainer/handler/master rather than be “mastered” by the k9’s which I know can be the issue for most pet “fur baby” owners from watching enough Cesar Milan’s shows. My Dad has been taking our family dogs to Dr. Kamiya’s father for over 30 years, (Dr. Darin’s father is old school, a very no nonsense kind of doctor) after I explained our situation, and issues to Dad, he highly recommended we take our dogs to his veterinarian even stated we would probably get Dr. Kamiya’s Son Dr. Darin. Dad was so spot on, we did get Dr. Darin, he was excellent!!! Assistant Gail & The Staff was amazing with our babies as they handled them with lots of TLC. Both my house bound fur babies, Adlina & Kiki are much happier in the home because their master has been recalibrated for the betterment of the whole family!!! God bless the staff and especially the two Doctors of Newtown Veterinary Clinic!!!

Dr. Francis is a straight talking very nice guy...he saved our dog twice my wife & I willforver be grateful..to Dr Francis & his great staff Some people you help them they are so grateful so happy you helped them.....months pass... then they develope. Thank You Dr. Francis!!!! I was about to leave the house on a Saturday for work and my dog (Baby) wasn't following me around like she normally does. Baby had gotten into a little bag of Mac Nuts(she feasted on about 4 Mac Nut halves and It had affected her nervous system) when I found her I thought she wasn't going to get better. She couldn't stand up and when I tried to give her water she didn't take any from me right away. I picked her up and wrapped her in a big soft towel and headed for my job since it's only down the road from Dr. Kamiya's. I called at 8:03am and Marsha answered and gave me an appointment right away(8:45) I got things ready at my job then left, I was so relieved when I got to the clinic. Dr. Francis was so comforting and reassuring towards this very intense and worrisome situation. He truly is a life saver. Baby had an x-ray of her stomach then was put on IV for 4 hours in order to flush out the toxins from the Mac nuts. I'm very happy to say that she is doing well and is back to her normal, happy, and HEALTHY self again.
