With a senior dog 17+ comes challenges. Dr. Head compassonately listens and provides exemplary guidance, and a specific care plan tailored to our dog's needs. He or his staff call to check that the treatment plan is working and make necessary changes. We're beyond pleased with the professionalism of Dr. Head.

They are great. We have a cat with diabetes and have gotten it under control with diet when we lived on the mainland. After two months of living here he started attacking one of our other cats with total veracity and growling at the other two and the dog. We brought him into Keauhou sence they were the ones that helped us bring them into the state. The Vet said he has all the signs of a hyper thyroid. We had him tested and that's what it is. Maybe we can have all our pets happy together again. Mahalo Keauhou

Keauhou as been a God send to our family! They helped us with our move to the island about a year and a half ago! They are always tremendous with our dog Ada! It has always been a great experience! ????????

Service was done well even inspite of the pandemic and they actually listened to me and my family that they would need to drug my dog up after surgery so we could take him back over the island. They did wonderfully with the surgery and my dog is recovering fast. ????

Called emergency to save my puppy after they asked the Breed I told them mixed they told me no we are not accepting new patients ???? why ask what's wrong and the breed if you knew you were gonna deny me.. Sadly my pup is in heaven he ate a piece of plastic that wouldn't pass . He could've been saved ????

Its just a basic vet with no after hours even though they say they do. And it is a pain in the neck to find.

They reviewed my dog's x-rays. I never went there.

They took very good care of my babies

My Ellie girl had a fractured tooth and needed a tooth extraction. From the scheduling with Stephanie on the phone, drop off and update from Dr. Head, I felt so relieved she had the best care possible. They really care!

Dr. Head is a very compassionate man. We are very lucky to have found him recently. We make a drive across the island to have him care for our pets! He did a big surgery on our dogs leg and he was there for us to put our very old kitty down too. Appreciate him very much ❤

We had a dog with lymphoma when we moved here 6 years ago who had been doing well on chemo on the mainland but we couldn't find a competent Vet on the island at the time and she went downhill rapidly. We have another dog, Eneki, now who was recently diagnosed with the same cancer and fortunately we found Dr. Head at Keauhou Veterninary Hospital. Eneki is doing great and we really appreciate the care Dr. Head has given him. The extra time we have with Eneki is greatly appreciated as is the quality care from Dr. Head and his very caring staff.

Was pleasantly surprised today with how great our visit to see Dr Head went!! Reading some of these reviews had me slightly hesitant but I wanted to give the clinic a chance given the positive experience I had with Kelly doing the direct airport release for my dog. We have absolutely NO complaints about today's visit. The front desk staff were friendly and smiling, the facility was clean and Dr Head was extremely professional and compassionate. He hugged and loved my dog like I do! We had to wait an extra couple of minutes due to an emergency but as an animal lover, I'm more than happy to wait so that doc can focus on an emergency. I saw (not heard - he was very private) Dr Head speaking to the owner of the pet who had an emergency and I would like to commend him on his professionalism and compassion. I could tell he truly cared. Even with that, we were in and out fairly quickly and I appreciate that Dr Head was thorough and never made me feel rushed even with a number of questions I had. I'm happy to post this 5-star review and I don't just throw out 5-stars... I'm a tough critic ;) We look forward to seeing the staff again soon!
