Bush Veterinary Neurology Service - Atlanta Woodstock, Georgia

Had a great experience at Bush Neurology with my small dog. She needed back surgery to relieve the pain she was experiencing. From start to finish they were professional, responsive and very skilled in taking care of my dog. Her surgery was a complete success.

I can't say enough good about this place. Our 3 year old Frenchie did something that hurt his neck. He was posturing, had significant muscle spasms & was obviously in a lot of pain. A visit to our vet was diagnosed as an impinged nerve & they have us some meds. A few days went by & he was getting worse so we took him to an emergency vet who suggested it was something more than nerve & to get him to a Neurologist. Long story short, we researched a ton & found vet schools in Knoxville, TN, Athens, GA, & Bush. After much more research, we decided Bush was the most qualified. Our vet called with the referral & we got an appointment for a week later, so we babied our pup & kept him as comfortable as we could. Yesterday (1/12/22) was appt. time & the initial exam strongly pointed to a herniated disk, but an MRI would be needed to confirm. Of course we said yes & the MRI confirmed their suspicion. They said they could do the surgery that afternoon which amazed us, & of course we said yes. He went into surgery @ 2:00p & we got a call around 5:00p that it was completely successful & our pup was doing great. We got to pick him up the next day & he was a little groggy, but no more muscle spasms or signs of pain he had been having. Our pup was going to be ok!! The depth & clarity of communication from the docs & their staff were nothing short of amazing & frankly, unexpected. Their care for our furry baby was exemplary, something I wish our people doctors would seek to achieve. If you haven't figured it out yet, I say if you have neurologic issues with your pet, this is the place you need to have care for them. Thank you Dr. Neary & Dr. Akin & Shelby for the high level of care & compassion you showed our Gus, you are the best!!

Very friendly and always felt like they recommended the best short and long term path (not just straight to surgery). All options were presented with estimate ranges with itemized costs to show low and highs. Everyone there is amazing. The doctor went above and beyond to find the best recommendation (including talking to multiple other neurologists) and the vet techs were incredible. Everyone was friendly and empathetic both in person and over the phone. My 11 year old pup is night and day better after a month of following our plan without surgery and without being over medicated.

The Doctor and Staff were 2nd to none. They were professional, warm, caring, and knowledgeable. My family and I had a difficult decision to make and the team helped us through every step.. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with the staff. The surgery seemed very complicated and they made it seem easy and it was a success

This is for the Woodstock location. I would like to thank Logan for her kindness, being patient with me, helpfulness, and being so knowledgeable. She gave me so much guidance even though we were not patients. We had planned on coming to the facility but she advised us to go to the emergency room for an issue I was unaware that was an emergency. She went above and beyond for me and my baby's care Zoey. Please make sure she gets the recognition she deserves. She is truly an asset to this company! I cannot thank her enough!

I brought our 12 year old Yorkie in for an MRI after she developed issues walking. While the MRI results were not in our favor, the compassion received from Dr. Neary and Kendra was outstanding. Dr. Neary gave me all of the options to treat moving forward and gave me his honest opinion as a surgeon about what could and couldnt be done. Kendra was simply the best. Supportive and caring. A delight to speak with. As far as pricing, the MRI came in far below what I was quoted at another center. In fact, my dog had 2 scans done and it was still much lower than the other place. I cant say enough good things about BVNS. The service received was outstanding and I'm happy to trust them with the care of my dog moving forward.

Friendly receptionists and technicians. Dr. Neary explained testing and results clearly. Clear and concise communication. Warm staff. Costs were explained up front, and they accept Care Credit. They were wonderful during a very stressful time. Highly recommended.

The staff is wonderful and so far they have always been on time for our appointments. They show that they care for my pet and how important she is to me. Dr. Neary clearly explained what diagnostic options I had for my pet.

My experience at Bush Neurology has been very positive. The staff are extremely friendly and responsive - I received follow up phone calls to check on our pup, which was very reassuring. < br />Dr. Neary was great - he explained the health problem our dog was experiencing and gave us options for care. < br />Overall, I feel the care our dog received through Bush Neurology has helped him live an almost normal life again. Excellent veterinary practice and all staff were very empathetic with our situation

I went with my mother to taker her 10 year old dachshund for an exam for IVDD. The doctor was knowledgeable and suggested an MRI. Be prepared to be there awhile. We were there from 8am - 2pm. We went home with a diagnosis that we felt confident with. The only issue we had was the paperwork said call pack in a week to schedule a 2 week follow up. We called in a week and they said they were booked for a month. Other than that scheduling issues we were very satisfied with their vet practice.

The staff here is amazing!!! I would trust them with my pet any time. Thank you guys for being kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. If I could give ten stars, I would!

Dr. Neary has been outstanding in communicating with me both during our visits, as well as when problems arise at home. All of the staff has been very caring, and helpful with anything I have needed. I feel my dog is in very good hands at this practice.

Caring and kind staff! Highly recommended!

Due to covid precautions I wasn't able to go back but Dr. Akin called and provided results of her evaluation and provided recommendations in a warm and understanding manner. She took time to answer my questions. I wish I could have been present during the session but from her report, it appeared comprehensive and thorough. The doctor was excellent, better than most human neurologists. And the rest of the staff were friendly and interested.

Great people, good work, punctual service, price was on the low end of the estimate. Only downside is that these places seem to realize that there are not many places that provide pet MRI's and as such they seem to have the market cornered and charge you twice as much as you might spend at a human facility.

Our cat needed an emergency appointment, and when I called to schedule one, the first thing the receptionist asked me was, "you were notified that this will cost from $2,500 to $3,500?" Literally the first thing she said after she picked up the phone! Our pet is sick, and instead of getting someone compassionate on the phone who cares about pets, we get this rude person. Moreover, she kept talking so fast I had to ask her to repeat the info. Overall, she kept blaming COVID-19 for their new routine where, without so much as seeing the pet, "she would be referred to diagnostic immediately" and "unless you have the money and want to schedule your pet, I cannot schedule an appointment." Oh, we do have the money to pay for the health and safety of our cat, but we would rather pay it to someone who actually cares and understands what the pet and owners are going through. I would never trust my pet to her care, and if we happen to still require services of this office, I will request that she be removed from our pet's care whatsoever!

So grateful that they made MRI for my baby affordable!! Was not a big fan of bedside manners of staff.
