They are of a dying breed of those peeps that have deep care for animals. I'm amazed time and again at how wonderful the staff is, and how beautifully they treat our pups.

My pet family has been seen Dr. LAVELL and staff for greater than twenty years. Dr. Lavelle and staff are very caring, compassionate, and professional. They are for french bulldog's second family and home. Peu loves to go to Pet's if she is ill or for daycare She is excited to see her, Dr. Lavell's professional staff and family on arrival

I have three yellow Labs of which I am very protective. I have had them to a few vets around Tucker and Decatur, but never felt quite right. They either want to sell me something or don't do a thorough exam, or the office is usually in disarray. I had been to People's Pets a number of years ago with a sick dog on Labor Day. Dr. Lavell was there to take care of her. When I went back with the three new dogs it was like I never left. The office staff was pleasant, friendly and inviting. The vet tech was great! I felt very comfortable with my dogs there. Dr. Lavell talked with me about them then did a thorough exam. She found some things wrong that I was unaware of and prescribed some medication. I had one issue that I had seen another vet about. Dr. Lavell's was a more thorough exam and her vast experience gave her insight to the problem. I am now treating the dog with some medication that should help, but if it doesn't Dr. Lavell already has further treatment planned if necessary. I've had dogs for the last 45 years and have seen some very good vets come and go. I can say without trepidation that The People's Pets is the best vet for my current pack. I am so glad I am back there and I know my dogs are in good hands. UPDATE I'm reducing my stars to 3. I went back with a sick dog. I advised the office of what was happening and made an appointment. I get there and they give me a Rent-A-Vet who has never seen the dog and is unaware of the discussion Dr. Lavell and I had. The office did not advise me that I was going to see a Rent-A-Vet. If they had I would not have gone until Lavell was back from vacationing in St.Croix. My $1100 helped pay for that trip. I had to suggest to the Rent-A-Vet that maybe an anti-inflammatory would help the dogs inflammation. So I called back to get the heart worm prescriptions faxed to an outside pet pharmacy.for the dogs. "That's against protocol." was the response from the clerk at the desk. The following vets will fax: Dearborn DeKalb Tucker Whiteway The fact is they have their own pet pharmacy and want me to buy from them. The other vets have their own pharmacies but are professional enough to accept the customers request. The office operation is un-professional and incompetent.

Professional staff, caring touch even with a large, busy facility. Their triage system seemed to work well. The outside of the building needs touching up, but the interior is modern and clean. Both the techs and doctors were friendly and made us feel at ease, a necessary skill when handling pet emergencies.

Kind caring people who go above and beyond. Amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. My brother decided to foster a sick puppy without realizing all the medical expenses saving his life would cost him. This vet went over and beyond to save Foster’s life. We prayed for this puppy’s life and god answered with Dr. Lavell. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️

I had the most pleas at experience at this vet. I have two cats who got infested with fleas. i was stressing didn't know what to do. The doctor calmed me down and gave my cats the treatment they needed. I am recommend this vet to anyone. please check her out.

Quality care. They have taken good care of all our pets. Can't recommend this place enough.

Dr. Lavell goes above and beyond for the animals under her care. No doubt about that. My dog is healthier and happier due to her suggestions for diet and allergy medication! So thankful we found this practice a few years ago.

Pretty good place, really friendly staff, only sort of complaint is the smell but I don't really think they can control that

This place use to be amazing until They got new management i had scheduled a grooming almost 2 weeks before the date 10 mins before my grooming they call an said she couldn’t come because they didn’t do sedation on weekends which is BULL. BC SHE ALWAYS GETS GROOM ON WEEKENDS WITH THE SAME PROCEDURE WHEN I TOLD THE CHICK THAT SHE FROZE UP AN DIDNT HAVE NOTHING TO SAY MY BABY WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS PLACE EVER !!!

We really like this vet. Everytime we've had an issue with our cats they figure out how to fix them up.

These beautiful souls are so wonderful and Dr Lavell is basically Dr Doolittle!!! Love everyone and everything about these folks and this place!

Dr. Lavell is incredibly knowledgeable and caring. The staff is wonderful. We've taken our dogs here for over 9 years.

We've been with Dr. Lavelle since we became dog owners in 2013 and we love her and the entire team. Very knowledgeable, matter of fact, and loving. I had several recent visits for both my dogs that have fortified my confidence in People's Pets. Thank you for your work! *Edit- our dog recently passed away and Dr. Lavelle was very compassionate and knowledgeable. She did some testing and found out what kind of cancer he had and was able to inform us how long we had with him, etc. She's great.

We started coming here when our puppy was sick. We love this place, they are very patient with us and answet any questions we may have. The prices are affordable and they also take Trupanion pet insurance here as well.

Dr. Kat and staff are caring, helpful and kind! Dr. Kat is so knowledgeable and keeps up to date with new developments in medicine.

I have been taking my babies to the People’s Pets for 10 years and have nothing but great things to say about Dr Lavell and her staff. They are full service facility and they always tell it to you straight. I am so happy I found them and think if you are looking for a new vet you should check out their facility.

Dr. Lavell is the best. She and her staff have taken excellent care of our pets for fifteen years.

I love this place. The owner is a hard worker and a wonderful Veterinarian. She was made to help those that can't speak for themselves. Everybody that's employed at TPPs are kind too.

Our family loves this establishment & appreciate their professionalism. My 4 month old American bully adores the staff here . That's truly important to me because this is my 1st dog and I'm truly enjoying my new daily adventures with him .

My dog was groomed here, when I called and made the appointment I told them he was 2 lbs and his age when I made the appointment they told me the time to drop off and pick up. Day of service he’s there to be groomed when they tell me they don’t groom puppies because his adult hair hasn’t grown in, ok so why didn’t the person that took the appointment clarify this!! Fast forward he is still trimmed and nails are cut, couple of days go by and I start to see his hair thinning on this nose, where he was trimmed and on this paws which were also trimmed. Called the vet because I was starting to worry called them to ask what fragrance they put on him and did they cut him with scissors or clippers so I can let the vet know upon our appointment called today and they told me that didn’t use a fragrance on him, and I know that’s false because he smelled very different than when he got there considering he hadn’t had a bath cause he’s only 7 weeks old, not to mention whatever was put on his hair makes it look like it’s wet, I’m so annoyed because my perfect Maltipoo, has thinning hair because of someone at this PLACE!!

Too notch care at good prices

My family has been going here for almost 3 years and we absolutely love it! The service is great and I really feel that my pets are loved and cared for at each visit.

I’ve been taking my girl Brownie here since she was 2.5 months old. She’s almost three now and I’ll never take her to another vet! From her yearly checkups to emergency trips to boarding, I’ve always felt safe and confident to leave her in their care. She is a large pit mix and has always been greeted with enthusiasm and love! Compared to pricing I’ve heard from my parents and friends vets the People’s Pets is very fair as well!

Dr Kat is amazing. Not only has she saved my fur babies lives multiple times, she's also been compassionate and everything you can ask for when we've had to put them down. My dogs are always excited when we pull into the parking lot because they know they're going to go see their favorite dogtor
