Dr. Jeremy and his team were knowledgeable and overall amazing for promptly getting my parents dog in to be seen over the holidays while they were visiting!

The vet was able to see my dog immediately the day before the holidays. I wasn't even a patient at the time but my previous vet was unable to diagnose my dog for MONTHS so at this point I desperately needed a second opinion. The vet looked at my dogs vet history and listened to the symptoms I described. The first test they ran they figured out what my dog had. It was truly a Christmas miracle after we had been running in circles for months at our previous vet! Port City even stayed open late to finish up everything for us and explain the diagnosis, food, medicine, etc.

Wonder experience, very thoughtful follow-up email from the vet with recommendations on things like food. Will definitely be making this my dog's primary vet.

This is by far the best vet I have ever had. I am very pleased with their service and dedication to animals and their families. They are a little higher in price but I am willing to pay due to the level of quality. I had a cat that was cured from cancer, a cat seen as a emergency who was diagnosed with pancreatitis (he is doing well now), a kitten that came down sick suddenly and became lame that was also seen right away (also doing well..see picture) and a dog who was bitten by a snake or stung by something and was swollen up that was taken in as a emergency (swelling is gone and she’s back to 100%). I have never had a vet willing to take a pet in on a emergency and work them in between those with appointments. Dr. Feris is the only vet that I have experience with that will explain in detail what is going on with your furry family member. My animals are also comfortable with the staff and the dog especially gets super excited just by pulling into the parking lot. Great staff, great Doc.

While working with the staff here on paperwork for an international shipment of two cats, the most useful eventual action by them was to suggest working with the Fort Stewart vet to acquire the paperwork. Overall, we were dissatisfied with their incorrect information, forms, data on forms, and eventual refusal to acknowledge their own incompetence at many turns. Two stars because while were satisfied with this vet’s care for our cats prior to leaving internationally, these events have left a very sour taste.

Dr. Faris and his entire staff treat all of our animals like family, and we trust them completely. Dr. Faris always takes the time to explain procedures, medication, etc., and all options. Rather than trying to sell you the most expensive treatment, he explains the pros and cons of each option so you can make the most informed decision. I’ve experienced several vets in the past who use guilt as a way to make their clients purchase the more expensive options, but this has never been the case with Dr. Faris. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and never rushes a phone call. He is humble and will reach out to other professionals for second opinions (if necessary) to make the most educated decision. Our animals love Dr. Faris and his staff (especially Freda!) and we couldn’t be happier with their treatment.

This place legitimately thought I was going to stay in my car while a stranger took my pet inside. They even had the nerve to claim it was Covid protocol. Umm, last check mask wearing & vaccination was the national (and local) standard. Sorry my pet stays with me. All the other area vets are following this practice.

Dr. Claytor was absolutely wonderful with my kitty. Her and Carissa came to our home to Euthanize my fur baby. They were fantastic. Their Compassion and professionalism was amazing. You can tell they truly love their job and genuinely care about their clients and their parents. I can’t thank them enough.

I would like to thank Dr. Faris and Freda and all the staff for being there for my granddaughter and my grandpoodle this past week. Our baby had been sick several months back and after taking her to several places my granddaughter was beside herself so I insisted we take her to Dr. Faris and to no avail he did everything possible and found out what was wrong and it wasn't good but he did everything we could possibly do for her. She was still just as lively as she could be until last Thurs. night. We could tell it was hurting Dr. Faris as much as us but we did what we had to do. It has been very hard on my granddaughter as this was her baby, she was with her every minute of the day if she wasn't working. Dr. Faris and staff was there anytime during her time of illness if we needed them, I am so thankful for them. May God continue to bless them and THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!!!

We have been taking our dog to different places in the area and he has been treated for allergies, nothing seemed to be getting better. A friend recommended Port City Animal Hospital and I only wish I had known earlier, they don't seem to think it's allergies and are running tests to find out what it might be! I am sorry my dog suffered as long as he has!! I will never use anyone else!

These people need to GO- DO NOT take your animal you love there. They overdosed my puppy for two months and when it was brought to their attention they blamed it on their receptionist. When I further questioned them they ask me to leave practice! GLADLY!!!!!!!!! - They need reported and put out of business.

All of our pets are well taken care of, even if some are move cooperative patients than others. Our cat crossed the rainbow bridge early on in the pandemic and they went above and beyond to make sure the experience was personal and peaceful despite the pandemic restrictions.

My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about the staff at Port City Animal Hospital; they are phenomenal and saved our puppy's life. Our puppy was diagnosed with Parvo at an emergency vet on a Sunday night and they requested a minimum $5,800 for 3 days of care. We couldn't afford that at the time, especially so because they understandably needed payment right away, so they recommended we try making an emergency appointment with a regular vet the following day. I called and spoke with Frieda (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) first thing Monday morning and she got us in within the hour. Right from the beginning, Frieda made me feel confident they were going to take excellent care of our puppy, and they did. Our puppy ended up staying for 5 days. During that time I received daily calls, text messages and even pictures and videos of our girl so we knew how she was doing. Dr. Claytor was absolutely wonderful when she called to provide updates, taking her time to explain each and every detail, including the cost of care so we were always prepared. Briana was our girl's assigned Vet Tech and my goodness!!!... what a wonderful person and asset to the company! It is evident that she loves her career and cares so very much about the animals there. She spent a LOT of time with our girl and was so helpful and kind during the entire process. There was never a question she couldn't answer, and never a time when I felt I was being a bother, even when I was texting her like crazy with our questions and concerns. To Dr. Claytor, Briana, Frieda, and Wendi... from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for every single thing you've done to save our girl. We are your biggest and most grateful fans. <3

Dr. Faris is amazing! We are so appreciative of him always going the extra mile. He's so patient and always explains everything in a way that's easy to understand. He's not above saying it's time to see a specialist, which I really appreciate. He also respects our choices, which I value. He helped us find an amazing specialist which saved our dog's life and we're forever grateful. His staff is very sweet and his clinic is spotless. You never feel rushed, always feel like he's willing to spend as much time as needed to make you feel comfortable.

Our new dog developed a bad case of diarrhea and could not get in to our regular vet. Port City was able to get her in asap. Dr Claytor and the staff were great. Although we could not go in with her due to covid restrictions the staff took plenty of time on the phone to answer any questions and go over issues. Dr Claytor was easy to get ahold of and all of the staff were friendly and responsive. We will continue to take our dog here for all of her care. The only negative is not having any later hours(after 5pm) or even a partial day on Saturday for "issues" that can come up. Overall great experience!

Military member here, so I’ve had a LOT of vet experiences. Our family has two dogs and they are fully members of our family, spoiled and deserving the best of care. Not only has Port City Animal Hospital provided great general care, but recently went above an beyond. Our Lab, Riley, was in for a check up, and Dr. Clayter found a suspicious lump on his hind leg. Unfortunately, it turned out to be cancer. She provided us expert advice and options and we decided to amputate the leg. Dr. Clayter did a magnificent job with the surgery and the aftercare provided was amazing. Unfortunately, Riley wqs unlucky and developed an infection and ended up being allergic to one of the antibiotics he was prescribed (absolutely no fault of the clinic) and was near death. The doctors and the technicians at port city worked quickly and got us to a specialist and he was hospitalized. I won’t get too much in the details there, but due to the port city clinics staff and their commitment to animals’ well being, our sweet baby is alive and well and managing just fine with only three legs and is happy to see the staff any chance he gets! I can never repay them for the care they provided and ensuring as best they could that we would not lose our baby boy!

Super friendly and welcoming. We have had great experiences every time we have gone. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The team is also very patient. We called almost every day for a week after our pups spay. They never got annoyed with us. We love them so much that we intend to take our pup True here as long as we are in the Savannah area. 10/10

Unfortunately I am having to post a updated review and not for the better. My wife and I have spent over $800 dollars in the past week with this hospital, we initially had a great experience with Dr. Faris and he was very thorough regarding help with my 7 year old cat. That was until we decided to go with them for our new kittens initial shots. We knew they were higher than any other vet in town for these shots but because of the experience we initially had, we moved forward nonetheless. The problem is that we were misled into believing that all the shots, boosters and exam fees for this kitten would be no more than $220 dollars which we gladly paid, after calling to schedule the next booster is when we were then told that in the end it would be over $1,000 dollars to get our indoor cat fully vaccinated to live an indoor life. At that point we started asking more in depth questions about why we were not told of these extra exams fees and numerous tests that certainly weren’t all needed. At this point we were still understanding as maybe it was a misunderstanding but then what really did it for us was when the employee Brianna/Breanna? Said to my wife “You know if you can’t afford to pay for this kittens vet bills maybe you should take her to the pound for adoption as many people would love to have a kitten” Now, this employees only saving grace is that she said this behind closed doors like a coward as this hospital is still not open for public visits with your fur family members. That response has led to us sharing our experience to everyone we know and also leaving this vet. It’s unfortunate that one employees actions has led to this because I do think the Doctor here means well in the end but as an employer you are responsible for all behavior exhibited by your staff and we can’t stand for that. In the end we thought we were doing a good deed by taking in a stray kitten and giving it a home, but I guess it makes us bad people to want to know up front what costs we would incur, Not to mention we found out after the fact by calling multiple other vets in town that we were severely being raked over the coals financially. In the end we will keep the kitten and give it a loving home but hopefully by changing vets we will still be able to care of our other cat and still make the mortgage payments by going elsewhere and receiving full transparency and respect.
