Jim and his team are exceptional in the way they have cared for my hunting dogs over the years. You will never find a more caring and professional Vet in the Roswell/East Cobb area. Simply put, he's the best of the best.

We (our fur babies) have been patients of Dr Barger for 20 years. He has always taken amazing care of our dogs and cats through the good and bad. He always suggests things they need or that will help them. We still take our pets to this place after moving to a different part of town. We trust Dr Barger and staff that much. They're fantastic.

About a month ago we adopted an 87 lb dog from the shelter. We wanted to take him for a health checkup and start a relationship with a Vet who would care for our dog for years to come. Today was our first visit with Dr. Barger and I cannot say enough about how happy we are that we chose to come here! Being new dog parents, we had many questions and Dr. Barger took the time to get to know us and answer each question we could think of. He gave us his undivided attention during the entire visit and taught us so much in the time we were there. Gloria who manages the office is amazing. I felt confident when making the appointment over the phone I had picked the right place because of how lovingly she spoke of the practice. Dr. Barger's son Eli assisted during our visit and did wonderful with our little meathead :) If you want to bring your pet to a Vet that makes you feel like family from the get-go, this is the place.

Dr Barger has been talking care of our dogs for many years. He is low key, informal, and knowledgeable.

If you read all of the reviews for this veterinarian the common themes are that they care, that this isn’t a place where they want to squeeze every last cent out of you when you come in, and that people have been coming here for many years. All of that is beyond true. Its so nice to find a family owned business in this field that take the stress out of taking your pet to the veterinarian. They genuinely want to help your pet. They are very fair and upfront with pricing. Take your pet here. I’m sure you will be as happy as I am to have found a place to permanently treat your pets. I had four cats seen and I say that this place is a wonderful value. Don’t miss the entrance! Look for the wooden dog!

When I was a child My family brought our dog Annie here, our Cat Fluffy, our dog Muffin..... the list goes on. This week I had the joy of bringing my own rescue dog Rocky to Dr. Barger’s clinic. My pup was so well cared for & everything about the clinic lived up to my wonderful memories. It’s a place where I first learned about caring for our pets & what a fun experience to bring my own kiddos to meet Dr. Barger & get a firsthand look at what Veterinarians do for a living. If you fly past the dog sign & have to do a u-turn at the light, you’ll be in the same boat as me & my mom before me but it will be worth it once you find this gem! They say you can never really go home, but sometimes you kind of can. That might sound a bit cheesy but how often can you visit a place as an adult that is just as excellent as you recall from your childhood? I definitely recommend North Fulton Veterinary Hospital & wouldn’t take Rocky anywhere else!

Took our small dog for a dental cleaning. They checked her teeth before the procedure and gave me a courtesy call to let me know if any teeth needed extracting (which none did). The doctor also clipped her nails while she was under and made sure our girl was comfortable. We trusted him over another vet who would have done extractions without our permission. Grateful for the individual care of this vet. They are farther from us that others but it was worth it to know our girl was in good hands

Dr Barger is very knowledgeable and attentive. He assured me that when I had my baby’s teeth cleaned, he would never leave his side. His staff is also wonderful, especially Gloria. She is the kindest woman. She always remembers us and always goes above and beyond with her compassionate nature.

A very honest and caring doctor, the staff is friendly and helpful. These folks are more interested in the health of your pet rather than generated fees.

Doctor Barger and his staff are top notch. Very welcoming each time you visit. They have helped answer concerns regarding our pet over the phone and advising whether they should be brought in for examination. During visits, Doctor Barger is gentle with the animals, asks thorough questions in order to identify any potential health concerns, and provides recommendations for feeding and activities in order to keep your pets as healthy as possible. Following a visit for an illness for our pet, Doctor Barger's staff called to check in to see if our pet had gotten better. Highly recommend utilizing Doctor Barger if you are in the East Cobb or Roswell area.

Best pet doctor we have ever been to! My son has been using him for years, and recommended Dr. Barger when my husband and I recently got a puppy. Dr. Barger and his staff are SO good to pets and also "parents of pets"! I wouldn't take my puppy anyplace else. Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Barger is one of a kind. He doesn't like to treat symptoms but gets to the bottom of my pet's issues. He also is holistic in his approach so less trauma to my pets. One doctor, same person everytime. Heartfelt fellow and honest. Doesn't do unnecessary tests.

Dr. Barger is an old fashioned class act. We have been seeing him for years and his care is always over and above what's necessary. He's the only vet where I've ever seen dogs willingly walk back to him all the while wagging their tails. That should tell you something.

Dr. Barger and his staff are a welcome change from our old vet practice. NFVH has a family atmosphere and I feel like our pets are extremely well attended to when we're there. We recommend them to anyone in the North Atlanta area.
