Couldn't be happier with Dr. DeLong and his staff. When. My husband and I moved from Alaska to GA we needed a vet to care for our 4 legged baby Copper. They don't disappoint and are very reasonably priced.

The team at CMAH has taken care of our pets for about 10 years. Dr DeLong and Dr Haynes have extensive knowledge and a big hearts for the furbabies in their care. The entire staff shows remarkable care and kindness. Prices are fair and are discussed upfront to help you make the best decisions.

My Cleo Cat threw up so much a few weeks ago that a crisis situation developed. I called the hospital and they had me bring him right in. They knew what to do and they literally saved Cleo’s life. He is an old cat, around 18 years old so just the tiniest thing could become a big deal for him. He was approaching organ failure. So my wife and I now infuse Cleo twice a week with lactated ringers. I know they love Cleo there and I never have any fear they are not doing the best for him. He is our child.

I've been bring my oldest dog Loki here for about 2 years now and just added a puppy Ariya to the family. I've seen both Dr. Haynes and Dr. Andrew. More recently my older dog had to go to the emergency vet overnight and they called to check on him a few times that next day and walked me through suggestions for continued care at home. Since getting our puppy he has been more protective and so when we took him in to get his shots he was more apprehensive. Tammy sat on the floor with him until he calmed down and felt safe around her. They are always amazing up front, especially Susan who adores Loki and he gets so excited to see her when we go. I have also done boarding with them 2 times and even as a nervous dog mama, I knew I was leaving my dog in great hands. The only thing that's ever let me down is there are no longer Saturday hours. As someone who works in healthcare, it is hard for me to get off early to make it to appointments during the week.

The receptionist was very warm and inviting. She cares about the patients and their owners. The Vet Tech, Mary, was very thorough in asking about my new puppy and took great care of Onyx.

The staff and doctors were so caring when we had to make the difficult decision to put our 12 year old cat to sleep. They gave us all of our treatment options, were up front about the costs, gave us a realistic prognosis, gave us as much time as we needed to make decisions and offered us support afterward. They even sent us a condolence card with handwritten notes inside from all of the staff. The love and care they provide to us and our pets are always top notch.

I moved to the Gainesville area less than a year ago and this office was less than 20 minutes away. I've been to 4 different Vet offices since I've been here and this is definitely my pick. My little baby hurt his paw and I wanted to have it looked at asap before it would get worse. Chestnut Mountain was able to get us in right away, the paperwork was simple, and the staff was willing to have his shot records transferred over, for me, since I forgot them. The office is spacious, modern, and clean. A staff member greeted me at the door and took us back almost immediately. The doctor was kinda young, but I was so impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and the undivided attention he gave me while he explained my little guys condition and I asked him many questions. He gave me options for treatment and saved me a lot of money by skipping the x-ray and just doing a physical exam. So, needless to say, this is my forever vet. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Delong and Tammy, a tech, are an awesome team. Our dog is 14 years old and they are helping us keep him comfortable these last days, weeks, or months of his life. We have never had a problem getting an appointment! They are very accommodating.

I’ve been taking my 8 year old dog here for her entire life and now a new puppy as well. My most recent visit with the puppy allowed me to meet vet tech Tammy who is AWESOME! Prices are fair and I trust this vet.

We have been taking our dog here for over three years. The Doctors here are very caring and spend much needed time addressing questions and concerns. They are good at calling you back right away with test results or if you call them with questions. We have been happy here with the staff and care we received.

They're very informative and thorough! And you can really see the way they care for your fur babies! I have enjoyed switching to their practice and I feel like my dogs have enjoyed it too!

My bestie played too hard yesterday, and aggravated his hips. I woke up this morning to his whimpers and inability to stand up. Chestnut Mountain Animal Hospital was able to fit me in the same morning, regardless of the fact that he was not already a patient there. Everybody from the receptionist all the way to Dr. Haynes were welcoming and kind. I never felt pressured to do anything I can't afford, and they offered me the least expensive route to get him back into action. He is finally able to sleep. So thankful. I would definitely recommend them.

The staff has been nothing but awesome to me and my puppy. They handle him with love and care, especially since he's going through his vaccines. Will continue to be loyal to this vet!

We have been clients of Dr. Delong's since he arrived in Chestnut Mountain. The care and patience he and his staff took with one of our senior cats, Chucky, can not be measured. Now, our Molly has become a senior with some of the same conditions. Dr. Delong's associates, Dr. Haynes, and Tammy continue to show Molly the same compassion. We will forever be grateful for Chestnut Mountain Animal Hospital.

Every single person, including Dr. Haynes went above and beyond for our pup. From the minute we walked in the door, they were professional and kind. They saw us through a very hard time by caring for our dog, and for us. The place was spotless, the staff was knowledgeable, and communication was excellent. What really made the difference was the staff’s compassion. Before, during, and after our visit their care was beyond what I could have hoped for.

I took our puppy here for a skin legion and the experience was great. Dr. DeLong was professional, knowledgeable and wasn't pushy at all concerning the possible treatments for our issue, or all the possible unrelated preventatives for the future. He gave me all the options and let me make an informed decision, which I greatly respect. Pricing was upfront and I felt they tried to keep it to a minimum. I will definitely call on them again when needed.

Love this place and so do my dogs. I’ve taken every pet I’ve ever had here and I love seeing my fur babies get excited to see them. That’s what matters most to me. They help keep my babies healthy and happy. Very professional and always ready to answer any questions.

I love chestnut mountain animal hospital. They always explain everything to me clearly so I know exactly what they are going to do and are extremely helpful when I have questions or concerns. The staff is also so nice and welcoming.

They delete bad reviews off of other sites and social media outlets. The manager Benjamin thinks he can bully female customers. Rude awakening coming. I’ve heard great things about Dr. Haynes, as for Delong, not so much.

After buying a dachshund puppy that began coughing we took her to a vet who refused to see her because she was leaving for lunch and another telling us she had kennel cough and would “get over it with time” passed away due to the negligence of other vets, we brought our new dachshund puppy and our older pomapoo to Dr. Delong as soon as they started showing the same symptoms. Dr. Delong was also about to leave the building when we pulled up. He dropped what he was doing to see our sick babies. Come to find out both of our babies had PARVO and got it from the other puppy we adopted. We came back everyday to get fluids put in their backs and Dr. Delong was GREAT every step of the way. He informed us on how to disinfect our home/yard as well as how to help our puppies at home. I have come back on numerous occasions and have never had anything but exceptional care. I will not be going anywhere else!

Great service. They took good care of getting Katy set up as a regular patient. So far I'm pleased. UPDATE: 7/20 Terrible experience. Will not be bringing Katy back. Katy is a very docile dog and not aggressive. My husband took her to get her nails trimmed and the staff demanded she be muzzled because Katy sniffed them. She did not growl, bark, or demonstrate aggressive behavior. My dog was was traumatized the rest of the day. I am so tired of vet offices that have staff that are scared of animals for no reason. I’m also still waiting to get an email of the records I requested so I can switch to a different vet and a call from the office manager. Very poor service!!!

We have been a client at Chestnut Mountain Animal Hospital for a number of years and we have always been extremely impressed with their friendliness, competence and professionalism. Today, we brought in our newly adopted Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy for his first visit. The office’s attention to detail in protecting us, our puppy and office staff from the pandemic was exemplary and very appreciated. We are happy to offer our highest rating to this caring place.
