Im not sure what was wrong before and why all these people say the staff was no good. I had a perfect experience myself. Cat had broken tooth, called Sunday and got in by 9am Monday morning. Hardly waited at all. I was in and out in about an hour or less. I recommend these guys based on my experience. Ive been to a lot of vets and like this one best so far.

Avoid this place at all cost, the tech named Cassie gave us such attitude while changing our appointment on the spot without explaining a single thing. Ended up leaving without doing anything. I won’t be coming back here.

Everything I experience with taking my dog for a check up was average. They weren't crazy rude nor super friendly.

Called prior my visit to make an appointment and they said they said they were available to make one at 12:30. Showed up there on time, I checked in and after almost one and a half hour waiting I stand up and told the lady at the front desk how much longer I was going to have to wait for my dog to be seen, she looked at me impressed like if she didn’t know we were waiting there this whole time and then she said I was gonna have to drop off my dog because doctor was “at lunch” and that she’ll be back at 2 pm. Told her I had waited over 1 hour and that over the phone I was never told I was gonna drop off my dog, even when I checked in nobody mentioned my appointment was for a drop off, since it was almost 2 o’clock I told her I was going to wait for the doctor to come back but that I needed to know he was going to be seen right now and all she said was “we’ll try”. What’s the purpose of calling prior visit to make an appointment when they’re gonna have you waiting for almost 2 hours? What a way to waste people’s time and to play with your dog’s health!

Needed to get my dog in and Called the Mall of Georgia location who they said they could get my pup in at 1:15 the same day. I ended up being a little late due to traffic but called ahead and was able to get in by 1:20. They took my dog back at 1:40 and said that it would take around 2 or so hours. I called around 3:30 for an update and they basically said nothing but to come pick her up at 5:30. I was kinda annoyed because I drove almost an hour to this location and now was told to wait 2 more hours. Then when I came at 5:30 they said they still haven’t seen her yet and to come back at 6. Mind you, they close at 6 so how are they supposed to see my dog, do diagnostic tests on her and get her treated in 30 minutes? I’m so upset and this has ruined my entire day. Absolutely ridiculous.

Dr. Youngblood is a stellar, kind, and communicative vet. The vet techs are very kind with the pets. Front desk staff are nice.

I have been taking my dog there for a bit now and even bought a wellness plan. I took my dog in NUMEROUS times for inner ear issues, outer ear issues, excessive shedding, licking at feet, and back issues. I would drop them off at 8am EST and they said he will be ready shorty and they would call me. I typically would not hear until after 2pm at the earliest, even though I am told he will be ready and out before noon EACH TIME. THey never are able to figure out his ears or shedding or back. I went to another vet and within 45 minutes they figured out what the issue was. So now I am paying $60+ a month for NOTHING. THIS IS HORRIBLE SERVICE and want to cancel my useless wellness plan with this BANFIELD facility

If I could give zero stars I would. They gave my dog vaccines without my consent when she was in for a sick visit, then misdiagnosed her with kidney disease without running a urinalysis, and missed a Mast cell tumor for over a year of bringing her in for lumps she was getting. I took her for a 2nd opinion and she did not have kidney disease but has cancer. I was relieved for a minute until I got the worse diagnosis. Banfield let my dog go a whole year without treatment. Do not take your dog there. They will kill your dog.

My dog loves Dr.Laye and all the other veterinarians and staff, you can really tell they love the pets they see. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a little on weekends but alot of people don't understand that they are seeing their own patients but other patients where their doctors are not open on the weekends.

Slow, lacking professionalism. Every time, I hear them all gossiping about one person, then next visit that person is no longer working there or works there very minimally. It is abundantly clear that the turnover (a new nurse at every visit) rate has significantly increased. I don't know how they train people - and suspect they don't - when they have new hires because they seem overbooked, frazzled and hectic every time, but when all of this is evident to a client, especially a long term client!, it's time to reevaluate what you are doing.

Dr. Sims is good about communicating what treatments and what tests she has to do to our pup. The only complaint i have is the phone. Sometimes, it takes a few times for me to get connected to someone when I call.

Love the convenience of the vet and petsmart combined . The cost is a little to high on all care though.

Will never suggest going to this location. Brought my grandmother here as she never heard of petsmart or their hospital. She brought in her 10yr old Chihuahua because of a skin issue that he got a few months ths ago. She came to this location for a good experience and seemed to be where they were just money hungry. And thats what I seen aswell. After the initial visit my grandmother got a phone call stating that her dog was done being checked and that they had every reason NOT to give her dog back because she's neglecting him!!! (I did not know that this was said until she told me) However, I can assure you as a granddaughter that is not the case and this dog is very loved. She brought her dog here to get help for his skin that seems to be Hotspot and relieve after everything that she has done to help. But they told us he had fleas, infection, and a whole bunch of ther stuff. I have checked myself and he does not have fleas. He is bathed several times a month and also sheared twice a month. As be a white colored dog you would see fleas if he had any. My grandmother did agree to get a antibiotic to help with his skin issue as it was only $20something dollars, after we agreed to it they changed it to something else which was double to price. And when I said no to the other medicine they wanted to prescribe because of the cost(they are on a fixed income) they gave me a rotten look. It then took 15 minutes just to get us checked out and get the medicine. I wouldn't even call this a one star review.

This branch of Banfield Animal Hospital has had 6, count them 6, confirmed employee COVID cases over past 2 weeks and refuses to close their doors until they can get it under control. Please don't entrust these clowns with the safety and health of your pets as they clearly don't care about the safety and health of their employees/clients.

We had an appointment at 2:00 pm this afternoon for vaccinations for our dog. After waiting for an hour, the staff finally told my daughter it was going to be another hour and she could come back in an hour. THREE HOURS later (5:10 pm) our dog still has not received vaccinations. Customer service is TERRIBLE. Everyone blames someone else, but nobody will do anything. No vaccinations for our dog and a day wasted at the vet. Unprofessional. Unreliable.

I saw a veterinary assistant with very long, dark hair and glasses talking to a pet owner while I was at Petsmart today. She sounded very congested and was coughing a lot, and it wasn't a minor cough. I am surprised that in today's pandemic she is allowed to be at work as it endangers not only the clients, but the other employees as well. The CDC recommends sending employees who are symptomatic home. I had been considering using Banfield as my vet for my special needs dogs as I just moved here and had heard great things about this location, but no longer.

This has to be one of the worst Banfield's I've ever been to, expect to wait 45min-1hr after your appointment for your pet to be seen. Also, they will over charge you for every service you receive from them. I recently moved so this became the most convenient location to me and I've experienced nothing but poor service here. This location tried to charge me nearly $1000 for a tooth extraction with their insurance plan. I went to the location in Duluth to get it from nearly a third of the cost, this location is only focused on up-selling and not the care of your pet. They're scheduling is terrible, I've given them a few chances and they always seem to fail me. Unfortunately, I will have to be making a trip twice as far to get the care I need for my pet.

I believe I have already left a review but they are the very best and I won't be going anywhere else in Atlanta. They took care of my baby Ted when he had cancer and he survived an additional 6 months. When we had to put him down they sent the nicest hand written card. I have already signed my other child up here for a wellness plan. I trust the staff and the Dr's here.

They really cared about my dog, which was my baby, Diamond. The infection my Diamond had was not curable & spread quickly. They offered her the feel no pain medicine blessing. She passed away, but we were not alone, they were right there with us. I truly recommend Banfield Pet Hospital for y'all that have animals, that consider them your lil babies...... Sincerely, Jane

Brought our very sick cat in and was told they need to run $600 worth of test on him to determine the cause. It's been 10 days (doctor will call you back) and still no answer/response. Luckily, they prescribed an antibiotic that worked or he would be dead waiting on an answer. We basically paid $684 to write a prescription. After 15 years we cancelled our dogs wellness care plan and won't be taking any of pets back there. Find another vet.

I've been going to this location for about a year and a half now and the staff is always helpful and kind. Vets do a thorough check on your pet and take great care of them to make sure they're comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Called for a simple question over the phone, what I can give my dog to keep him calm during fireworks. They said I had to make an appointment... she couldn’t just answer my question and got real rude. She said I had to call another Banfield when I’ve been taking my dog to this one and paying a lot of money for his Insurance. They have all his records on file. Can’t believe that’s the way they treat their customers.

My friends took their little dog. They charged them 2000.00. He never got better and they took him to another vet. They lied to my friends and were deceitful lying and did all the wrong test. They didn't do the proper test and kept sending the dog home. He was still sick. They're dishonest and deceitful. Never will they go back again and never shop at PETSMART either. I'm saying to everyone to NEVER EVER take your animal to Banfield, you will regret it, if they get really sick!!! These people are a rip off scam and you could end up losing your furbaby over them taking more money than you could possibly have!!! Stay away from such a awful place!!!
