Our pups, Abby and Cooper have been a part of the Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital family for over six years. Dr. Stewart and Dr. Smith are fantastic vets and the staff is caring, polite, friendly and professional. I can honestly say that we have never had an unpleasant experience there. Kudos to the groomers Rose and Violet. They are very talented and keep our pups looking adorable! In six years neither pup has had a nick, cut or razor burn which is a testament as to just how good they are. If you want your fur babies to have the best veterinary and grooming care possible this is the place to go!

My first baby was so sick I had almost given up on him…. I took him to Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital ready to hear bad news…. Turns out he had a abscess on his canine tooth…. They nursed him with such care and he is back to normal…. As normal as a 14 year ole miniature pincher can be… I am forever grateful to the entire staff…

THE best animal hospital in Gwinnett! Dr. Smith was very professional and straightforward and the receptionist was very nice and responsive! Best grooming service in the area as well, AND they give medicated baths! This place is my go-to whenever my dog needs to be examined and treated.

I love the doctors and staff here. Every one is soo patient with my shy dog. And they explain everything very clearly which is the most important for me. Requesting appointments/ refills/question on the app is very easy! At times I have even received responses to my questions after working hrs !

This is the only animal hospital I go since I moved to Duluth in 1987. I even referred my friends and family to them. Thanks to all of their doctors helping many of my pets during these 34 years ????

I've used this doctors office for my entire life Growing up, this was our vet we always used and I've continued to use them in my adult life. I really like the staff and doctors. Of course, over the years, they've had a change of staff and doctors but everyone has always been very nice and easy to talk to.

Just moved to this area and looking for a good place to have our dog groomed. Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital is very close to where we live now and with the good rating we decided to give it a try. I made an appointment over the phone and the experience in person at appointment day is just as pleasant as when I spoke to the office Thank you for making us feel welcomed and also trying to help Oreo, our dog, staying calm (she does get nervous easily especially with all the fireworks the past few days). She came home happy with a great shine and wonderful aroma. ???? The price is very reasonable especially with the great service! We are so blessed to find this place to care for our dog right by our new home!

I recently brought my dog here for the first time due to him developing a problem with fleas. They were very quick about seeing me, I barely spent any time in the waiting room. The nurses were very attentive and helpful. Everyone was also really nice to my dog. Dr. Greene came in and did a very thorough inspection. She diagnosed the issue to my dog having an allergic reaction to the fleas. He got his yearly rabies vaccine as well and I was shocked by how affordable it was. All in all it was a great experience. Dr Greene is awesome and I wish I had caught the nurses names because they were awesome too! Thank you so much!

I called to get my cats nails trimmed and I was told they could do it with no problem when I got there they made us wait for over 15 min just to tell us they couldn’t do it without vaccination history. The vet was rude this was my first and last time ever going there

Amber is truly amazing! I have a very rambunctious little yorkie and she is always so patient and caring. She makes both my puppy and I feel very at ease. I was so grateful yesterday when I brought him in for his annual exam and she greeted us in the lobby. My puppy was barking and very anxious and she brought us back to an exam room right away and got him calmed down multiple times. Thanks Amber! Rose the groomer is also wonderful! She is able to get my puppy a cute and even hair cut even though he hardly sits still.

I recently dropped my dogs (TiTi & Zander) off here per a recommendation of a friend. I was looking to get my dogs groomed. The groomer Rose called me prior to getting their haircut, per my request. She listened to what I wanted and explained everything back to me. When I picked up my dogs I was overwhelmed with how good they came out. They certainly exceeded my expectations!! I will never go to another groomer going forward.

I tend to be a little too picky about anything to do with my furbaby, but Pleasant Hill has really exceeded all my expectations. They know exactly how to deal with my anxious dog and I honestly think my dog looks forward to the vet. Special shout out to Amber. She can always get my dog to calm down and makes everything from routine vaccines to unexpected health issues as stress free as possible and my dog adores her. The staff always takes the time to explain everything from costs to what to look for after a procedure or even how she did while boarding. When I say I love this place, I moved away and still make the trek to this vet whenever needed because I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Oh my gosh I can’t speak highly enough about this facility! Amber the manager is AMAZING! I have two extremely rambunctious pitbulls that are very very hard to board. They are not good with other animals or people. I trust them 100% to take care of my babies! If you have dogs that are a bit difficult ... rest easy that they will be in good hands with Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital. We even moved to Walton county right outside of Athens and we STILL drive to PHAH to board our dogs.

The staff people are rude. They charge you for things that you didnt aprove and I don't like the idea of them taking my dog away and I don't even know wich medication they are given to my Dog. I want to be present. They just want to charge a lot $$$$$.

This place in my opinion is absolutely horrible. Please please please don’t bring your dog here. I went on vacation and left my dog here for four days. I told them when I dropped him exactly the time that I would be picking him up. When I called to check on him during my vacation, I even told the worker what time I was going to pick him up and both times the workers said OK. So here I come Saturday between 430 and five like the time I said I was going to pick my dog up and they are closed and now refusing to give me my dog. There’s a worker in there she had to call the manager because she didn’t know anything. The manager Amber was very rude on the phone. She hung up while I was speaking and told me that I had to pick him up on Monday. So I had only paid for the four days so I’m not understanding why they couldn’t release him to me when they have a copy of my id. I would say save yourself the headache and take your dog elsewhere. I will never bring my dog here again. It was the first and last time. I was referred to a family friend. They also will no longer be going there. It was my mistake that I didn’t read any reviews or go on their website. Never again. Update: This place in my opinion is horrible and it's staff is clearly needs more education on their policies and how to handle customers the correct way. Picked up my dog this morning after they held him from me this past Saturday and wouldn't release him to me. I drove over there to get him as soon as they opened. The tech said I had to pay which I find very ridiculous because you held him from me why should I have to pay. I don't have a problem paying but I wanted my dog first. I paid with him in my hands when I dropped him so I should be able to do the same when leaving. The manager amber started becoming rude so I started becoming rude as well and she called the police. Which I didn't have a problem with. I wanted my eyes on my dog. I don't know they could have done anything to him. I explained everything to the police but of course they were on the other side. No help whatsoever. No where In their policy does it say I can't hold him to pay (she said she wasn’t going allow that because I was yelling) . I even said the girl can stand by the door if she's that worried i would leave. The staff needs better training. I'm begging you please don't bring your pet here. I'm never going back Update (feb 2020 - owners reply) First off Janelle this was back in November and I am not sure why you are replying to this now of all times. I don’t know where you got your information from but everything your wrote is a lie. I was on my way to your establishment ON Saturday when I was having car trouble but I still made it there as I spoke to one of your employees and your rude manager. I told your staff on two occasions (dropping him off and calling during his stay to check on him) when I would be getting him and also the time and they said nothing to me. that is an issue with your staff!! If I had known this wouldn’t have been an issue. I have family down the street who could have come to get my dog. Your manager is rude and needs some more education. I don’t know where you got your information from but the police did not tell me that I had to calm down or they would put me in the cop car. That is a blatant lie and I’m disappointed that you as the owner are lying. I was fine until your rude manager started yelling at me on the phone. I will not stand for that. You held my dog hostage and that unacceptable. I will not bring him here ever and my family has left this establishment as well to bring their dog to a more suitable place. If you would like to have a conversation about this feel free to call. .

Dr. Stewart is well liked by my finicky pup, Luna. She has taken the time to learn Luna’s issues in detail, problem solved Luna’s ongoing skin irritation, and made the necessary referral to a dermatologist when needed. Dr. Stewart is very knowledgeable, caring, and easily accessible when needed for follow up. The vet techs here are also very caring and help calm my anxious dog to make visits bearable for her.

Sometime, I think that my dog like the hospital more than home. I take my dog to groom every month, when we arrive the hospital, my dog knows where she need to go and say "Hi" to everyone. The nurse and doctors, groomer are very nice.
