I recently took my dad’s cat in for an evaluation. He thought she was close to dying, so I wanted to get a veterinarian’s opinion on how to proceed if that were the case. She is 18 years old, so I thought it might be time. Unfortunately, she wasn’t up to date on vaccines and also flea infested. Thankfully, Dr. Dopson Tillis saw us at the end of the day. She was so kind and caring with my dad’s cat and gave her the care she needed to feeling better. She was upfront with all the pricing and didn’t pressure me into anything I wasn’t comfortable with. We ended up doing bloodwork and Dr. Dopson Tillis gave me a personal phone call to tell me the results the next night. I was shocked that she called me to tell me what they were. It really showed me that she truly cared about her patients who are in need. Right now, Minnie is much more comfortable and recovering from what appeared to be a bad cat fight. We were also able to address her kidney disease and get her on a better diet for that. If you are in need of a vet who truly cares about animals and will go the extra mile, I highly suggest the staff at Ivy Hill.

The staff at ivy hill animal hospital are lovely. They are compassionate and caring. I've been going here for a decade and I've always been treated well as have my dogs. The technicians and doctors do a great job explaining everything. I truly realized how understanding and valuable this place was for my dogs and me during covid-19. Thank you guys.

My experience with Ivy Hill Animal Hospital has been absolutely wonderful! They have taken such great care of my two very sick cats, everyone from the receptionists, to the techs, and all of the vets have all been extremely sweet, professional, informative, patient, and spend as much time as it takes getting information from me and discussing treatment and options with me. I feel like each and every person here genuinely cares about my babies. I can not imagine ever going anywhere else, I feel more comfortable with them treating my babies than anyone else. I highly recommend them! I have now seen every vet there and most of the staff within the last two weeks and I have had such a great experience with all them. I am so thankful I found them, and my kitties are too.

We’ve taken our older golden retriever here for the past couple of years. We’ve had a few different vets within the office see him over that time and they’ve all been wonderful! He recently had trouble with his legs and I felt that the vets really listened to us and worked with us to find the right treatment for him. Dr. Ifkovits was our most recent vet and he went over and beyond to help us. We are very appreciative for their care, knowledge, and compassion for our sweet guy.

Our dogs have been patients at Ivy Hill for over a decade. We have always had excellent, caring doctors, and our dogs feel safe going there. This time was no different. One of our dogs presented with signs of something very serious, and Dr. Tillis was on top of things as usual.

This is a pricey veterinarian clinic but they are thorough and I appreciate their expertise. These ladies know their business and very much care about their patients and clients. It's the consummate you get what you pay for.

The staff is great but we boarded our dog here and when we picked him up, his paw and nose were bloody. The staff told us he had gotten stuck in the cage...this has never happened anywhere else when we've boarded our dog. I gave 3 stars because when we took him back to have them give us antibiotics and painkillers for his paw, they didn't charge us since the injury was their fault...

My beautiful Cockapoo has been a patient of Ivy Hill Animal Hospital for a few years now. Moving from the Midwest to the South, my dog developed allergies. For three years Ivy Hill has been managing her condition. Between quarterly Convenia shots and Apoquel, her condition has been managed. She has had extensive testing by Ivy Hill and it is confirmed her allergies would cause the itching and skin redness. Now here begins the issue, Ivy Hill would insist on a full examination with a charge averaging $45.00 to $55.00 every visit BEFORE they would treat my dog with a prescription of Apoquel or a shot of Convenia. Then during the visit, they would insist on a culture of her skin which would be another 19.00 to 25.00 dollars. Mind you that they have her records that outline her allergies for the last three years and the absolutely same treatment given. During the last visit, I asked for a prescription for the Apoquel so I can take it to a pharmacy that was less expensive, the Vet said that if they are not going to make a premium on filling the prescription, they would need to charge more for the exam. I swear this is true! And the Convenia shot that has been under 70.00 for years was now 100.00 for a 18 pound dog! In addition to this outrageous, unethical behavior where it was clear that the concern was making sure they charged the maximum amount at all cost, they injuried my sweet girl. During this last visit in May, I asked for her nails to be trimmed. They took her in the back and I hear her whimper, it's not her favorite thing to have done, but she was gone longer than usual. I went to the door to ask why was this taking so long, and the Vet indicated that my dog had an accident and pee'd on herself. My dog is 6 years old and never has had an accident like that. I let it go and a couple of days later, and I noticed that my sweety was licking the meat of her paw gently and whining. She let me take a look and she had been cut. It was a sharp half circular fine cut. I know that this happened while at the Vets office and that is why she had pee'd on herself. I am livid because they never said a word..dishonest and very unprofessional. I called the office and left a message, they NEVER returned the call. While there are good reviews about Ivy Hill Animal Hospital, I am here to say that they do have many issues. They are money hungry and will try to justify charging for test that are unnecessary. My daughter has allergies and eczema, and she gets refills all the time. She doesn't have to be examed EVERY TIME a refill is required. I have a very healthy dog, thank goodness! Today my sweety had a nail trim with another animal hospital and I insisted that it be done in the examination room with me present. She did fine and she was given a prescription for Apoquel without demanding that they fill the prescription or attempted to adjust my bill to accommodate the "loss" of not making more money. And the nail trim was less expensive than Ivy HillAnimal Hospital.

When we moved to this area 17 years ago, we could not find a vet who was as kind and caring and skilled as our vet in Roswell. We finally asked them for a recommendation, and they recommended Ivy Hill and we have been going there ever since. They have taken great care of our first dog, and then our two dogs that we have now. We couldn't be happier and we highly recommend them.

Doctors in this practice are very friendly and handled my dog very well. Front office staffs were not as friendly as doctors. During the check in there was no greeding, and during the check out, I paid and waited for some explanations but no instructions about follow up appointment or medication and turned around without saying bye. She might had a bad morning. Hope she does better job next time. I will go back to this place again in few weeks and i will update my review again if my experience changes.
