If you would have asked me 6 months ago I would rate higher. I recently had a terrible experience here with my dog. They do not live up to their motto of "they treat them like their own". After this particular visit I was told it could get worse, which it did. He declined rapidly and severely. When I called to get more help and guidance for him ALL I was told was "she said it could get worse and their earliest appt was mid afternoon". Fortunately I got him in right away at another animal clinic where they validated my concerns and treated myself and Vader with compassion and urgency. They admitted him and starting the different treatment right away. They did WAY more than switch him to prednisone. At this point I just needed help for my dog, I didn't care where. I never said he wasn't ever coming back to Animal medical center. I also waited a while to write this review. But not 1 person reached out to ME to see how Vader was doing! Other than routine visits and play time I've had 2 different dogs there a total of 3 times over the last 5 years. 2 of those visits being life threatening conditions. Yet I was called a helicopter pet mom by the front staff. I truly believe that this environment affected Vaders care. Maybe a compassion fatigue seminar would do the office well. Im not upset about the misdiagnosis. The hurt and frustration did not come only from not being able to see him. They did not even care to speak to me on the phone regarding his new severe symptoms to inquire any other causes/issues. This turned out to be way different than ANYONE originally thought. They definitely let us down when we needed them for very valid concerns. I'd hate for anyone else to go through the helplessness and lack of concern in an urgent time of need. Thank you for responding on Google. I have edited my review and will update you here. After several hospital stays and months of ups and downs Vader is doing pretty well. I am sorry the office is having a hard time. I hope you all are safe and well. I knew there was something very wrong with Vader and I had to advocate for my dog.

The vet is extremely condescending and sarcastic. They are extremely overpriced. We decided not to take our dog to them for a procedure. We got a second opinion and AMC was charging us 4 times what we paid at the other vet. The other vet was amazing. If a vet treats a human poorly, imagine how they treat the animals.

We love Dr. Mike. He is the best vet we have meet with our 15 year old sheltie! Now with the new puppy we will only come here.

We love AMC but more importantly so do our pets. The staff is very accommodating and Dr. Joy is just that...a real JOY to work with! We never have a long wait and are always greeted with a friendly face. They are not the least expensive veterinarian around, but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay" so to me it's well worth it to make sure my pups are happy and comfortable.

We've been bringing our various animals here for almost 20 years. Dr. Mike is a fantastic veterinarian, extremely knowledgeable, and has a real knack for working not only with pets, but a real way with people as well! His staff are always extremely professional, smart, and fun-- it's always good to see them. A trip to the vet may not always be fun, but they do their best to make it as easy for you and your pet as possible!

Dr. Mike is very friendly and knowledgeable as is his staff. The AMC is also very conveniently located on Hwy 20 and Haw Creek Circle. I highly recommend the AMC.

Awesome doctors and staff. We use them when we are in town from Florida if we have any problems with our precious little rat terrier. Highly recommend

Dr. Leisa is seriously the best! She helped get to the bottom of what was going on with my dog when another vet couldn’t and tried to say he was fine. The entire staff here took my concerns seriously and rushed my dog in immediately on two separate days even though he didn’t have an appointment. Cant say enough good things about the people who work here.

Amazing staff, friendly, knowledgeable and just all around great!!

Dr. Mike does a great job at communicating with you , and informing you of what to expect. And his staff does a great job following up after the procedure.

I love this place! I take both my dogs here and have since I got them. I will never go anywhere else. They go above and beyond when it comes to customer care and care for your animals as if they were their own! Everyone is always super friendly when I go in. Plus they have really funny puns on their sign outside that changes weekly! Gotta love a vet with a sense of humor!!

I was so impressed with everyone here at AMC. They were so sensitive to my pets needs and made me feel like I had been going there for years. They really do treat your fur baby as if it were their own. The quality of service and care was much more than I had expected. I am so happy to have found this practice. I refer them to all of my friends.

Very attentive to our dog's needs

hasn’t even been a year and this vet has killed my dog and then my cat. their terrible. don’t bring your pets here ever. the jokes are good but the doctors aren’t at all.

I trust my Mister to this clinic, over all. I’ve never had a bad experience, and I’ve seen all the doctors. My Great Dane has a rare disorder. I was very upset. I called today very upset. Without hesitation, they seen us, and handled a panicked mom, and the problem. That means everything to me. They CARE!

Everyone there is very professional!

AMC was such a positive experience for both me and my 7 month old puppy! We are from out of town, and I made a same-day appointment through a referral due to GI issues. The staff was overwhelmingly kind, attentive, and friendly. Dr. Mike was so great with answering all my questions and providing very thorough explanation. He was 100% more caring than our primary veterinarian back home. The staff provided a great breakdown of cost beforehand, and eliminated unnecessary testing. I wish we could see Dr. Mike and the wonderful staff at AMC all the time!

I appreciate that they took my dog at the last minute when we had an emergency. The Dr. was also extremely passionate, detailed and his sense of humor is one of kind. I enjoyed my experience overall.

Friendly environment, and all the staff really makes me feel like they care about my dog when we are there for visits. Dr. Mike is great and very passionate about his patients!

Dr. Mike is the best vet and his practice is well run and super clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Mike always recommends the best treatment for the pet. I thank Dr. Mike a million times over for his help with our Cocker Spaniel who had a host of skin, ear, eye, and thyroid issues that he was amazingly able to control. The staff was also very caring and kind to us when we had to put our 17 year old cat down due to kidney failure. My rescue dog gets great preventative care there as well. I would highly recommend this place if your pet is your family and you expect the best!

We love our Vet! They always find a good time for us and all three of our animals love them. All of the staff is kind and attentive. We use their groomers for our BIG dog and they are wonderful! The Doctors are lovely and always follow up. They treat my furry family like their furry family, which is how it should be.

The entire team seems to genuinely love animals. The vets are compassionate and up to date on everything. Our dogs love playtime and are excited to go there for every visit.

A better facility you will not find. A better set of doctors, you will not find. Dr Mike and his team are the best

It's Christmas Eve and my older dog accidentally scratched my puppy's eye. I called them up and was told they closed at noon but they could check her out. I got there and absolutely fell in love with the staff and Dr. Mike was incredible! They answered all of my questions and were super sweet! We have found our new Vet!! Thank You guys so much for taking care of my baby girl!!
