They were there for my family on New Years night when I couldn't get any other "24 hr emergency vet" to answer the phone. I did have to wait for them to deal with pets that were worse off than us, but they did get to Clarence in a timely manner. They saved him for us, and we were able to pick him us as soon as he was ready. They were knowledgeable in answering all of our questions and even gave us follow up questions for our vet. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, and I would go to them again in an emergency.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This establishment is very unprofessional and rude. It was like dealing with uneducated kids. Please make the drive to UGA. Totally worth it.

Took my cat in and was lied to about the cost. I understand the E.R is always costly but no need to be rude to me about it when you tell me the final cost and I don’t understand why it’s so high so I ask to talk to someone about it and am completely ignored and just left sitting there and even worse the lady says and I quote “well that’s what happens when you bring your pets to the emergency room.” And then just walks away. Seriously so beyond rude.

I cannot say I trust this place and I must apologies for the proceeding rant. I will say the front desk staff was very nice and accommodating; however I am giving 1 star based on how the vet at this office handled my dogs situation. I took my dog here after he ate several puzzle pieces and vomited. After realizing he had vomited, I rushed him to this office. The vet took one x-ray of my dog and informed me that his stomach was full/distended and that there must be a blockage and she would need to do emergency surgery by cutting open not only his stomach, but his intestines as well. Wanting a second opinion, I took my dog to the UGA Emergency Vet and I'm glad I did. After doing just an initial assessment, the vet at UGA explained that he did not know how the vet at East Metro had come to her diagnosis of surgery. He stated this was not an emergency surgery situation, my dog's stomach was not distended, and my dog did not have pain when palpitating his stomach. He stated they would monitor my dog and make further evaluations if other symptoms presented themselves. Long story short, the vet at East Metro was going to perform an emergency surgery that my dog did not need at I'm sure a very pretty penny. Thanks to UGA, my dog is home resting without having had an unnecessary surgery.

NEVER BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE ! I SAT IN THE CAR FOR 6 HOURS WAITING FOR MY DOG TO BE SEEN & THEN AT 12 PM I WAS TOLD THEY WERE RUNNING OUT OF SUPPLIES WHICH WAS A LIE THEY JUST DIDN’T WANT TO SEE MY DOG. THE STAFF IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT & THE HEAD NURSE NICKY TOLD ME THAT I COULD TAKE MY DOG SOMEWHERE ELSE AFTER I HAD SAT IN THE CAR FOR 6 HOURS WITH MY DOG NEVER BEING SEEN. IF YOU WANT YOUR DOG TO DIE PLEASE GO HERE. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. NEVER HAVE I BEEN TREATED SO RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL. IF I COULD GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT 0 STARS I WOULD.

I had an emergency with my dog and called to let them know I was on my way. The person that answered the phone pretty much told me they had a 5-6 hour wait and that I should go somewhere else.

I would not bring a pet rock here for lack of appetite. Incompetent staff and a sever lack of compassion. Don't waste your time taking your pet here. Go to UGA. The price is really no diffrent and while the drive is longer you get compassionate staff and vets who actually care and want to help.

Terrible, was only concerned with getting money which was an insane deposit of 1400$ for an IV that lasted 7 hrs and did NOT help my dog. Sent him to Eastside hospital equally as terrible 2500$ later between the two vets and the outcome was death.

The doctors here and staff are exemplary. I am so thankful for the east metro animal emergency services. My precious 10-year-old dog suffered a major emergency on Sunday Father’s Day, the doctors and staff calmly took care of the matter professionally and my dog is feeling better even today keep up the great work East Metro.

While our story doesn't have a happy ending, we appreciate all that the staff at East Metro Emergency Animal Clinic did to care for our yellow lab mix. We were out of town when a complex blockage occurred. I received regular communication and was able to speak with the on-call veterinarian when I called at miscellaneous times. I also appreciate a staff member coming out to talk to me when I picked up our crate days later. Very compassionate and professional staff. We'll miss our sweet girl.

Very poor bedside manner, or no bedside at all seeing how we were not allowed to be with our dog when she passed. Rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend anyone taking a pet here. Waste of time and money, which was all they seemed to care about anyway.

My parrotlet had a leg injury from the breeder band on his leg. He was bleeding, and I was terrified. He was treated quickly, efficiently, and I rest easier knowing I have a nearby emergency vet that can care for birds when their regular vet is unavailable. Thank you guys so much!

Brought my pet because she was dying. Because of Covid, not allowed in to be with pet - the Drs. & Shareholders agree that it's best for clinic. To me, Dollars are more important than being with a loved one. I went somewhere else.

When we arrived at EM Emergency we were immediately greeted by Kelly. She obtained our info very quickly and got my dog in very quickly. Our wait for word from the Doctor was @ 30 minutes. The Dr was very informative and concerned about my dog and seemed to have done a very thorough check up. The cost for the visit was what we expected. I am so glad and grateful they are there. We have visited EM Emergency a few times with different pets and they have always been very attentive and caring. They have a great staff and we really appreciate each and everyone Thank You East Metro for being there for Fur Babies in need !!

I Do Not recommend this place to anyone. Took a cat there 2 years ago for my roommate whom is paralyzed, they put the cat to sleep & said they would only charge the euphemism fee & waive the rest. My roommate only had half of the cost & I paid the remaining fee. They never gave me a receipt or any paperwork stating services. Last month I received a statement from a collection agency where East Metro ER turned me into them stating I “owe” them $$ ! I tried settling it with Kelly the “new” manager & she refuses to give any validated reason due to ‘she wasn’t the manager at the time, & she sees a balance & she wants the $$! Very Unprofessional!! The account isn’t in my name, as she stated, but yet it was sent to a collection agency in my name? Be careful with This place!! Make sure you receive an invoice before exiting, regardless how upset or distressed you may be, hate to see anyone else get taken advantage of!! Lesson Learned!

I spent $400 to save my dogs life. They could've AT LEAST attempted to run an IV through my dog or something. Instead, they sent me home with a dog BARELY BREATHING, some medicine for nausea & my PUPPY DIED.

I wish I could put no stars this place cares nothing about the well being of your pet.

Poor customer service, there was no standard practice for payment collection. Appeared to be more concerned with the collection of money versus helping your pet, major differences between each shift and how they conduct business. When expressing the need for help for your pet, they suggested multiple tests and the suggestion of putting your down in a pre screening which should not be an option while seeking treatment. We work hard for our money and four legged friends and deserve the best treatment for both and to know our pets our getting the best service. Customer service means everything!!!!!

On July 21st at 7AM I called this place because my dog had been snake bit. I called and explained I had a bit of an emergency and they told me they can not see my dog, they close at 7:30. Well they lied because they close at 8 and beyond …

I'll spare all of the tragic details, but this establishment cares about money- not animals. Wish there was a ZERO stars option.

This vet saved my babies life. My cat had developed a nasty infection after a surgery at his regular vet. Luckily East Metro was there for us and everyone involved was so sweet. The before and after pictures speak for themselves.

Terrible place! They were very Ignorant very expensive, and seemed more like a slaughter house for pets. If you love your animals and don’t want to get ripped off DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Privately owned by the devil.
