The staff here are simply amazing. They took great care of my Maverick when he had a terrible fainting episode where I thought he was going to die, and now he’s doing great today because of them. Highly recommended.

My shepherds love going to see Dr. Hughston. Really, every time that we go for their annual checkup, I ask them if they are ready to go see the doctor, and in my truck they go wagging their tails! She’s a very good doctor.

River Road truly goes above and beyond and you can tell they genuinely care for you and your animals. Dr. Houston has been a huge help for our puppy with epilepsy along with our German Shepherd. She will check in and make sure your dog is healing or doing okay. I don’t just feel like I’m another person going in, I feel like she actually cares which makes a huge difference. If you’re looking for a vet, go to River road!! You will LOVE them!

Amazing staff who truly care for your animal as if it was their's. Dr Houston is cut from a very very special cloth that is almost never seen at all these days in the medical field, much less in the Veterinary portion of it. She truly has yours and your animal's best interests and at the forefront of her mind in every decision she makes. She will not steer you wrong with any advice she gives you. I will guarantee you that. You can trust her advice 100%.

They lost my cat! This was my first time taking any of my babies to their clinic. I just told the girl that my baby was scared of people & really skittish. She was a stray cat that I took in a little over a year ago. I'm not sure if she had been abused or what she had been through before I took her in. She wasn't inside but maybe 2 mins & I seen her run past my car down the road. The veterinarian seemed concerned about trying to help me find her for a few minutes but all of the office staff had attitudes. I am so upset. Why would they let me cat out of the carrier if they didn't have her in a room with the door closed. This makes no sense to me. I am extremely upset about losing her & that's not to mention that the reason I took her for the visit is because she was sick. So now not only have I lost her but without treatment it may be fatal to her. There is no excuse for why this happened.

A veterinarian told us that our 19 year old cat was in kidney failure and that she was dying. They recommend that we put her to sleep. We decided to get a second opinion and took her to the River Road Animal Hospital. The Vet there , Dr. Houston said that she was fine she only had a thyroid issue and she prescribed some medicine for her. We highly recommend the River Road Animal Hospital. They know what they are doing.

Very polite and respectful to me and handled my issues quickly.

Used them sense they first opened and now I need there help because i lost job and home and They turned their back on my animals and said no free help for any animal anymore.

Wonderful doctor and staff. I know they are doing best they can under the circumstances but usually have to wait 30-45 mins for someone to get your pet.

Had another amazing visit today. Staff here is wonderful. All very knowledgeable and polite. Dr. Houston is a fantastic vet. Very professional and friendly.

Dr. Houston is an excellent vet doctor. The technicians were all great. Only thing I didn't like is the curbside service.

The prices when compared to other veterinary clinics are outrageous. I fully believe I could spend the night in the hospital for less than it cost me one night there. No accountability taken or provisions made for complications after surgery.

Friend took her cat that was having seizures here. They said they don't accept animals after 5pm while the cat was seizing at the door. The cat died the next day. Wish there was a 0 star option.

I have been an extremely faithful client/mother to my furbabies at this clinic for DECADES! Dr. Houston took excellent care of our 14 year old Lab Mix, "Duke", and 18 year old Lab Mix, "Pepper" even after they both crossed The Rainbow Bridge. I now have another rescue who is my sweet girl that I am keeping safe for someone special to me. Her name was Georgia in the beginning, but we decided not to change her name. She IS able to wear a pink Auburn University collar like no one else..!!! River Road treats everyone like family. Very reliable, empathy like none I have seen before, thorough with examining and communicating about your pets' needs. Dr. Carol Houston, DVM, is WONDERFUL!!!! I trust her and the staff ENTIRELY AND COMPLETELY!!!!

Been taking my animals here for 25+ years. Dr. Houston and her staff are amazing. They are so friendly, caring and compassionate. Dr. Houston takes her time answering any questions you may have and never makes you feel like you're a bother. Love her and the staff.
