Good hospital to bring your fur family. So far no problems with there scheduling of appointments like some other establishments. My only gripe was at Check in. It should not have taken over 35 minutes to drop my dog off, if they're charging an extra $60 fee for drop off service. All in all, it was still better than the last pet hospital I took my dog to... Even though their drop off service made me 40 mins late for work, I'll continue to use this hospital when needed.

I don't know how to begin to thank you all for simply being AVAILABLE to help me during my dog's emergency. I appreciate everyone's kindness and willingness to chat. We'll be coming here for service from now on.

We arrived a few minutes early thinking there would be a wait. As soon as we walked in we were greeted an asked to fill out a new patient form. Before we could complete the form, a staff member asked a quick question for the reason for our visit. Too our surprise we were called back at the appointed time and greeted by a vet tech. From that point on everything went smoothly.

Overall quality and care has gone down. They’d rather argue with their customers on Facebook & share breeder posts than actually help your animals. I played phone tag for weeks trying to get my animal the help she so desperately needed only to be told they were “so busy” no one could send referrals for over 72 hours. Then, come to find out, they have plenty of time to share a personal pet breeder’s posts on their Facebook (need I even point out how messed up that is? Making our problems in Columbus so much worse when these pets inevitably end up as strays or worse.) Honestly after watching their candor, this is a super unprofessional place. If you value your animals, please consider Animal General Hospital in lieu of this place.

I am very pleased with 2nd avenue animal hospital. They are always so welcoming and will see pearl with last minute appointments whenever she gets sick or needs to come in for whatever reason. I know my pup is in good hands with them.

Nobody cares more about you pet than Second Avenue. All the staff continually go above and beyond to give you and your pet the BEST service for the best price. They treat your pet as if it was their pet, and I love that. I've been taking my pups there for 11 years for everything from shots, to check ups, to boarding, to day care. I don't trust anyone else like I do them.

The staff at 2nd Ave Animal Hospital is so caring towards my animals! We previously went to another vet where everything was very cold & impersonal. For my anxious pup, that environment made her more likely to snap & need a muzzle. But at 2nd Ave, they make sure my girl is feeling safe and comfortable before giving any shots or doing an exam. Because of their thoroughness & compassion, she has not needed a muzzle with them. As a pet owner, seeing your anxious pet being comforted by vet staff is so reassuring. They put the pet’s needs & comfort first. Big thanks to all staff here. <3

I have to change my review ....It was 5 stars over 2 years ago....the vet changed to a woman named Rene.....she was the coldest most heartless vet I have ever met. My mother's dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I talked her into bringing her here. What a mistake!!! The vet gave no resources, referrals, or advice of any kind. She was rude when I asked her and then she just walked out of the room!!!!! Not only did my mother vow to never bring her dog back ....I pulled my 2 dogs and 2 cats from their service. I can't help but think if this was my dog and she did me the way she did my mother I would have lost it!!! Heatless ...cold....horrible.....I will never recommend this vet or ever take my animals here again. I can't even express the devastation already felt from hearing such tragic news and then have the vet act like it was a bother!!!!!! done ...and done. I hope the business eventually shuts down.....I recommend if you love your babies as much as we love ours BEWARE....Heatless B#tch will be in the room!!!!! Below is my original post from 2 years ago: Make note ....HE NOT SHE Greatest Vet ever. He was compassionate, knowledgeable and explained everything about my puppy being sick. By the time we left my puppy was actually up and wagging his tail.( For 2 days he was so sick, vomiting, diarrhea, wouldn't eat or drink, lethargic. I thought he had parvo.) It was not just the personal treatment you receive, which is "top notch", but very inexpensive. They did tests, administered medication and an IV of fluids, plus medicine to take home and it was $118. So you can get a Vetinarian that treats you like your human and at an affordable price. Who can beat that!!!

In August, I called to make an end of life appointment for my dog. We were established clients, for over 8 years with 2 dogs and 6 cats. Dr. LaFranc saved our other dog from a poisoning, and saved our cat when he ate a lily. We loved him. When I called, I was told that they wouldn't be able to see us for almost one month. I kindly let the the woman know that my dog was in pain, wouldn't eat, and had just pooped and it was orange, signaling liver failure, and couldn't wait a month. She told me they couldn't make an exception for me and not for someone else. I asked to speak to a vet and was told no one was available. I ended up calling another place who was able to get him in and were incredibly kind and understanding. I was, and still am, very upset by this. I understand that vets are under enormous pressure, clinics are understaffed, and clients can be awful- some of my friends are vets and techs. But my dog was literally dying and we were clients of almost a decade.

This is an animal's home away from home. Our dog likes it here so much that we are afraid that he won't want to come back home after staying awhile. The staff take excellent care of the animals and we look forward to receiving the daily picture of our dog.

Dr. LaFranc is a great vet. I have been dealing with him for about 13 years. He is a very compassionate vet. You can tell he loves his job. His staff is great!

I have been taking my four legged child here for years and I have never regret one day of it. They r always so warm and helpful about each individual animal, they truly do care and it shows in everything they do. I wudnt take my baby anywhere else and I suggest if ur looking for a vet that u give this one a try.

Great place to take your pet to, probably saved her life. Friendly, professional and accommodating, was able to get my Princess taken care of even without an appointment. I highly recommend.

Great personal service. Maintained contact by phone and in person. Not inexpensive, but typical of vet business these days.

Great Veterinarians and technicians. They provide excellent and caring service. Additionally, I love the loyalty rewards program. This program saved me $73 on my dog’s last appointment.

The told me I couldn't bring my dog in and suggested I go to some Auburn Clinic. I couldn't get there. Needless to say my puppy died. I would have given them NO STARS but I had to put 1 star just so I could give my review

My cat had been seeing them for a few years. Lost a tooth (snapped off at the gum) 6 months after his latest checkup. Due to availability I went to Weems road. Had to pay to have another tooth removed and his teeth cleaned which totaled over $500. They assured me his dental issues had not accumulated in just 6 months and that the previous vet had not done their due diligence.. never referring again. This cost me money and my cat is in pain from the procedure and losing 2 teeth this vet could have avoided

Dating in the workplace isn't that big of an issue, or it shouldn't be. But when you're wearing the uniform of your place of business, you should probably not conduct yourself as if you're jam packed full of hormones. You're representing your place of business. And that's just tacky.

All of my pets go here and we love our vet! Staff are professional and personable. Get your pets in as established patients!

I don't know what other experiences are like, but mine was not a good one. The girls at the front desk are absolutely amazing and sweet. They are concerned about my issues, and are not dismissive like some other clinics, but the doctors are horrible. They offer services for exotics. I have a small rabbit and he just falls under that category. One, please do not claim to service animals if you do not have experienced staff who can care for these animals. Two, the doctors and the technicians are extremely condescending, and will put you down for asking what they deem as a stupid question. Please do not bring your smaller animals here as they are ill equipped to service them.
