FABULOUS!!! So very good with our dog!!

I was welcomed with desire and professionalism, which is important to me. We were treated with care and concern, but not only that, with appreciation also. That really says a lot about the practice as a whole. I have been to numerous vets in the past and I wasn't treated, by any of them, like they were happy we were there. We have truly found our vet family.

I'm new to Athens and I needed to get my older cat seen quickly. Sounds weird but as a college student without family near by and able to help me figure out the process of taking a pet to the doctors, I was helped through the whole process with ease. From the first phone call I had with Barber Creek Veterinary Hospital, I was given clear instructions on how to do everything. The day came for my cat Oscar's visit and the entire staff was so calm and helpful. Due to COVID I couldn't go in with Oscar but I wasn't worried once during the process. After Oscars check up, Dr. Poole came and talked me though every issue my cat had and what treatment he recommended. I was satisfied with my cat's overall care and even later that day after leaving the hospital, I called with a few questions and they all were answered quickly. I will recommend Barber Creek Veterinary Hospital to anyone with a pet and I will be bringing Oscar back again if I ever need! I can't say enough good things about them other than THANK YOU!

I don't think it could get better. We really enjoyed our experience at Barber Creek veterinary. Its especially a value when the veterinarian comes out to meet you and explain the conditions of your fur babies. That is high quality care.

I just started coming to Barber Creek with my two dogs and I have nothing but positive things to say about them and their staff. One of my dogs is very skittish and they are always so patient while getting him inside and he always comes out looking so comfortable afterward. I previously discovered my other puppy has a slight heart murmur, in which Dr. Stirn has been nothing but amazing and helpful in dealing with through ordinary care as well as surgical procedures. He explains everything he does with each dog in great detail, even calling me back later in the day to verify what we talked about in an earlier conversation about food brands. Overall I strongly recommend Barber Creek, as they take the time to care for your pet’s individual needs all the while putting pet parent’s mind at ease through it all! Prices are also very comparable to other vets in the area.

Recently I took a sick kitty to Barber Creek Vet hospital. The staff was friendly and compassionate and the doctor took a great deal of time discussing the kitty's diagnosis. We were brand new patients and were impressed and delighted with the care.

Barber Creek Veterinary Hospital is a wonderful place to take your pet for care. They are responsive, friendly, provide excellent customer service, and are fantastic with animals! My dog is never afraid when I take him for care and boarding. He is comfortable and feels safe with everyone there. I highly recommend Barber Creek and encourage anyone that wants superb care for their pets to bring them here!

Everyone in this place was phenomenal. I've taken my cat with food allergy issues to multiple vets in the city, and Dr. Stirn at Barber Creek was the one who figured out how to fix it. My cat was throwing up, having constant diarrhea, and did not show interest in anything, and not only did Barber Creek consider her illness, they were also very considerate of me and my wife's financial situation. It took about 4 weeks of back and forth, but Dr. Stirn would always take our calls, answer our questions, and worked with us to find the best treatment and food for our Sesame. She is now healthy and back to her regular self, and I'm very grateful for Barber Creek. Thank you!!!

We have been going to Barber Creek Vet. since they opened. They have always taken great care of our many of pets over the decades. The staff is wonderful and caring. Cole is extra awesome with my elder dog who needs the extra gentle care. Can’t thank them enough!

I love this place my Lil Chihuahua got sick and the veterinarian we been taking both of our dogs for a long time at shoals creek couldn't get us in I thought that was crazy my little girl was sick if Dr Elder was still there it wouldn't have been any problem. We called two places the first there was no answer I call Barber Creek we were told to bring her in. They were so nice and respectful concern about her needs questions we ask we go answers she was ok to go home with medicine before that night she was doing better. The call to check up in her and ask how we were. I ask were they accepting and new patients they said yes we are. Immediately we made that change because the vets we had was talking next week we could have lost our fur baby. I love these Vet and the staff it might be way on the other side of town but when it come to my two fur babies it's worth it with caring people that really love and cherish your pets. I love that you can board and groom them to. So good by shoals creek which is too pricey hello Barber Creek Veterinary Animal Hospital our new home. ????????????????????

Our pup had surgery, which they were able to schedule quickly around our plans, and were incredibly helpful during the recovery. He ended up losing a staple and the wound opening, and they were able to see us same day to help assess and fix the issue! They were very communicative post surgery about what they had to do and how he did, and answered all of our questions and addressed the concerns that we had at the time and that came up post surgery. Very polite and return calls and emails in a timely fashion! Very happy they are our vet! Wouldn't go anywhere else except here and their sister vet.

The staff here is always friendly, patient, and compassionate. Excellent care is take with each pet. I would also like to say I really appreciate the extra steps Barber Creek has taken for safety during this pandemic time.

I love how you are handling social distancing! The clinician provided their own lead and picked up my dog from the car. The vet called from inside, explained their plan, and when they were finished called to explain care, took my credit card over the phone, and brought Scylla back to me with my receipt. Well done!

Wonderful experience, loved the staff and the way they treated my animals. It’s my pets second home and I wouldn’t trust anyone else!!

Had to get my cats boarded for the day but they were behind on vaccinations. This vet took them in with only a few hours notice and provided excellent care for them, getting them up to date on all vaccines and keeping them until I could bring them back to my apartment in the evening.

Dr. Stirn and Dr. Brewster saved my eight year old kitty's life. He had an URI and for 6 days I had to bring him back and forth for meds, etc. He ended up staying the weekend. Dr. Stirn never gave up even when I was about to. I will be forever grateful. He was so understanding and answered all my many questions and reassured me that he was going to get better. The rest of the staff was awesome also.

Everyone i spoke to was professional and friendly. I knew my pups were in good hands! I received sound medical advice and multiple options for minor treatments - no upsell! I felt respected as a pet owner and my dogs truly cared for. They came back happy after their examination. I highly recommend Dr. Stirn and the great staff!

We have not been regulars with taking our pets to the vet, but we wanted to do better. So glad we chose Barber Creek and Dr. Brewster is the best. I wish I could go in with my pets, but I’m glad they are taking COVID very seriously. Staff is very friendly and it’s easy to get an appointment. Fees are very, very reasonable. I look forward to our dogs yearly visits!

Barber Creek is a wonderful place to take your little dog too. Dr Stirn was so helpful when our Greta had to have surgery. She is doing a lot better now. The whole staff at Barber Creek are so considerate and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.

Previously, I adopted a mastiff and the owner lied about the aggressive nature of this beautiful dog that she’d ruined, so of course I had to return him. When I spoke to Elizabeth (to cancel the dog’s 1st wellness appt..) she was extremely empathetic, kind and encouraging in her help with my heartbreak. I recently adopted a puppy and had him checked out by Elizabeth and Dr. Stern. The receptionist was lackluster but professional and efficient. However, I will return for the warm and inviting mannerism shown to my new puppy and family (grandchildren, daughter and myself) by Elizabeth and Dr. Stern. They made sure that every question was answered, and every fear abated by caring about our fur baby and his comfort while making his first wellness visit a success (by listening to me and my concerns, conferring with me to find the best plan, showing a willingness to explain, and making this a fun visit). I hope it’s always this great!

My cat had developed a skin condition that was making her miserable. Barber Creek squeezed her into the schedule and saw her that day. Took 10 minutes to diagnose and treat her. If I waited for the other vets, my cat would have had to wait and suffer for two more days.

2nd time we used Barber and they once again had a lot of patience in getting our dog Toby to go inside with them. He must of enjoyed his grooming experience because his tail was a wagging We will definitely be back to start the year in 2021 Thanks for doing a great grooming on Toby.
